TWA Flight 800 investigators break silence in new documentary, claim original conclusion about cause of crash is wrong

“..This team of investigators who actually handled the wreckage and victims’ bodies, prove that the officially proposed fuel-air explosion did not cause the crash,” reads a statement by the producers of the film, which will debut on cable network EPIX next month. “They also provide radar and forensic evidence proving that one or more ordinance explosions outside the aircraft caused the crash.” However, the statement said they did not speculate about the source or sources of any ordinance explosions.
The whistleblower team, which includes investigators-at the time-from the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), TWA, and the Airline Pilots Association, have since retired from their positions. They claim that at the time, they were placed under a gag order by the NTSB, which they charged falsified the official conclusion of the cause of the crash. They indicated they would elaborate more in a Wednesday media briefing."

Due to the number of eye witnesses who saw a streak of light traveling up, toward the aircraft before it exploded, I have always believed it was shot down. If this group of whistleblowers offer credible evidence, perhaps we'll get closer to the truth.

Iran Air Flight 655 was a civilian jet airliner shot down by U.S. missiles on 3 July 1988 as it flew over the Strait of Hormuz at the end of the Iran–Iraq War. The aircraft, an Airbus A300B2-203 operated by Iran Air, was flying from Bandar Abbas, Iran to Dubai, United Arab Emirates. While flying in Iranian airspace over Iran's territorial waters in the Persian Gulf on its usual flight path, it was destroyed by the United States Navy guided missile cruiser USS Vincennes. All 290 onboard, including 66 children and 16 crew, perished.

Trans World Airlines Flight 800 (TWA 800), a Boeing 747-131, exploded and crashed into the Atlantic Ocean near East Moriches, New York, on July 17, 1996, at about 20:31 EDT, 12 minutes after takeoff from John F. Kennedy International Airport, killing all 230 people on board.

TWA 800 jigsaw puzzle; why didn't they do it with 9/11 planes?

One of the open question marks in my still "unconvinced about 9/11 Truth" mind:

The TWA flight 800 was reassembled as much as possible in a hangar, and the media showed this wreckage over and over and over. This was 1998 through 2001, right? Why didn't they do it with 9/11 planes? Because they "knew" the cause and therefore had no reason to reassemble the pieces?

Or were there no pieces to reassemble?

I am so sick of the lying and covering up! I always knew there was something obviously wrong with the Flight 800 story, but now there is a clear conspiracy to falsify the truth, by the NTSB and a judge. Their names must be known. They MUST be prosecuted!

There was a day when real men told the truth, and

did the right thing, consequences be damned. We are so worried now with "managing outcomes", truth will soon become extinct, and outcomes will enslave us.

CDR. William S. Donaldson, USN (ret.), challenged the official NTSB position on the cause of the crash of TWA Flight 800 in a series of letters to James Hall, Chairman of the NTSB between April 1997 and December 2000. During those four years, CDR. Donaldson worked with other Retired Aviation Professionals, including some previous crash investigators as well as persons inside the NTSB investigation itself. CDR. Donaldson has extensive experience as a Naval crash investigator and he and others concluded that the NTSB's explanation of the Center Wing Tank explosion was not credible. With the help of these other concerned aviation professionals, CDR. Donaldson produced an extensive report on the cause of the crash. The initial Interim Report was delivered to the House Aviation Subcommittee on July 16th, 1998. Since that time a great deal of new information has surfaced.

Very interesting read.

Thanks for posting. It seems to me the most plausible explanation. I remember reading about a submarine hunter and other Navy craft in the area, but that news quickly evaporated.

Numerous Eyewitnesses

Numerous eyewitnesses saw "something" streak into the air with a trail followed by a "flash".

The hypothesis:

The target drone was launched at the wrong time and in the flight path of TWA 800. The AEGIS ship locked on and fired from many miles away with no visual, just a radar signature. The missle found a bigger target, turned and down came TWA 800.

The DOD went into reflexive CYA mode. Under pressure, the NTSB cooked up a story & sold it. Just another friendly fire cover-up.
