My Response To A GOP Email Today (AKA: I Am No Longer A Republican)

The republican party of Washington State emailed me today with a statement from Rand Paul advising republicans on how to proceed towards 2016.

So I replied as follows:
"I thought you guys hated Ron Paul - And yet you send me an email from his son Rand.

The GOP/RNC should be utterly ashamed of how they treated Dr. Paul (and his supporters) in both his 2008/2012 presidential campaigns.

Besides, I'm sure the GOP/RNC will not support Rand Paul for president in 2016 anyway.

Instead, they'll go for some establishment party hack like Jeb Bush.

Just know that we will never forget your treatment of Ron Paul - and us."

Needless to say I probably won't be receiving any further emails from the GOP of WA State.

And good riddance to them anyway.

They wanted us out of the party and speaking for myself, they got their wish.

I don't consider myself a republican anymore (Independent now), and I am dumping my party affiliation as well as my position as a PCO (Precinct Committee Officer).

The Republican Party is as corrupt, dirty, hypocritical and anti-Constitutional as is the Democrat Party - if not worse.

~~~JESSE VENTURA 2016!~~~
It's tempting to speak of
It's tempting to speak of "they's" and parties and organizations as culprits. Because it's easier. No name, no face; no way for one guy to make a difference.
When we find ourselves speaking in they's and about organizations, it's a warning sign. It likely means that we feel powerless and are frustrated. Rather than sorting through our frustration and dealing with the actual people who frustrated us, we make a big-they-party-group enemy. Much easier to let ourselves off the hook if we can describe the other side as a group and impenetrable by mere mortals.
It's not true, of course.
The WA GOP is hundreds of individuals, who elect a dozen or so to represent them on the state level. The RNC is thousands of individuals, who elect scores to represent them on the national level.
Let's not forget that libertarian ideology rests on acknowledging and embracing the sacrosanct power of the individual. The true test of an ideology is whether is holds up when we are confronted with those we consider enemies. Are we to toss out individualism and embrace group-think when it comes to a perceived enemy? I know...tempting. But when we find ourselves going there, it's a warning flag. It tell us we are allowing ourselves to think and behave beneath our ideology. If we have the truth, we must have the integrity to act on that truth in trying times.
Stick with it. Go the opposite way. Trust your ideology; become more involved. Be one more individual who believes in his own power.
Liberty is indeed, Rising
If ALL liberty-minded folks fell out of the traitorous gop/rnc, vote the person, not the party...
The only problem with that is that the establishment will have an easier time winning. I feel that I need to stay in the party, at least temporarily, in order to influence them toward Liberty.
"What if the American people learn the truth" - Ron Paul
I hear you Proud American...
Everyone has their own way of addressing it.
As for me, I can no longer in good conscience identify myself as a republican.
When I hear the GOP-supported, war-mongering media rats like Beck, Medved, Hannity, O'Reilly, Levin, Limbaugh, Larson, Gibson etc spweing their Arab/Muslim hate, I think "this is pretty much how this party thinks"
Sure there is the small liberty-minded faction like yourself but it is so small a percentage that I am done trying to change these idiots minds from within.
It's not like I didn't try over the last several years.
So I now call myself an Independent.
"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."
email sent :-)
"What if the American people learn the truth" - Ron Paul
By the way - the GOP fully supports billions in foreign aid...
...while bridges and building fall down right here at home.
It's beyond belief.
