935 False Statements

How can you believe anything these jackasses say?

From the AP:

A study by two nonprofit journalism organizations found that President Bush and top administration officials issued hundreds of false statements about the national security threat from Iraq in the two years following the 2001 terrorist attacks.

The study concluded that the statements "were part of an orchestrated campaign that effectively galvanized public opinion and, in the process, led the nation to war under decidedly false pretenses."

Maybe the study is, stating the exact number of False Statements, but the idea that the President and his chosen inner circle told us over and over 9/11, 9/11, 9/11, war on terror, 9/11 -- as pertains to the war with Iraq -- Nothing new there.

935 Reasons Ron Paul was and is right!

With this in the media, how can anyone support McCain's view that we should stay for 100 years? We need to make sure Ron Paul is "popularly" seen as a pro-military guy----strong on defense. I know the troops know but the oild bitties sitting at home need to know that he won't let America be weak.

But we can't prosecute a sitting President. g.w. says so...

I wish I were kidding. But, unfortunately, I'm not. Have you ever heard of Stanley Hilton? He tried taking king george and his minions to court for what happened on 9/11 and the case was summarily dismissed.

How mighty convienient to have appointed the judges that rule on such things, don't you think?

substitute Neocon for Nazi

Found this on the Internet regarding the Nuremberg Tribunal:

The prosecution case, argued by Drexel Sprecher, an American, placed considerable stress on the role of media propaganda in enabling the Hitler regime to prepare and carry out aggressive wars. “The use made by the Nazi conspirators of psychological warfare is well known. Before each major aggression, with some few exceptions based on expediency, they initiated a press campaign calculated to weaken their victims and to prepare the German people psychologically for the attack.

Fritzsche describes how he received instructions on the eve of the invasion of the Soviet Union in June 1941: “Ribbentrop informed us that the war against the Soviet Union would start that same day and asked the German press to present the war against the Soviet Union as a preventative war for the defense of the Fatherland, as a war which was forced upon us through the immediate danger of an attack of the Soviet Union against Germany. The claim that this was a preventative war was later repeated by the newspapers which received their instructions from me during the usual daily parole of the Reich Press Chief.

Thus, the presentation of an illegal invasion of a foreign country as a “preventative” or pre-emptive war did not originate with Bush, Cheney or Rumsfeld.

The prosecution in the Fritzsche case raised an issue that is of the greatest relevance today: the role of Nazi media propaganda in inuring the German population to the sufferings of other peoples and, indeed, urging Germans to commit war crimes. It argued: “Fritzsche incited atrocities and encouraged a ruthless occupation policy. The results of propaganda as a weapon of the Nazi conspirators reaches into every aspect of this conspiracy, including the atrocities and ruthless exploitation in occupied countries. It is likely that many ordinary Germans would never have participated in or tolerated the atrocities committed throughout Europe, had they not been conditioned and goaded by the constant Nazi propaganda.

Good ammo

For our work in cracking the pro-Iraq-War foolishness of many close headed Republicans. We need people to wake up and see that they were sold up a river.

How much of your tax dollars have been pissed away in Iraq? How much life has been lost? How much of our future has been mortgage? We gotta be able to get these Republicans to see this.

And, no, the big government Democrats are obviously not the answer.

Paul is the ONLY answer.
