It Could Happen: President Paul

They are scared. Here is what they are saying about Rand Paul:

(Best Part is the comment section where they mention the Daily Paul).

"The Republicans are already campaigning, trying to cripple Hillary before she even starts.  She could be vulnerable on these privacy issues.  Rand Paul is the most dangerous candidate they could run against us, because he's the only one I could imagine breaking up the coalition that Obama put together.  We have underestimated this guy before in 2010 and he has only gotten more attention since then.  I believe we need to move in two directions:"

It's going to be the best fight ever!

This is what will wake Americans up!

all both sides care about is winning

winning for the sake of winning. Nobody cares about the actual issues that plague us.

I wonder what those Daily Kos guys think they won with Obama?

The democrats think they are intelligent?

from one of the comments there:

"We'll see who gets nominated and then we'll find our reasons to support him or her"

Is that how they decide? Hmmmm... Strange compass.

As far as Hilary "What difference does it make?" Clinton, she's a non-starter. She has ZERO credibility. I think the Dem's will have to look awful hard to find reasons to support her. She is a female. That's about all I can say. Maybe they can convince themselves that simply being a female is enough, the theory worked once. ;)

Just open the box and see

There's a meme on facebook

There's a meme on facebook with her standing behind Obama and Bill. It says something like Hillary's Legacy is standing silently in support of a lying president". Wish I could post it there & here.

Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. - Matthew 10:16

I was going to comment there, but I had to laugh it off.

They are FRIGHTENED. The simple-minded "insults" and their feeble "excuses" to placate and reassure themselves "it'll all be fine, it'll all be fine, it'll all be fine." Priceless.

Gilligan's picture

I can't wait for 2016 ...

... it really CAN happen!

Google is government.

Talk about, already campaigning & trying to cripple

Go to any Yahoo article about Rand or Ted & check out the comment section. Obvious, massive crude attacks trying to discredit these two. I'm sure it's Hitlery & the lib weenies.
Check it out.

The same thing for Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, but that must be the Pentagon boiler room trying to protect the FBI for mucking up the Boston debacle.

Dailykos = brainwashed tools. And I used to be one of them.

Before I discovered Ron Paul and subsequently the liberty movement, I would wake up every morning reading the dailykos. I can tell you from experience that they are about as brainwashed as anyone you will meet. I'll never forget the way they treated Ron Paul supporters during the 2008 election. I thought we could be allies on the issues that matter most like foreign policy and civil liberties, much in the way Glen Greenwald has become. But all they care about is getting more Democrats elected. It is really just that simple, and don't you dare question them because the dems are the good guys, and the republicans are all the enemy. Yes, it really is that black and white in the land of dailykos. Seeing their comments now shows me they have learned nothing since I left. Rand Paul is the one that scares them after all the scandals this past month?!? Crazy, right? Nope. Just another day at the dailykos.

We got a mention

in the comments...

"Rand's positions on most everythling are softer than Ron's. (My in-laws are both hard-core Paulites, both Ron and Rand. I hear about them constantly. Did you know there's even a site called the Daily Paul?)"

That must make for some interesting family gatherings!

Makes you wonder who the in-laws are LOL

I think that there

is much more to learn about Benghazi, and Hitlery's fingerprints are all over it. I think Hitlery will be political toast by the time 2016 comes around.

or, she will be

POTUS

I don't think that Sec. Clinton will even be the Dem nominee

When was the last time that the Democrats chose a 68 year old who has been around forever as their nominee for President? Republicans do that; Democrats choose a "fresh face" in his 40's or 50's. Clinton will seek the nomination, but, because of her age, the "retread" factor, and Benghazi, she will be less attractive than in 2008 (when she would have won, if there was ever a time when she would win).

Don't get me wrong... I would love to have Sec. Clinton as the opposition for Sen. Paul, for two reasons:

1. They would be starkly different on the issues, which would give American voters a clear choice for the first time since, at least, 1984 (whereas a young, fresh Democrat without any connection to the Obama Administration would mimic Sen. Paul's stands on war, due process, drugs, etc., blunting the contrast).

