I see all the big government

I see all the big government people are voting me down.... interesting...

If you disagree with me on anything you are not a real libertarian...

Tax isn't going to just go

away when you wake up one morning. I feel the same way, I don't want any tax. However, we need to get rid of the most powerful gov't agency in America right now, the IRS. A flat tax could do this.

So explain the flax tax to

So explain the flax tax to me? WHo is going to collect it? How is it different form what is being paid now? In fact, the Government will get even more money. and they will just increase it from 17% to 40% soon..

If you disagree with me on anything you are not a real libertarian...

I doubt I can convince

you on it' merit solely. In short I look at it from the angle of secessions for the future. Put the States in charge of collecting the flat tax, imo, opens the door for States fund and defend their own secession.

A bit anarchistic I suppose, but I prefer to think of it as Minarchist planning.

The responsibility goes back

The responsibility goes back to our elected officials. We can hold them accountable. We cannot hold the IRS accountable.

Can't Hold The IRS Accountable??

I did.

Why don't you school us all?

Why don't you school us all?

You didn't answer my

You didn't answer my question.

First, explain the flax tax to me? Who is going to collect it? How is it different from what is being paid now? You can actually live now pay no taxes with a small business. So how is 17% better?

GO RAND!!!

I love him.

This was going well until the part about wanting a 17% flat tax.

Hmmm. That 17% amount is what most taxpayers are forced to pay now.

But a flat tax will get rid

But a flat tax will get rid of the need for the IRS.

And then what? Who is going

And then what? Who is going to collect the money for the Government?

If you disagree with me on anything you are not a real libertarian...

Treasury --same place inc. tx goes after

IRS reviews returns/ audits/ harasses/collects taxes/fines/fees -- it all goes to Treasury.

Question...who collected

Question...who collected taxes before the IRS?

There were no income taxes

There were no income taxes before the IRS. And virtually no taxes.

You too are lapsing back to the Ron Paul epoch.

The new strategy is now in vogue. The 99-0 Senate votes of going to war if Israel attacks one or more of its neighbors and flat taxes of 17%. Where have you been, Brian? Apparently, you having living in the past. We both must be stuck in the same Ron Paul rut.

Must be. I need to get up to

Must be. I need to get up to date really quick and jump on board with the status quo.

If you disagree with me on anything you are not a real libertarian...

well, the problem is

if he went out there talking zero taxes he would never be taken seriously and would seriously jeopardize his chance at becoming POTUS.
Baby steps people. It took a long time to get us here so it will take a long time to get us where we want to be ! Even longer if we cant get Liberty minded people in to power....

I had a momentary lapse back to the Ron Paul epoch. Sorry.

I forgot about the new strategy of hidden agendas and all of that. Ron Paul was a failure. Rand Paul is the new way. O.K., I am back up to speed again. Thanks for the reminder.

LOL

sarcastic much?;) I wouldn't call it hidden agenda. More like a realistic agenda for the present times. I don't think RP was a failure either. Best politician in my lifetime for sure! The people just aren't ready for that drastic of a change yet. I see the people as frogs in boiling water. It worked for the opposition, it can work for us if we give it time without getting frustrated...get them in the pot and 'slowly' crank the heat up...it definitely works, its a proven strategy...look where we are now...

The blonde chick is annoying.

Her attempt to play devil's advocate and defend the president and constantly reading her lying script that the "polls say Americans like Obama" etc. is simply shameful. What a presstitute!

Why isn't she asking questions which show her outrage at what the president is doing? Murder gate! That's not worthy of her screaming about.

What about the White House spying on journalists! She shouldn't be defending this communist president and spinning it like he's doing fine in the polls, but instead reporting the damn truth.
