"The Daily Kokesh"

I'm getting a creepy vibe from all the Kokesh supporters here. I commend the man for speaking truth to power. May we all be so vocal in the pursuit of turning hearts and minds towards liberty. But I have to say that the flurry of down votes against caution and reason and up votes for stuff you'd expect to hear from a whiskey-drunk teenager is disturbing.

Since he announced a planned march on DC, unannounced it, or announced a march on all 50 State capitals, whatever is the plan today, it seems the fuse has been lit in the hearts and minds of many otherwise well-meaning liberty lovers who seem to be eager for something more than peaceful protest and demonstration. Ok, so you want something to go hot? How exciting will it be for you when you get arrested and spend the rest of your life defending your 2A in court, or by going rogue in the woods to keep your hands on your pieces? How exciting will it be for you when Congress reconvenes with the full force of Reid, Schumer, Pelosi, Feinstein, etc., etc., etc., behind the "need to do something" to keep "these 2A crazies" off the streets and unarmed? How exciting will it be if you or someone you know or love is killed due to friendly or police fire?

You do realize that the thought of filling a bridge up with armed men & women is a leftie's wet dream: "Hey if we can't kill them all it's one hellava crisis to NOT let go to waste!"

Speaking of the bridge, it seems like he to called out on the naive tactic of filling a bridge with armed men and women. You would think a former Marine could have done just a little bit better on that account? The English Army figured that one out at Stirling Bridge in the 13th Century. It's not rocket science, people.

You want to fight the man, I get it. You will lose... badly, and set the Pro-2A position back for at least a generation or two.

Maybe you haven't noticed, put the bong down. But We ARE winning. If you don't believe me, that's Ok, but please don't bring your guns to town en masse and expect anything good to come of it.

Now let's see how many down votes I can get on the Daily Kokesh.

As far as I am concerned, I DO advocate violence against tyranny

As far as I am concerned, I DO advocate violence against tyranny:

yes, EARLY violence against tyranny, VIOLENCE THROUGH THE VERB, WITH TRUTH, before too late and we have no other choice than doing it to defend ourselves with bullets - my rationale is in my last two comments, here, in reply to the Oath Keepers:

It is time TO ACCUSE, OUT LOUD, and call the TRAITORS by their names.

Those words have been uttered or written, and that alone calls for THE ROPE.

I'm very sad to say that we may see another Ruby Ridge soon

The government will have to shut up the liberty movement some how. And if not by recreating Ruby Ridge or a Waco, then possibly another Oklahoma City will surely demonize all liberty types and divide us into oblivion.

Please let this not happen. Hopefully enough people are awakening to prevent a false flag on the liberty movement.

Adam seems to be a ripe target and I really hope I'm wrong.

Couldn't agree more

Adam being a ripe target is why I made this post, maybe in a naive attempt to warn his followers, who have in no short order shown their hostility to such a notion. I think they're assuming they can make an armed and peaceable march on enemy territory, whereas they are used to such marches in other places that are much more friendly and tolerant to open displays of firearms. The Cops are going to do what they always do, they don't worry me so much because they will be on video. It's the MSM and their sheep that worry me the most, if something "exciting" happens. They will spin it into "armed and crazy right-wing nuts invading the Emerald City". Queue the flying monkeys. Every libtard I know will be jumping up and down going "see! see!". I'm certain we can all agree they don't need any help in that regard. Why give it to them? Not to mention the "authorities" who would live nothing more than some causus beli to reinvigorate the anti-2A factions.

Seems he's backed away from being the prophet on the bridge and styling it now as more of a spontaneous gathering, to take the focus off himself. It's the least he can do to keep the media from taking this out of context to paint a broad brush against the 2nd Amendment, but may be too little, too late. He's always going to be the guy that started it, loosely organized or not. I've mentioned before, if this were something GoA were behind, I think it would have much more potential to be presented in a positive light, since Larry Pratt & Co. are experienced professionals with regard to defending 2A rights. But this guy has too much of a 60s radical in him, something law-abiding citizens don't need in their corner for the 2nd Amendment.

I concur with the 60s

I concur with the 60s activist that said that Adam Kokesh seems exactly like the type of infiltrator that they were always dealing with, that gets arrested to build esteem, and than released with no explanation - completely phony in every way. And did you see that picture of two policeman in different places and events (and wearing different uniforms) that was actually the same cop?

It doesn't matter if you are not doing anything wrong. This type of infiltrator will make stuff up and make it look like you are doing wrong.

And it doesn't matter if Kokesh is only the wrong man at the wrong time, it's still a pointless thing to do if you are for the liberty movement - it's the exact reason he looks like an infilitrator - infilitrators always do pointless things - which have a great deal of point to another side.

And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor.

On your point... one thing

On your point... one thing that sticks out in my mind is when Adam covered the 1% Wall Street protest. He made it a point to discredit the movement by interviewing school kids that didn't have a clue. Why didn't Adam interview the Ron Paul supporters? At the very same time in the very same cities they protested the FED. He helped discredit the whole protest. He worked in concert with the mainstream media.

It isn't so strange how he was released. I imagine the FP looked at the evidence (way to much video) and dropped the charges.

Actually Adam did Interview Ron Paul supporters...

