Sheriff's plan to put Feds back in their place

Sheriffs and peace officers from across the country will be meeting with likeminded supporters for a national convention focused on one goal: restoring constitutional rule in the United States of America.

From May 31-June 1, the Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association, or CSPOA, will be meeting in St. Charles, Mo., for its Heartland of America Conference.

The purpose of the conference is to equip sheriffs, peace officers and public officials with information and public support to carry out their oaths of office – specifically, to uphold the U.S. Constitution – recognizing that in the case of federal overreach, the county sheriff may be the last line of defense in protecting Americans’ constitutional rights.

I hope there are enough good

I hope there are enough good elected Sheriffs in our country.

There are not enough.

There's approx. 3000 sheriff's in this country and most of them are politicians, or career oath breakers!

I agree,

And Sheriffs are elected.

Understanding Black Box Voting and all, it still comes down to the culture.

Educate your local culture because the 'system' is under a great deal of stress. World Wide.

I wish Sheriff's took their oath's serious

I agree with Deacon and Bob-45 below... Most of the sheriff's who will attend the conference will go home and be the same as they ever were.

Maybe a few will open their minds up and take their oath more seriously, but not nearly enough will

i see

just federal over reach, not from the state over reach, nor their own
and all the while they hand out tickets for no seat belts, lie in wait
and give tickets for dog owners, who have no license for their pets.
maybe they should look into their own wrong dealings fist, then worry about other second
if sheriffs upheld the law, most jails they run would be empty
but they are full of non violent offenders

If we deny truth before your very eyes, then the rest of what we have to say,is of little consequence

There is nothing

There is nothing unconstitutional about any laws you mention. They are marching for the constitution, not to end bad laws.

right !!!

because they get to pick and choose which laws they want to uphold
and seeing them sheriffs are peacekeepers, and not law enforcement
there role is not to uphold statutes, ordinances and codes
they are hired by the people,to do the peoples will(not the corporations)
and seeing the people did not vote them laws into existence, then they have it wrong, and are not doing the will of the people
did i mention the const,in my comment? i sure didn't,but seeing
the sheriffs swear their oath's to it,don't they then break it by upholding things that are not laws? you know, seeing the const is supposed to be for the people, and not bars to restrain them, but is infact a restraint on the fed gov.so are they then doing their mandate to the people?

I'm merely pointing out that

I'm merely pointing out that the sheriffs are rallying in support of the constitution. It seems to me that this is a good thing sense they swear to defend the constitution. The laws you mentioned have nothing to do with what was posted.

Good for these law enforcement officials in trying to do the right thing.

i know what you are pointing out

but aren't laws created that go against the const and being upheld by the sheriffs unconst?
seems to me this is the case, the bill of rights was not a restraint
against the people, but a restraint for the gov
so,if there are laws, statutes, ordinances and codes, that go against the
const, the will of the people, aren't them sheriffs going against the const,of which they purport to uphold? (this is/was my point)
if there are laws that directly contradict the will of the people, and the sheriffs are upholding them, doesn't this break their oath of office?
so by them only following ONE law so far, does that them good in your eyes?
the sheriffs have the authority, given to them by by we the people
to not follow laws and such, that do not line with the const
so if they have that power, and they uphold every corporation
color of law, aren't they then breaking their oaths, and possibly breaking the law?(the law of we the people)remember it was not we the people who created these laws in the first place, and seeing them so called elected reps are not law makers don't they then break that oath too?
