Response from LA GOP - relax it's all good

We had nothing to do with the compilation of slates. Candidates ran under their own name. That's what appeared on ballots. If they had multiple teams campaigning for them, that is up to them.

These delegates are going to a state convention. With the exception of the 20 delegates who may be allocated on the basis of the result of the February 9 presidential preference primary, none of our delegates are committed.

Our system changes from cycle to cycle. This is the first year time most of our delegates will go to the national convention uncommitted.

Hope this helps.

Jason

This means that there was no "fusion" slate. each candidate won or lost their delegates as normal. For whatever reason (probably to prevent Paul from claiming victory) they also combined their candidates as a fusion slate, but in reality, this means that RON PAUL GOT NEARLY AS MANY DELEGATES AS ALL THE OTHER CANDIDATES PUT TOGETHER!! case closed. Move on, WE WON!

How did McCain win?

I thought it was paul and the fusion thing that won?

There is life at the end of the tunnel my friends!

Funny how McCain wins all

Funny how McCain wins all these States with Military Bases. Louisiana has two big bases. Barksdale and Ft. Polk. Louisiana is very anti war. Go Figure!

The fact that McCain is

winning in all these corrupted primaries and caucuses should be a red flag to everyone! How does a man like him win without the powers that be cheating for him. He did not win SC (I don't care what you say) and he did not win LA (I heard different from people who were there last night). He did not win NH (A liberal state voting for McCain?).
The powerful continue to corrupt our electoral process, and nobody seams to care. I say we fight!

Mathew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

Fighting is exactly what they want...

if it was possible to rebel against injustice without being hunted down and killed within days, then I'd be all for open revolt. Unfortunately, the government has all the power and resources...we as citizens have nothing but fear and debt.

There is power in numbers

What is the FEAR?
Thats what they want.
Sheep lay down for the slaughter.
How about we attack the voting booths on primary day. We block the doors, we bring bats and smash the machines!
Or, We can do a sit in, quite peaceful, call the tele, get it all on film.

Mathew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

F#$% THAT!!

I have nothing to fear but being a big fat complacent sheep!!

The sheep will be the ones

digging the mass graves for your corpse. Sorry it pisses you off, but do you really think that there is anything you can do violently to stop our nation's push towards fascism?

Our only chance is to turn more sheep into free thinking individuals. peacefully. violence only gives the elite the excuse they need to end all dissent once and for all.

I endorsed violence?? I'm pissed and for good reason!!

if you think that "pro-life/pro-family" slate is uncommitted

then i have a nice beach front property in arizona for you to check out.

Uh, I like you, Treb, but huh?

Let me get this straight:

1. There were basically two types of delegate candidates:
Ron Paul
Non-Ron Paul

2. Now the non-pauls CHOSE to be non-pauls (uncommitted is VERY disingenuous)

3. The non-pauls, who are obviously supporters of the OTHER candidates banding together, won the top 15 spots in each precinct (with like 4 exceptions out of 105).

4. So, under the rule that only the top 15 are chosen at each precinct, of ALL the 105 delegates who go to the convention, 101 of them are anti-paul, and a grand total of 4 are pro-paul.

5. Question: We Won?

Exactly!!

I have been in disbelief that we are not RAISING HELL about this!! I don't understand why so many appear to be complacent. Isn't there some way we could get this info out to people so that they could see how underhanded this is. I called my family today and asked them about the "latest" caucus and they said, "You mean NV and SC?" I told them about LA and they said ,"What??? They hadn't heard on TV about another caucus or about LA or anything" When I told them what had happened they said, that I'm taken the conspiracy thing to far and that the government and the media wouldn't let that happen. WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i thought so too, until...

i only have seen this for one district (6), but at least for that district:

i thought too that ron paul would have had as many as anyone else. but as far as i understand, just the top 15 from each district go to the state convention.

that being the case, compare this:
http://lagop.com/docs/Unofficial_Results_CD_6D.PDF
(unofficial results of the 6th district results)
with this:
http://vonwarterr.net/images/Ron%20Paul%20Delegates%20front%20(Large).jpg
(scan of the delegates who support ron paul in the 6th district).

note that all the names of the ron paul delegates fall after the 15th person on the winners list. meaning that, yes, ron paul may have come in second, but regardless, at least from the 6th district, he doesn't have any delegates going to the state convention.

the fact that all the other candidates ganged up on us, pooling their voters together, means that you had more people voting for the "pro-life, pro-family" slate than for ron paul. add to that the fact that mccain and probably others were on that slate as well as their own slates, and they got the votes, not ron paul. basically, the other candidate's supporters were willing to:
* split the win between them (i think there were 3 mccain delegates in the one district, for example, not sure how many of the other's delegates there were) and keep ron paul from being in the 15
-instead of
* each fighting for the win and losing to ron paul

i know the la gop didn't have anything to do with making the slates (at least not officially) but regardless, ron paul didn't get delegates from the 6th district, and i hope the same isn't the case in the other districts.

somebody please correct me if i'm wrong.

Source?

What about the email from the LA GOP that said Ron was second after McCain and Prolife/family? This day has been seriously frustrating. We need closure!! Thanks for the input, very encouraging!