Actually Adam did interview Ron Paul supporters and other like minded libertarians during the OWS protest. Just because you didn't see the videos doesn't mean they aren't there, and a simple youtube search will give you a lot of results. I'm not going to address the rest of what you're saying because it's just nonsense.

robot999's picture

And don't forget

how Adam organized a march in Tampa for the RNC Convention in support of RP - then not only called it off, but dumped RP, publicly chastised RP, and endorsed GJ.

I was an RP delegate, and a member of the team that put together the "Grassroots" press release/conference. We were depending on Adam to muster the troops, to have yet another point of support to point to. But Noooooooooo, that didn't happen.

Instead, he stabbed Ron Paul and all of us who fought so hard, right in the back (and twisted the knife). I certainly will never follow his "leadership" again.

To be fair

The Ron Paul campaign was NOT in it to win it. i.e Jessie Benton, etc. Gary Johnson was at least a candidate for president, not just for nomination.

So you give up

throw in the towel and leave your fighters languishing on the battlefield? I think not. No excuses for his lame conduct, sorry.

Just think of how the armed march could be twisted.

A bunch of old ladies so worried

Bah let him be. I wont be attending cause I think its not bright to confront superior power head on but more power to those who want to try.

Good luck and to all

sovereign

My bet is this will

My bet is this will accomplish just as much as Adam's march on the white house. A thousand or two will watch it on the internet. The media will not cover it and the day after it will be forgotten (unless you read Infowars. Obama will continue to take Liberty. Congress will be as crooked as ever.

Why is everyone getting so worked up over this? Ron Paul didn't even run for president according to 3/4's of the country. Ron Paul had crowds of thousands yet the media made most believe he had a hundred when he was lucky. If the press could hide that then they certainly can hide this.

They shut down the whole 1% Wall Street thing... It was made out to be liberal kids wanting free school.... They can portray this as pot heads with guns who want legal dope! That will instantly take away the marches creditability for many. They will show a clip of Adam on the mic saying F the cops.... That will take whatever is left of the creditability.

Just one thing

"They shut down the whole 1% Wall Street thing... It was made out to be liberal kids wanting free school...."

Not for nothing, but when I was at Occupy Boston, that was pretty much the case. It was mostly upper-middle class kids from Allston and Cambridge thinking they were making a difference by gathering in front of the Fed and playing hacky sack. I did see three vets at a tent who talked about the wars, but that was about it.

The mayor gave them free food, barriers, and supplies, only for them to demand more 'free' stuff just a few days later. Ironically enough, when the city's homeless population caught on, the college kids got mad because they said the homeless were being greedy...by wanting free stuff.

Can't say for any other city, but Occupy Boston was nothing more than an eyesore.

A signature used to be here!

Kill Them? Lefties?

Lefties are a bunch of pansies. They will never attack.. EVER!! They don't have the balls. And if they did.. they would lose dramatically.

They attacked during the

They attacked during the Civil War, they attacked innocent blacks in white robes, they attacked during Ruby Ridge and Waco. They won all those.

Pansies, eh? Sounds like human exterminators to me.

All

That is caused by the left? That is because evil exists. But I understand man. I'm not scared though.

Just like the Jonestown fans

I continued to warn them of the negative consequences. And yet all I got called was a "coward" "the revolution will commence" and "Are you a CIA agent?"

God damn...

Do you actually think people don't know the consequences?

So what are you doing other than parroting disinformation for the opposition? I think that is the point. How does someone see you as an ally when you speak of liberty as a dangerous endeavor better left undone.

"We can't fight the British, they are the most powerful army the world has ever known!" - Tell us something we don't already know.

"You can't runaway. If you are caught they'll chop off your foot." - Boy you're right, I'm better off picking cotton.

"You can't sit at the lunch counter, they will run you up a tree!" - Gee really?

If the shoe fits I suppose.

Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
www.yaliberty.org - Young Americans for Liberty
www.ivaw.org/operation-recovery - Stop Deploying Traumatized Troops

Emotional.

With no clear, long term goals, this march will end in failure.

Its very different to be realistic and to be "parroting for the opposition". A revolution without rising expectation is as likely to happen as an apple to fall from an apple-less tree.

Right now, there is no feelings of oppression, nor any real calls for an armed revolution. That's because majority of the DON'T FEEL like losing the rights to some guns = a step to fascism. And a majority of the people DON'T FEEL losing guns = losing liberty.

Right now, there is a feeling of lack of governmental action, so if people wanna start a revolution with arms, I suggest a socialist one. If we are to accept government under the constitution as legitimate, I will have to say that that you cannot simply do illegal things, that asking for you to be executed by the media and the government.

The liberty movement haven't even gotten RP into the national elections, to spread his message to the majority yet...

Now march in places where guns is legal, I completely support, that is a good idea, though I dunno whether anything good will come out of it.

Needless to say, you don't need my permission to march on anywhere, but the consequences need to be seen clearly before taking such actions.

All this march is missing is a Grateful Dead concert...Puff Puff give...

Would it have

Been better if they weren't hippies. They were drunks instead? Give me a break. Marijuana is the DEVIL! RUN!!

No

It would be better if these seemingly juveniles could at least show a little tact by leaving their weed at home and smoking it in private like most people who smoke weed do instead of parading around public places looking like a bunch of rejects from the 60's...and yea, a decent haircut and a can of gunk to cut the grease would go a long way in the public eye as well...

....really?

So freedom can only be displayed in private huh?

Yes

Really ! Offended?...cry me a river....
