What is your favorite thing about America?

With all the corruption that has come to light over the past several years its a good time to remind ourselves what makes America great. For me, it is our rights and charity. Whenever there are natural disasters, America is often the first on the scene. We bring aid and medical staff to helpless people. Americans are the most charitable people in the history of the world.

Ron Paul.

The Daily Paul!

The Daily Paul! and of course the Freedom of speech that makes it possible.

Use things not People. Love People not things.

I love your Constitution.

(sans the "16th Amendment", and adding the "missing 13th Amendment")

Whenever I read the U.S. Constitution, I feel jealous of you guys and more and more so every time. It's beautiful.

So make sure you restore it!

I believe in the freedom to be what we choose to be.

One of the Few Places on Earth

where you can MAKE money. Not GET money. Not inherit it, not GET it by force, fraud, graft, political pull or outright theft.

Where making money is more about WHAT you know, that working smarter not harder, and bringing ever greater value to your customer is worth more than WHO You Know.

I can still practice free

I can still practice free speech. I Love America because of what the formation of such a country represents: FREEDOM!
Our reputation may be damaged, but they can never take our roots away. They will try, but they don't realize how deep are roots can go. They will dig down into hell before they destroy our roots.

They can't get all of us.

They can't get all of us.

Check out some beers that haven't been recycled.

PBR, like Bud, tastes like it's already been filtered through someone else's kidneys. Possibly more than once. There ARE a lot of good beers made in USA, though. Find them here. Note: new list; this is US beers only, rated by customer reviews.

I agree Budweiser tastes recycled

but PBR is made in Milwaukee, and it tastes much better! It's also the #1 brew of snowboarders out west, can't be too bad! (And at 1/5 the price, check your local Circle K or 7-11!!!!)

Yes, PBR is better than Bud

But that's not saying much. Customer ratings for PBR on Beer Advocate average 70 out of 100, "okay." Bud is rated 59 "poor." Coors 61 "poor", Rolling Rock Pale Ale 62 "poor." Miller High Life is 64 "poor." PBR may be the best of the cheap big corporate brews.

I can't drink a lot of beer, so I don't mind paying a little extra to get really good stuff, when I do. My favorite American beer is Anderson Valley's "Barney Flats Oatmeal Stout", selling for $1.79 a bottle here in CA. Rated 91 "outstanding" at Beer Advocate -- I'd give it a 95, myself.

I'm from Argentina.

My favorites things about America are:
1) Economic freedom (not as much as it used to be, but way more than many countries)
2) People. It's almost impossible to find libertarians in any other country. In America, people (even Glenn Beck conservatives) understand the difference between a constitutional republic with individual rights granted, and democracy.
3) The market place of ideas. I love to engage in discussions with Americans, especially when I AM WRONG. I learn a lot.
4) The lack of cynicism. The left, the right, the center, everyone is trying to influence for the best. Even Obama is doing what he thinks it is the best for the country, he is doing wrong, but his heart is in the right place. There are a lot of people in the rest of the world who don't give a fuck about their fellow citizens.
5) The second amendment.

of all the comments

I truly appreciate your perspective. I wish more Americans saw it too. Your comment is worth its weight in gold.

One of the few places you can go take a free crap. A lot of places have an old poot-scrubber that hangs around and wants you to tip her. Some places even have kids running around trying to sell you a wad-o-buttwipe.

My Favorite Thing Is That

There are lots of dummies and I can trick 'em.

The large American Motorcycles

Granted they are poorly designed, expensive to maintain and buy, under powered, handle poorly, vibrate like an out of balance blender, annoyingly loud, and their technology is many decades old, Americans still buy them. Despite the fact that the German, Japanese and Italian motorcycles are far superior in any and every category one may use to judge a bike, Harley Davidson still dominates the market! In fact HD exports thousands of their bikes (HOGS) all over the world! Why? Because they are American motorcycles made in America. How can any American not love that?

I love a few things

I love our history (pre civil war), like how our country was founded, our revolution, and the discovery of our lands. I also love our landscape, especially the land and animals that makes us unique from other counties. Examples of this are the Red woods, Grand Canyon, Joshua trees, The Bald Eagle, rattlesnakes, and bobcats.
