New Coca-Cola anti-Illuminati ad: "Chairs"

Is the new ‘Coca-Cola’ advertisement that is now being broadcast worldwide called “Chairs” an ‘anti-illuminati’ advertisement, or is it another direct shot in the face of a dumbed down populace and overpowered humanity?

Check out the ad; the symbolism is there, it can’t be missed. They clearly hit the nail right on the head in this one. ‘They’ are vastly outnumbered. If only we understood, we only need to ‘stand up’. They share their ’4 commitments to fight overweight and sedentary lifestyle’ in this video, yet they poison the populace daily; doesn’t this ad mean something else entirely?

This ad is alluding to

Bloomberg and the NYC soda ban. My $.02.

Advertising for consumer products is usually contracted out...

to a professional ad agency. Coca-Cola employs multiple agencies around the world. Note the British accents. This ad was clearly intended for a European audience and is not applicable to Americans as we sit on couches. The equivalent ad for the U.S. market explained how Coca-Cola will increase incidents of sexual encounter for the consumer, and the duration thereof...

Still waitng to hear.......

what people think the "objective or desired outcome" of the ad is? I posted some thoughts below.

I cried

and then prayed for Turkey and the Syrian Army.

If you throw away your tv you will blissfully

have no clue about what's happening in Turkey or Syria. Trust me, it's much nicer that way. TV beats war drums and somehow convinces people that what happens halfway across the world should be important to them. After an extended period without TV I have realized that the war of the day is just the war of the day.

Well stated.

I

Rarely ever drink soda but now if I ever do, I'll be sure to mention Coca-Cola. But then again, they could be using this just to market it.

More importantly than being anti or pro anything

it shows that corporate brands are taking notice and using this increasingly evident topic as a means to sell their products because it is in the minds of the youth which has the highest disposable income amongst consumers.

So, as much as I'd like to think this is great, it just means they're trying to sell the revolution-minded youth more of their brown poison in a coke bottle. I'd rather see an ad where they say they're using only raw sugar and Non-Gmo ingredients. That would be a step in the right direction. Using pop-culture (no pun intended) to sell products is not a new thing. I work in the ad biz so I know :)

Have you seen Pepsi throwbacks? I get 'em @ winco in SoCal ...

They are made w/ sugar as opposed to corn syrup. Mexican coke is also made w/ sugar as well. Who would ever have thought sugar would be the 'healthy' alternative ? Both of these go great w/ Rum or Whiskey IMHO.

Aaron Russo, Nikola Tesla, Ron Paul, I'm jus' sayin'

I'm looking at an empty Mexican Coke bottle on my desk right now

LOL! It tastes so much better! I don't drink it often so I don't mind paying a little bit more when I do.

No I haven't seen the Pepsi throwbacks up here in Canada but I'll keep an eye out.

Cheers!

I think the Illuminati

I think the Illuminati reference was inadvertent. Do'h.

And now it's time to Conker you.

Nah

'when your at work', 'when you are out', 'we control everything'...how many people sit on their ass when they are 'out' or at 'work'? I think the add is clever.....Sure, its marketing to sell the product but its definitely geared towards anti NWO.....regardless the case, i like the message!

"Anti-Illuminati"? You are

"Anti-Illuminati"? You are really reading into this what you want.

It's a humorous way to suggest that Coke is for active, involved people... which is absurd.

You ever get that

almost overwhelming emotion that comes surging up from your heart and brings tears to your eyes..?

Great ad.

Great ad. Also in the historical context, it'd be a pro-Illuminati ad since they directly inspired or branched into revolutionary groups.

Well

regardless of what Coca Cola is doing behind the curtain, this is one great add...I like it!

Coca cola doesn't poison

Coca cola doesn't poison anyone, people poison themselves by drinking the shit.

Please come join my forum if you're not a trendy and agree with my points of view.

This is a very good commercial...

Coca-cola has had some of the best advertising campaigns and talent throughout the years and I think it does try to capture the anti-establishment zeitgeist. Heck they are just trying to capture the mood of the world and make money..

Reminds me of the 1984 Apple commercial:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R706isyDrqI

I've only watched short clips of V for Vendetta, but wasn't one of the main ideas about how people should just stand up en masse?

The slogan is great: "What if we stand up?"
We should just take the slogan over and run with it in the liberty movement... and heck drink Coca-cola while we are at it... well maybe not with all that high fructose GMO corn syrup I guess...

more like

liberty is getting popular again and coke wants to cash in.

Are they just hijacking the meme?

Are they mocking the nature of the power of elite by chalking it up to "chairs"?

I'd put my money on this just being a REALLY good AD like Apple's 1984 commercial.

Wondering.....

How this will be interperted by most people? Will most be saying, "stand up, OK....." Wow, that was hard, made me thirsty..... Better get me a Coke.....

Others will be going, "stand up to whaaa?".....

But then again, I'm sure others will get it and will just go back to munching on their grass, but, they'll need a Coke with it.....

WOW!

Anyone who sees this and doesn't know whats really being referenced is truly hopeless. Especially since you get about a second to see a bunch of writing that mentions overweight.

But its odd, Coca-cola doesn't strike me as a 'anti-Illuminati' corporation. In fact I thought they were major backers in political races.

Lets just hope this add goes viral
