New Ideas: Learn from the TV show "WEST WING"!

Any other fans of the West Wing notice the similarities between Ron Paul's campaign and that of Santo's and Vinicks campaign's from Season 6 and 7? Might not art insprire real life? (Both campaigns are romantic and idealistic). What can we learn?

For example;

1. Santos has been denied entry to the debate (just like the FOX incident). Lyman suggests a 'silver bullet' TV advert to turn around Santos' campaign, an add 'so feisty' it will get replayed on every major TV station for free. Lyman produces a "Too Chicken to debate us" add which Santos rejects as beneath him. He then marches into a local TV station, and to everyones astonishment, gives a LIVE, impromptu speech into the camera - heroically ending "and you dam better believe I approve this add" which creates a media frenzy.

2. Arnold Vinick is a Libertarian Republican! McGarry describes him as the most honest man in Washington. A Democrat describes him as the man who holds principles that 60% of Americans agree with 60% of the time - "You can unite this country...show us how much we agree on". Note how Libertarian Republican principles can 'steal the middle' - (This should be Ron Paul's domain - not Obama's!)

3. Vinick's "talk till they drop" press conference - exhausting an issue and showing how he stands on principle

4. "He'll kiss every baby in the joint ... and sound more honest ...because he is!" - Babies are Ron Paul's domain! It might be old news for us Paulites, but the 4000 babies line is an exciting initial drawcard for those who know little of Ron Paul!

There are dozens more examples we can learn from. List them here - perhaps one of them will inspire one of us to initiate or implement an idea which will reverberate thru the mainstream media!
