That depends. Was the bus system a public or private entity?

If it were owned by the city, the ordinance requiring minorities to "sit in the back" was a violation of the 14th Amendment.

In any event, I don't take much personal stock in obeying unjust laws.

Own President broke his own laws, yet he is still in charge.

Officers at Auschwitz

Followed the law.

...broke the law

Peter Schiff's father, Irwin Schiff, broke the law.

yea..but that was a long time ago.

The worst thing Rosa had to fear was a ticket, a night in jail...or getting asked to get off the bus.

Today Rosa would be labeled a domestic terrorist and all of her phone conversations would be monitored and her mail opened and read...she might even be tased and beaten. Maybe she would be sent to Gitmo and waterboarded. She would definately be audited by "you know who".

Much different country today than it was back then.

Forgive US, Lord

We know not what we do.

In the land of the blind, the one-eyed Jack is King.

Great thinking!

We need MORE of these practical come backs/comments to help us spread the message of liberty to a very indoctrinated population that is continuily plowed by our enemies the state & the MSM.

Everyone needs to post items like this as they pop into their minds.

This is an interesting thought

Good thinking.

Abraham Lincoln USED the law...

..when he litigated on behalf of ostensible "owners" for the return of their fleeing "property" under the auspices of the Fugitive Slave Act.

Corrie ten Boom broke the law.
Nathan Hale broke the law.
