If you are not involved in the Republican primaries your whining is meaningless.

You can cry neo-con all day long but unless you are registered as a republican and are in the trenches during the primaries and caucuses trying to get liberty candidates in power then you are as bad as those people who complain about the president but don't even vote.

Had to bring this up since the neo-cons are making another big push. If you have been involved locally you will probably see that we are making a difference in the GOP and we can continue to expand our influence over these neo-con warmongering scumbags. If you aren't then I hope you are doing something super creative as I don't see how you can think you are helping liberty ranting all day to the choir about how bad these interventionists are.

Even if you don't want to do it for Rand Paul...

Do it for your local Ron Paul supporter who just wants to be on City Council or something.

Everyone who says we can't

Everyone who says we can't win so just go home: please explain how Ron Paul got elected 12 times.

not everyone has the ability to physically and directly help for different personal reasons but i am sure they support and appreciate those who participate in the political arena.

Few things in life are simple dichotomies. Most people think in terms of false dichotomies. There does, however, seem to be one simple dichotomy: You have the choice between self-government or tyranny.

As long as you're looking to have things "swing our way" in the next election, then you've chosen tyranny, and your whining is meaningless.

Why not choose self-government and quit whining?

I think you may be right...

And I may be only half right. Of course I am 100% a voluntaryist yet I definitely want to be a part of the Ron Paul Republican movement that has pretty much occupied 50% of my life for the past decade.

If you think that

the republicon party is the solution to any of our problems, then you are dumber than a football bat.

Forget political parties...they are rotten to the core.

thanks for the lecture

I will stop all complaining immediately and run to the nearest Republican meeting ASAP!

Everybody Has A Role To Play.

Be on committees. Do not make it easy for the corrupt.

Attend meetings. Educate and influence those who have positions.

Boots on the ground. Support Liberty people, and do the grunt work that few will actually do.

Make discussions popular around the table. Most are not aware or do not engage in their communities.

Write articles and publish them in local papers. YOU have a voice, so exorcise your 1st Amendment Right and let yourself be heard.

Live your life in Liberty, to set an example for friends, neighbors and relatives.

Contribute to #LibertyIsRising We have complained long enough. This will be our MSM, not only for America, but for the rest of the world.

It takes a seat, but also more than a seat. It takes each and every one of us to change the hearts and minds of We The People, and to honor and respect the Bill of Rights.

"What if the American people learn the truth" - Ron Paul

Great Advice, but choose the battles that you can win.

I have been advocating that if you are in a R state (OK, UT, WY, KY, TX, TN...) or even a neutral state (IA, FL, NC, VA...) you should make the effort to take over the GOP. However, in the strong D states (VT, RI, NY, NM, IL, HI, DE, CT, CA...) you are wasting your effort which could be put into your strong state party being taken over by liberty people.

Regardless of which path, R or D you choose, your influence will not be very effective unless you are willing to walk out and vote in the final election for liberty candidates (not McCain or Romney) but rather Libertarian or Constitutional candidates.

You are fooling yourself if you still believe their is a...

political solution to this.

From Wikipedia:

"Robert Alphonso Taft (September 8, 1889 — July 31, 1953) was an American politician, conservative statesman and presidential hopeful who served as a Republican Senator from Ohio from 1939 until his death in 1953. A member of the Taft political family, he was the eldest son of William Howard Taft, the 27th President of the United States and tenth Chief Justice of the United States.

As the leading opponent of the New Deal in the Senate, Taft led the successful effort by the conservative coalition to curb the power of labor unions, and was a major proponent of the foreign policy of non-interventionism. However, he failed in his quest to win the presidential nomination of the Republican Party in 1940, 1948 and 1952. From 1940 to 1952 he battled New York Governor Thomas E. Dewey, the leader of the GOP's moderate "Eastern Establishment" for control of the Republican Party. His chief biographer is James T. Patterson, who portrays Taft as honest, conscientious, courageous, dignified and highly intelligent, but faults his competitiveness and extreme partisanship.[1] In 1957, a Senate committee named Taft as one of the five greatest senators in American history, along with Henry Clay, Daniel Webster, John C. Calhoun, and Robert La Follette.[2]"

Sound like someone we know who just ran for POTUS? Taft was a libertarian conservative, at a time when libertarian conservatives had parity with statist progressives in the GOP. Yet, he repeatedly failed to win the GOP nomination due to fraud and manipulation by the banksters.

"Every Republican candidate for President since 1936 has been nominated by the Chase National Bank." Senator Robert Taft

Yes, that was a different US then; they didn't have The Patriot Act, Military Commission Act, FISA and the NDA. The National Security State did not have the technology to "peep into everyone's bedroom."

Since it appears, in the next three months, we are likely to have 1)a stock market crash 2)widespread martial law 3) a thermonuclear war 4) a national rebellion or 5) all or most of the above, I feel your time would be better spent preparing yourself for the worst. Given the apparent lack of interest in armed marches on the 50 state capitols, the other four probabilities are much more likely.

+1 Absolutely.

The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself.

Oh brother

"If you're not doing what I'm doing, then you're not doing anything useful!"

Please. Can we raise the level of the dialogue here, please?

Everyone do what you want. Do what you're good at.

Politicians are a reflection of society. Change society and the politicians will reflect that shift. There are many, many, many ways to effect a cultural shift. Working within the GOP is one valid way, but it is not the only way.

Like Ron Paul said: "Do what you want." That is the essence of freedom.

We have enough people telling us what to do in life, we don't need it from inside our own movement. If anyone here is working w/in the GOP because they feel guilted into, or they 'should' or because they think that "Ron Paul told us to," you're missing the whole point about freedom. And if you're not free yourself, how do you expect you'll bring it to others? By being a scold?