2. In addition to her own baggage, Sec. Clinton (because she was President Obama's Secretary of State) will be stuck with Obama's baggage as well. Iraq: Clinton for, Paul against; Libya: Clinton for, Paul against (and Benghazi will keep Libya in the spotlight); Obamacare: Clinton for, Paul against; Nationwide dragnet searches: Clinton for, Paul against; Wall Street bailouts: Clinton for, Paul against... the list goes on and on, but the point is that the matchup would leave Clinton defenseless on issue after issue. Young people, especially, would surge into the Paul column.

If Sec. Clinton is the opponent, and if the "small-government" third parties (Libertarian and Constitution) agree to cross-nominate Sen. Paul (so as not to draw off votes), then, unless the economy is doing significantly better, I predict that Paul wins by a 5-10 point popular vote margin and takes 35-40 states. I really don't think that it would be close.

I personally think that

it is entirely possible that events may preclude the necessity of a nomination....

I don't understand you, dear sister...

... please explain.

If things go rapidly down hill, and Obama either

declares Martial Law by Executive Order, OR by convincing Congress, the game is essentially over. Now of course Oathkeepers in that case would be placed in a precarious position, especially those who are but have not declared themselves such. Then we could end up with a military coup, or any number of things. The Powers that Be seem to like to keep a facade of free elections and regard for the rule of law here, however. So this is a 'worst case scenario'. The current mode of operation is to continue to whack at the Bill of Rights and Constitution bit-by-bit in the name of 'Safety and Security', as well as infiltrating both parties to ensure that a 'safety and security' supporter always wins, by legitimate or illegitimate means, over a 'Liberty Lover.'

Obamacare will become Obamascare by 2016

When everyone sees all of Obamacare there will be no place to hid from the truth any longer. Even the DEMs will be begging for relief from this oppressive law.

I was a hardcore Rand supporter until he voted in favour of Monsatan's GMO's. I'll probably vote for him but will give no financial support like I gave his dad. I am sure they will call me to carry my township, but now will consider staying home in 2016 caucus. Rand may have lost 3 caucus votes here.

Todays brainwashing: GMO's are safe

Vote YES on NO!!!

The bill was a scam.
Paul and others saw right through it.

This bill would have given Monsanto and others permission to put it on the label.
Which would snowball the legitimization of GMO as a recognized, approved food product.
If not instantly.

We can't have any of that now can we? :-)

compulsive correction

Please don't call it "Obamacare". It's proper name should display its lineage: Federalized Romneycare. This name puts Demoblicans and Repucrats alike on notice that we know they are simply two boots of the same monster.

You make an excellent point about Obamacare, beeman...

... one that these overconfident Daily Kos Democrats are failing to consider.

Concerning Sen. Paul, please ponder, over the next two years (until the 2016 Primary season starts in earnest), whether the GMO issue rises to the level of a "litmus test." We each have to be true to conscience (for example, abortion is a "litmus test" issue for me), but please be mindful of the overall picture. Thanks.

Love this comment:

"He is running though, make no mistake. He has already taken his obligatory trip to Israel."

That is funny, sad and true all at the same time.

"Haj", please

American politicians don't visit Israel.
Tourists visit.
Devotees haj.
A haj is a pilgrimage to a sacred site to curry favor with a higher power, in this case, American mainstream marxo-zionists.

Reading the "Comments" section of the cited article...

... reaffirms why Rand Paul is so politically dangerous to these "progressive," "enlightened" Democrats. Most of them cannot break out of the tired Left vs. Right, D vs. R rut that they are in. Sen. Paul could carry the "Under 30" vote in the 2016 general and win going away, and the Democrats won't even know what hit them.

Their problem is that they are too optimistic, in that they have convinced themselves that there is no way that their 2016 Presidential nominee can lose.

Our problem is that we are too pessimistic, in that many of us have convinced ourselves that there is no way that Sen. Paul can win the 2016 GOP Presidential nomination (so, why even try).

They, and we, are both wrong.

A Constitutional, Christian conservative who voted for Ron and stands with Rand

I agree, we are too pessimistic! (Just call me Puddleglum ....)

at least I have been, this week. If it were just a matter of 'who has got the best chance of being nominated' my pessimism might know no bounds after seeing the last three nominations, for both parties, be given to the person who least represents the best of the party. Not to mention the man-made GOP Tampa disaster of 2012, that undermined the rights of the states to choose their electors. There is a way he could win, but it would require an honest nominating process, and the prevention of theft of delegates, from both the caucus states and the primary states.
