Now is the Time to Build Coalitions because "Freedom Brings People Together."

How many times have we heard Ron Paul say it? "Freedom is popular. Freedom brings people together."

Now is the time to come together. To take back our Constitution, we are going to need a massive coalition of Americans. We may have to work with people who have opinions on certain issues that we find inexplicable, or bizarre, or stupid or just plain wrong. But if we agree with them on the Constitution, and the fundamental principles on which the country was founded, we must figure out how to work together. Someone you agree with 60% of the time can still be a potential ally.

I know, it's only human to want to scream at the newly-awakened, "WE TOLD YOU SO!" But now is not the time. Now is the time to find common ground with people "we" might have thought of as "them."

The IRS targeting and domestic spying are something that affects ALL of us. I've had conversations with people I have always thought of as "them," and I'm stunned to discover that we agree 100% that the federal government no longer answers to "We The People."

In their arrogance, the establishment elites have handed us a golden opportunity. We must not squander it with infighting and name-calling. And we must not allow trolls, eeyores and paid operatives to create conflict in our ranks.

How do you spot trolls, eeyores and paid operatives? Often, by how their comments make you feel. They are the micro-terrorists of the Internet because their goal it to make you feel afraid, alone, and impotent. Their goal is to stop you from taking action, by either disheartening you, disinforming you, disarming you or getting you into pointless arguments with them that waste your time.

In the words of Ben Franklin, at the signing of the Declaration of Independence, July 4, 1776:

"We must all hang together, or assuredly we shall all hang separately."
