The Sucrime Court

Unfortunately, The Sucrime Court thinks that the counting of uncounted votes should be halted if doing so might keep a Fascist out of the White House, and also thinks that Multinational Corporations are "individuals" and possess the rights to distort our Elections with bundled-Bribery.

The Sucrime Court also thinks that Human Torture is just fine, and that all War Crimes are to be applauded, and that we should never sue Monsanto for the posioning of our food.

This Court system will never provide justice....

Maybe he should write a stern letter to his congressman...

will be easier and still get the same results.

Awesome, thank you Rand!!

Standing, National Security, Next Case!

I suspect this will be as effective in the courts as Ron Paul's lawsuit over the Obama violating the War Powers Act with his decision to invade Libya, and as effective as EFF's lawsuit over warrantless wiretapping in the NSA room at the AT&T building:

Standing
National Security
Retroactive Immunity

The issue of standing is particularly problematic. At least the Congress members could claim in the Libya lawsuit that their persomal Constitutional authority to declare war was usurped (and yet the courts did not agree). To show standing over wiretapping, Rand Paul would have to demonstrate specifically how he was personally harmed by a particular wiretapping incident.

The remedy for gross disregard of the Constitution or federal laws is impeachment. But impeaching Obama would sully Bush's name since the warrantless wiretapping was expanded by Bush (started by Clinton or earlier). And Rand Paul won't willingly take that kind of political hit.

We need to find someone who

We need to find someone who has been tangibly harmed by NSA spying. Which will be difficult given that it is ILLEGAL to let anyone know that they were ordered to turn over documents on them. How nice that works out for the government.

These people really are

These people really are beginning to act more and more like children. This is like where a child is playing a game and starts making up rules because it helps them win while saying no, you cant look at the rule book but its in there.

To climb the mountain, you must believe you can.

I agree.

Be a nice person and ignore the government. Take care of your family and community.

Some trivia: Atari 2600 Chess would cheat

It was "unbeatable" but not because it was smarter; it moved pieces around at random if it got into checkmate.

This happened to me once, but it was before the days of easily-accessible cameras so I didn't save a screen shot.

I love you. I'm sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you.

Rand is stepping up the rhetoric

Emphasis mine:

"My suspicion is, and a lot of this is classified so the other side gets to promote their case and we don't get the information, but my suspicion is, is that this gentleman was targeted because they suspected him for being a terrorist. I have no problem if you have probable cause and you target people who are terrorists and you go after them, and people that they're communicating with -- you get another warrant, but we're talking about trolling through billions of phone records."

When government criminals classify documents that show their wrong-doing, they are committing yet another crime -- the hiding of evidence.

In order to bring government criminals to justice, we're going to need to declassify everything.

Ending was abrupt but well said: "I think we'll put an end to this."

I love you. I'm sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you.

Rand Paul and Glen Greenwald

teaming up? Hmmmm. Very good politics for Rand as he will find lots of support. Sign me up!

Sign Me Up For The Lawsuit

By the time Greenwald's done, I want to see Obama impeached and convicted, and the stage set for the Republicans to make small government and civil liberties their issues for 2014 and 2016.

Good Guardian link to keep

Thanks for that link Velveeta.

Appreciated.

We must first plead with the

We must first plead with the King to make the case more and more apparent to the masses and to make every effort to avoid a war while clearly framing the arguments and identifying the enemies of liberty. Rand's is a good step.

This argument is beginning to replay in our own history: We must all consider the characters in this scene and the wisdom and folly of Benjamin Martin's early thoughts on the subject.

Good interview

Glad he brought up SOPA and PIPA.

There seems to be a 90% chance the SC will agree with Obama.

Our system is so corrupt at this point.

Thanks for posting this important interview.

+1

"Obamacare is Constitutionally valid because it is a tax" opinion comes to mind. How soon (even here) people forget.

Evidently because it was

Evidently because it was defined as a tax the eventual court challenges to it's constitutionality (once it has been fully implemented) will be on a better footing. I'm not a constitutional scholar, so if someone knows better, opinion please.

I don't buy it....

Rule that it is legal now so it can be ruled illegal later? Convoluted twisted logic.

Oh, I'm not so sure. Rand

Oh, I'm not so sure. Rand spearheading this is good for keeping this issue front and center and there is the side benefit of keeping him in front of America, crusading for the Constitution. I'd wager the majority of Americans only reacted to the spying issue because they don't like the idea of people seeing what they've been texting in secret. Even if it's only a mild outrage from the public, I'll take it.
