I think Cavuto wanted him to say that, if we just deregulated and let the free market prevail, the market would recover. That way, when the crash happens before the stimulus, we could all marvel at how the stimulus was absolutely required to stabilize the market and how free, deregulated markets are just too dangerous. It seemed to me Ron Paul disappointed Cavuto by not taking the bait and saying, instead, that this correction was only temporary and that the market still had a ways to go down. Anyone agree with my analysis? I think Dr. Paul has to be very careful of setups, because anytime Fox has him on, you can just about assume that's what they're doing. Nice job, Ron, AGAIN!

far be it for me to question the master, but I would have preferred if RP would have taken a more positive tone on the markets. nobody likes a buzz kill.

RP could have said something like this: "Well, the markets are probably going to rally, we just had a .75% rate cut. This could have been a delayed reaction and we dont know what was going on behind the scenes. It is likely that the markets continue to go up. But, the question is what are we doing to the dollar that will make the markets rise? The Dow could go to 20,000 but if the dollar is only worth .50 cents of today's dollar by the time the Dow hits 20,000...then what does it really matter that the marekt is doing well?"

then he could have brought it all back to the evil fed and a depreciating dollar.

JMHO...but RP is fantastic as alway.

Cavuto made a point multiple times before the interview suggesting what he wanted, or thought, Dr. Paul would say. Throughout the interview Cavuto looked more and more dissapointed and his voice even seemed to change pitch a bit.

As always, Dr. P owned this interview.

i think it was a set-up also. alot of people are excited about the stimulous package, and the interest rates dropping. fox has ron paul on tv talking against them. i think the brainwashed idiots that watch fox are gunna disagree with ron paul.