Let's all have respect for what others are doing, and if you can't do that, then you can take it somewhere else. I don't have the time or the patience for this that I once had.

I don't need these kind of divisive, "I'm better than you" posts here.

Thank you for your consideration of others.

He's the man.

comparative advantage

Do what you're good at.

Reminds me of the economic principle of comparative advantage

"Politicians are a reflection

"Politicians are a reflection of society"
That is true, especially when congresses approval rating is so low. Its obvious they are not doing what "society" wants.

"unless you are registered"

Against my better judgement I "registered" so I could vote for RP. NO MORE! I withdraw my consent! I will not participate in the selection of someone to rule over me. I am a FREE MAN!

Like saying

That I disengage from the Revolutionary war. I think not.

Were you sleeping?

Did you miss the whole Neocon fake-vote at the RNC that gave the popular vote getter (see RNC hand-picked) the ability to hand-pick delegates at the state level? Remember - they put our people on buses that got "lost" so they couldn't vote? Did you miss the whole vote-rigging vote-swap computer thing? Were you on vacation or something?

I commend your efforts, and I do what I can locally. But, I am not disillusioned. If a candidate is out there that is a Liberty candidate, I'm all in (not Rand at this point). But, the party elders in my district are beyond reaching. They are truly evil people who believe in Christian Dominionism and that killing little brown children is condoned by Jesus because their parents are Mooslims.

How dare you insult people who just want to be free! Many of my friends who were hardcore Ron Paul people since '07 have gone the way of individual freedom. They are getting out of the system as much as possible and doing what they can to increase freedom locally. As Dr. Paul said, the only way to gain political power is to spread the message to everyone. So....wouldn't we be better served to work on the Democrat side this time?

"In the beginning of a change the patriot is a scarce man, and brave, and hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot."--Mark Twain

Dude were you sleeping?

That's been going on since Reagan in 1976 and possibly before.

Overwelming numbers, meanwhile the old brainwashed GOP die off.

Much better than wasting your time with Gary Johnson and the Libertarian Party.

The same thing has been happening to multiple generations for 40 years?

Who is wasting time?

The old brainwashed GOP is dying off. The problem is their place is being taken by younger brainwashed GOP idiots. It is a never-ending cycle of the uninformed and sleeping.

"In the beginning of a change the patriot is a scarce man, and brave, and hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot."--Mark Twain

haven't you heard?

Johnson has not ruled out running as a republican in 2016.

Hey OP, If you seriously

Hey OP, If you seriously think being involved in republican politics is the answer to preserving liberty, then you sir are the naive one...

Seriously you have no clue

The difference between people I talked to that would never vote for Ron but are all aboard with Rand is incredible.

GOP minds change slowly - they are just now coming around. Huge mistake to quit now.

The numbers Mason ...

Seth Grossman ( No Jewish Jokes ) got roughly 17,000 votes, or 8% of the vote, and Chris Christie ( No Fat Jokes ) got roughly 187,000 votes, or 92%.

Way to go New Jersey ( end sarcasm )

Life is a sexually transmitted disease with a 100% fatality rate.
Don't Give me Liberty, I'll get up and get it myself!

You assume that voting is actually legit

It isn't. It does not matter how many people you have registered and working to get someone elected, Politics will never bring criminals to justice. So you can lead people on another merry go round but We would all be much better off investigating the criminals and getting all the necessary intel and then physically arrest them and take them before our Juries.

Play their game and I will watch you waste your time and money making their elections seem legit. I will be working to arrest the corrupt criminals claiming to be "law enforcement" and "court personnel" locally to expose their crimes to our juries and to send the criminals to prison. Even Ron Paul said he doesn't have much faith in politics. I believe he said that because he knows the elections are completely rigged. Your support in bringing huge crowds out to vote only helps them provide legitimacy for elections that are not. If we had 10-20 million clear minded people flooding our courts with arrests and the detailed violations documented and began challenging jurisdiction at every turn we would all be much better and see victory through our juries not empty hope through rigged elections where we always lose. Most people are too pussy to stand up and do what really needs to be done. Bring the criminals to justice.

How many more crimes need to be committed against us before we actually seek justice through our own accusations that we are liable for? Oh no, we can't have liability for cleaning up the crime from our corrupt "officials" we need someone else to solve the problems for us. Give me a break...

The most powerful Law of Nature is Time. It is finite and we all will run out of it. Use this Law to your advantage, for it offers you infinite possibilities...

I wouldn't say it's meaningless

The meaning behind the whinning is: I'M VERY AFRAID.

This is the message or meaning behind the whinning from those who "really really like Ron Paul, and even Ron Paul, but absolutely REFUSE to join us and get in the good fight.

It's true they help our opposition more than they help us. It's true they iundermind us in the name of "liking what we do, or liking this or that BUT. BUT BUT.

BUT, here's the reak kicker.. these folks had every opportunity to get in the fight and they didn't. Even those who got in and got oit. They ran away.

It's their loss. They have missed out on one of the most excitiing political experiences in American history.

Meanwhile, those of us who SUFFERED, and had NO respect from these folks, but they insulted us, bashed us, called us names.. what do they have now? NOTHING.. except their never ending whinning..

WE ARE WINNING. Let's forget them and look to our future and make the GOP ours. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RtvlBS4PMF0

Stop your whining.

Many of us do participate in the R primaries, but they are only primaries. Your group will have no power over the changing the party unless you walk out and vote Libertarian in each general election.

Ha ha ha ha Libertarian

Ha ha ha ha

Libertarian Party been around for over 40 years, worthless and huge waste of time.

Win a local committeeman spot in the party and get others to do so as well. Then vote out the Municipal Chairman and eventually vote out the County Chairman.

Once you won back your county get other counties to mimick you and go for reforming the state GOP.
