Michael Nystrom, Still Clueless After All These Years

Nystrom has no idea what a priceless space the DP is for people.

Especially at a time like this when people are just bursting with questions... web finds...and other news items that are not covered.

But this is also a special place of a quality of fellowship.

No pretense. I don't have to be cool or adept at blogging.

And this page -- even though it struggles to hit 200 now a days -- gets forwarded all over the world.

Hey Michael, I wonder if Edward Snowden ever came to the Daily Paul and wrestled with the issues of Liberty?

Maybe more importantly, I wonder how many more Edward Snowdens will be born or educated in this fine place you've created.

**Everything said about Nystrom is a ditto for all the self-less mods who babysit and rock this cradle of liberty.

after a few days or a week or two of . . .

not being able to face the "news" (DP is my source, mostly)--

I come back to get depressed again, and I realize how many 'kindred spirits' there are on here.

Thanks, Michael!

it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--

the DP/RPF are my new versions of the bs filter for fox,cnn and msnbc. dp/rpf have become my media.

Ron Paul 2016

Michael P*ssed Me Off Big Time

a few months back, and he acts like a self-appointed dictator...HOWEVER, the Daily Paul does seem to be evolving into a serious hub of information. I swore up and down never to contribute content to this site again...HOWEVER, I just can't resist the urge as I truly do feel privileged to be a part of the DP community. So Michael, you have created something great here, and although I won't join the rest of the slobbering masses here attempting to make you into a god-like entity, I will give credit where credit is due. I wish the DP many more years of growth and continuing exposure. Now, I should get back to writing that article outlining all the great things about Rand Paul...LOL

~My therapist told me the way to achieve true inner peace is to finish what I start. So far I’ve finished two bags of M&Ms and a box of Junior Mints. I feel better already.

The DP is my safe ground

The one consistent point from which to navigate the stormy seas of global media

I am happy to be here.

This is my second web forum.

My first was www.biodiesel.infopop.cc

I am happy for this forum for the ability to talk about things that matter honestly with humor sometimes but always for good cause.

I will be here until the last day.

It is what it is and it ain't what it ain't. Also there's pandas.

That is the funniest backhanded compliment headline I've seen on the DP.

I laughed out loud at this comment! Thanks for everything you do, Michael. The Daily Paul is truly the definition of citizen journalism. You have empowered us all to be correspondents in the war against the political establishment and the mainstream media. Thanks to folks like you, we are winning that war!

Thanks BT.

Thanks Michael and Mods.

It may be time for another fundraiser for DP.

Not clueless at all.

Michael and the mods bump the rudder of this Liberty ship once in awhile to keep it on course. The course that Dr Paul as set as an example . Kindness, modesty and steadfastness to principle.... We all stray occasionally tho!! Stay focused folks ..we are the RP r3volution ..lets act like it

I wish

There was less rudeness. But hey, people are not nice! That's the reality. I check the Daily Paul every day. It's too important not to.

tasmlab's picture

This is a pretty friendly discussion board

Most of the internet are full of people totally rude, not curious, who exist to shout their opinions and shut down conversations.

Daily Paul is an order of magnitude friendlier and open IMO. There's a few friction creators, but most I find open and curious.

Peace!

Seconded

I try to call it out (see commenting history) but sometimes I get downvoted and argued with. That's okay, I try to help maintain a civil atmosphere.

Sure wish Michael would address Fishyculture's treatment, though. I miss her.

I love you. I'm sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you.

What is

What is this fishyculture treatment you speak of? Did she get the boot for being rude?

TwelveOhOne's picture

It's tough to recall all the details

because some of them have been 403-ed. But from what I understand, she had posted a link to an article which included a medical professional's opinion that having two legs severed (above or below the knee) would result in sufficient blood loss to have killed the gentleman in the wheelchair pictures.

She and Jon exchanged several comments, many of which are no longer accessible.

She had her posting and commenting privileges revoked; when Michael returned her commenting privileges were restored, but not her posting.

My interest in this is financial: I have suspended my support of this site because of this. I do not want this suspension to be permanent, but Michael has so far not responded to any of the questions I have posed in comments to his posts.

I have not yet asked him directly. I had hoped he would be prepared to discuss the issue in public, since the issue happened in public.

I love you. I'm sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you.

I never

I never saw those pictures, not interested to. I assume you're referring to the Boston bombing. I can't for the life of me imagine why that would get someone banned?!? That just doesn't sound like DP to me. Thanks for the info.

TwelveOhOne's picture

I agree

This doesn't sound like DP to me, either. That's why I stopped my monthly contribution. It's still my first source of news, but I have reservations about management. I'll contribute again, I'm sure, once it's addressed.

I love you. I'm sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you.

I click on it every day!

Except for vacations or EXTREMELY busy times at work, I click on this every day.

I wonder if the NSA has it in their data base how many times I have clicked on here! lol

While the quality of posts isn't always consistent

I return to this site routinely. Depending on how hot the news cycle is, this site is a fantastic resource for perspectives that are not covered anywhere else. Once the next presidential election approaches, this site will become my hub for presidential primary news and info. I know that much of the future success of this site will depend on if Rand Paul runs for president, but I anticipate that he will, and this site will be rocking once again.

Well Said

Michael:

The quality of discussion, and growth in understanding reflected in these posts, is a consequence of your character and open mind.

Thank you.

haha

cool post. :-)

It's the best.

Plain and simple, there is nothing else like it. My life changed from the RP R3VOLution and the DP.

I visit this site every day

I fine it to be a great source of news and the issues that are important to me. It is an amazing place and I am thankful to Michael Nystrom for this site and the education that I have gained here.
