PRISM & NSA Whistleblower Revealed: Edward Snowden, to Prevent a Turnkey Tyranny

The individual responsible for one of the most significant leaks in US political history is Edward Snowden, a 29-year-old former technical assistant for the CIA and current employee of the defence contractor Booz Allen Hamilton. Snowden has been working at the National Security Agency for the last four years as an employee of various outside contractors, including Booz Allen and Dell.

The Guardian, after several days of interviews, is revealing his identity at his request. From the moment he decided to disclose numerous top-secret documents to the public, he was determined not to opt for the protection of anonymity. "I have no intention of hiding who I am because I know I have done nothing wrong," he said.

Snowden will go down in history as one of America's most consequential whistleblowers, alongside Daniel Ellsberg and Bradley Manning. He is responsible for handing over material from one of the world's most secretive organisations – the NSA.

Edward Snowden is a hero!

He is a patriot of the highest regard.

When a nation of people lose faith in their appointed representatives they MUST, they are OBLIGATED, to break tyranny in any way.

These media whores, these presstitutes, these worthless politicians that say he should have gone the "legal" way are baseless fools selling the downfall of America. DO NOT trust them!

Daniel Ellsberg says the great service he has done to his country is, "incalculable". He also states that he has waited 40 years to see an American with this type of courage. Battle field courage, he called it. He also supports Bradley Manning.

Release the hounds. The tyranny that has been America is failing and falling fast.

Stand ready, patriots. Stand ready to throw ALL of these bums out, without prejudice.

Anything in the MSM

about this yet?

the disparity in news companies

the disparity in news companies

fox is basically calling him a hero while cnn is saying he is the greatest threat this country has ever faced and nbc is airing documentaries about penguins

Tools of war are not always obvious. The worst weapon is an idea planted in the mind of man. Prejudices can kill, suspicion can destroy, and a thoughtless, frightened search for a scapegoat has an everlasting fallout all of its own.

I think of what Edward

I think of what Edward Snowden did as the highest order of vengeance and revenge for what they did to Aaron Hillel Swartz (November 8, 1986 – January 11, 2013). Both heroes of the century.

IF you see anyone post the CNN article about this

make SURE you post the link to the interview right under it. The article does its best to make him seem like a criminal worth prosecuting with the full force of the US intelligence army.

This appears to be an attempt to condition the public into thinking that whistleblowers are criminals. Gotta let the sheeple hear the words for themselves!

"It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people's minds"

A Thousand Thank You's to Edward Snowden

For waking up the sheep on this issue. We warned them long ago the but the sirens fell on deaf ears.

I am officially going on record as deciding what I want;

I'd rather have a couple of percentage points less safety.

He predicts the government

He predicts the government will launch an investigation and "say I have broken the Espionage Act and helped our enemies, but that can be used against anyone who points out how massive and invasive the system has become".

The slippery slope has already been slipped on...and this is what it leads to: tyranny.

Never be afraid to ask simple questions.

did that post get scrubbed ..? it keeps coming and going ..

I hope every American gets

I hope every American gets off their butt and shuts the country down if need be to defend this guy.

PS Record this... NSA is a bunch of criminals and need to be hung for treason against the US Constitution.

How many medals should Snowden receive for this act of valor?

He should get however many medals there are that can be given. Bravo!

Up there with Nathan Hale

Perhaps one day our kids will go to
Edward Snowden Elementary
Bradley Manning High

and kids will learn about how standing up to tyranny and evil doers is a noble and right thing to do.

I bet kids don't learn Paul's Revere Ride anymore - I remember us all having to memorize the first 2-3 stanzas in the fifth grade. Now it's probably considered terror training.

God bless him

The name of the hero who revealed some of the police state's worst surveillance crimes is Edward Snowden, as reported with his consent by Glenn Greenwald, Ewen MacAskill, and Laura Poitras. May others have his courage, and that of Bradley Manning, to tell Americans and the world the truth about the empire's boot on their throats, and probe in their brains.

Turnkey Tyranny-- How 'bout them apples!

Wise man. That nails what's wrong. It's not Tyranny, or (I love this one)Soft Tyranny...It's Turnkey Tyranny.

This is it people

This is our last chance to turn this thing around [peacefully]. If the sheeple go back to sleep after this, then we will have a real fight on our hands later... if we have the sand for it.

Heroic doesn't begin to

Heroic doesn't begin to describe the actions of this young man.

I must be willing to give up what I am in order to become what I will be. Albert Einstein

I found it appaling that the scumbag in the White House,

instead of backing off his Hitleresque spying, decided to open a probe into the "leaks".

This young man, Edward Snowden, has 10 times the moral fiber that Obama has. The sad truth is that Obama, who deserves to be in prison, will retire in luxury while Snowden spends his time in a government cage. This is an upside down world.

"Bend over and grab your ankles" should be etched in stone at the entrance to every government building and every government office.

10 times the moral fiber of

10 times the moral fiber of Obama? I don't think so--there is no multiple of zero.

We should cast statues

of these heros (Bradley and Ron, as well) and place them at the Mall in front of the Capitol Building.

China is the only country

China is the only country left who could give the U.S. an ass kicking militarily and financially.

his interview..

without knowing any much about him I feel like "I gotcha" moment.its sad really because I am naive enough to see some small need for this deep fishing they do but then I am so conflicted.. I should just leave it alone for smarter folks to explore.. My best friends are md's.1 surgery and 1 general practice..they feel safer and they discount the impact upon the founders documents .I know folks who did this work..its gotten out of hand ..its as if the nukes are here and they are desperate to find them..blackmail.I think Rand is pushing the thing and it could lead to more invasive jive ..there will be no retreat from this for real threats do exist and I think our presence all about the globe just complicates it..the passion of the average person is stifled beaten down..its a moment in need of a visionary ..not a religious type..!!!! but another to awaken the street.

I'm speechless to his heroism.

We have got to help this guy!

turnkey tyranny

What I noticed is that this guy said many of the same things Bradley Manning said.

Basically he had access to all this information so he knew that these were not isolated incidents. He had the big picture in front of him on a daily basis. His conclusion was the same as Bradley Manning's that the public should be making these decisions, so they gave us this information. NOW WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO WITH THIS INFORMATION? His greatest fear is that nothing will change which means escalation with each new leader. That is my fear as well.

Both he and Bradley knew the consequences of their actions and they did it anyway. Thank you Edward Snowden is all I can say.

"His greatest fear is that
