Alan Grayson to offer “Mind Your Own Business Act” to stop NSA spying

http://americablog.com/2013/06/alan-grayson-nsa-mind-your-ow...

Alan Grayson has written an amendment that he will soon introduce in the House of Representatives that deals with the relentless and endless NSA spying on Americans. He’s calling it the “Mind Your Own Business” Act — and he’s looking for your support. Yes, this is a petition, but yes, it will also be a bill before the House.

There’s also a nice “what the NSA is doing” section in this post, an explanation in easy-to-digest form. Check it out.

we don't need another law

Congress needs to use its powers to enforce the constitution.

That ends it all.

Why can't they insert the

Why can't they insert the language that was there in the gun-regulation bill? That if you use the powers you have in any way that is NOT useful for national security, you will get huge penalties. Minimum 15 years in jail, and all that.

The sick thing is, all this stuck they are collecting via phone logs and wiretapping isn't permissible in a court, unless the matter is in regards to terrorism. So it begs the question, why do they want this information if they can't use it to jail you?

Because, IMO, the people collecting this data are sick people who just like snooping in on people.

Plan for eliminating the national debt in 10-20 years:

While I do agree with you assesment

"Because, IMO, the people collecting this data are sick people who just like snooping in on people."

I would say that with the years of meta data collection they could and do use it to make anyone they wish into a terrorist. Then they can simply wisk them off to be tortured to death and never heard from again.

Yah I think the USA has become Notrh Korea. When they start telling us that we have it bad but the rest of the world is worse off know we are the new Noth Korea.

So not just to snoop but also to control opposition, as in dictatorships. Even if you change the dictator every 4 to 8 years.

Bet North Korea dont have to contend with GMO frankenstin food from the Monsanto criminals.

We suffer so a few hundred greedy people can enrich themselves by selling out their own country to ROthschilds IzUnReal. If we cut ties with THAT CES POOL entity and ended the Rothschild Federal Reserve Bank Corp false debt counterfit money operation. Return to sound money. Life would improve for humanity.

Most important of all we need teeth into the constitution.

In the military as a platoon sergent for 9 years the main things I learned
Lead by examlple leaders
INSPECT WHAT YOU EXPECT

No one inspects the dictates of government to see if its actually constitutionaly legal and if no nets out a punishment for the actions.

If we think a constitution will protect our individual freedom there has to be checks and ballances, there has to be teeth.

But then again that is always the reason governments never work, they claim to be such a public protection. Who will protect me from the government.

Only me. So what is the sense of having the government protect me when it always comes down to an individual protecting themselves.

The fox will never be a decent manager of the hen house it always ends up a massacre.

governments who usurp individual freedom are tyrants.

BS from a grandstander how

BS from a grandstander how about not passing more acts and just start obeying the "f"ing Constitution. Grayson is as bad as Sanders communists looking for an opportunity to seem different than they really are.

“Any man who thinks he can be happy and prosperous by letting the government take care of him better take a closer look at the American Indian.” ― Henry Ford.

Amen

My departed Grandmother would say to him.

Talk is cheep it takes money to buy wiskey!

Mind your own business act

How about a "Mind your own business act" regarding wars or invasions of other countries.

Not a big fan of more "laws", but there is a rule I'd like

to see implemented. ANY congress that has an approval rating of less than 50% over a two year period would mean each and every one of them had to step down and be replaced. We don't need career congress critters anyway and they have somehow got to be held accountable. Clean house every two years if necessary. Or, anytime the approval rating of congress is less than 50%...they CANNOT enact new legislation, period. Hell, with less than a 10% rating WTF are they doing sitting around making laws?

Asshats!

Counttered by "National

Counttered by "National Security Blanket Excuse Act".....

I want to scream

when I hear the National Security Excuse

Make a million and one laws.

If you cant enforce the very basic laws how could any ever think that a new law would help in any way?

Mr Greyson instead of a new law do your dam job. Uphold the constitution and punish those who have violated it. That seems to be the correct way to do your job.

sovereign

EXACTLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

These politicians are NOT doing their job of making the law breakers - obama, Eric Holder, Dianne Feinstein, Harry Reid and on and on, accountable for Violating the American Citizens Constitutional Rights while also breaking their Oath of Office to the U.S. Constitution!
We do Not need new laws, we simply need our representatives to grow a back bone and do their job and stop this NWO Tyranny.
Actually, I take that back. Perhaps we should have a few new laws that punishes "with prison time" any and all representatives that violate their oath of office and violate American Citizens Constitutional Rights.

I like Alan

Grayson. That being said, would somebody(ies) within the military or with past military experience 'chime in' on this:
(I am uninformed concerning the Uniform Code of Military Justice)

"...or an offense within the jurisdiction of the Uniform Code of Military Justice related to action or conduct by that citizen..."

I guess I'm asking if that phrase would exclude much...or is it a catch-all enabling spying to basically continue on as is??

O.P.O.G.G. - Fighting the attempted devolution of the rEVOLution
Ron Paul 2012...and beyond
BAN ELECTRONIC VOTING!!

It seems to be an ongoing contest between the

Military industrail, NSA and the CIA. The military in violation of the constitution want to control spy info everywhere and the private Rothschild copo family rokerfeller/bush, CIA which IMHO both are controlled by the ROthschild bank mafia's private state IzUnReal.

Why does this country fund a rogue state that has theived its atomic weaponry and refuses to be monitored by any outside source?

At the very same time Iran is demonized for atempting to acomplish the very same thing that IzUnReal has done they think that everyone is to stupid to even notice. Are they right?

How discusting to see congress cheer for any IzUnReal notion or visiting dignitory while they destroy the USA.

I just wonder if a Native American (Indian) was to stand before congress and repeat the EXACT same words as nit wit yahoo the x cnn liar anouncer, how would it be recieved.
The point is that the fed gov is sold out.

Less than a page

and clear as Ron Paul legislation. If Congress passed this, it would be done with.

Do you think Alan Grayson, the public, and Congress can overcome the interests of tens of thousands of employees at companies receiving billions in NSA intelligence contracts?

Is it vital to national security? Is it just a gravy train? Is it more important than privacy?

It wouldn't be "done with."

They would simply keep allowing foreign allies to spy on Americans and then just trade for it.

Congress has the power

to stop it. Do you disagree with that? I don't buy the cynical view, that no one can stop it, that we're powerless. Congress has the power. They can cut off the funding. They can conduct audits. They have the power to repeal the acts that created the agencies. The destruction of the 4th amendment is a choice. Spying is a choice. It's not an inevitability that good people are powerless to stop.
