*UPDATE and REPORT* Going to private round table discussion with Rand Paul.

**UPDATE** My Report on Private Meeting with Rand. **

Here's pic of me and Rand.

See my post below dated 7/4/13. The gist is that I asked if Rand (or somebody from his campaign) would answer ALL your questions here at this very post. He quickly agreed, and said he'd like to make that happen, and maybe even do a special web event with the Daily Paul. Due to time constraints, I was able to ask only one question and you can see his response below (I think it's on the second to last page). My reply is date 7/4.

Original Post:

I've paid some money to attend a July 3rd private luncheon with Rand Paul here in Scott County (Georgetown), KY. I'll be one of 20 people. We are able to ask Rand any questions we'd like.

If anybody wants a question asked, please let me know, and I'll plan on asking him directly. And I will definitely mention the Daily Paul.

I've been coming to the DP for 5 years, 5 months (at least), and this is my first post.

If you have any question you're itching to ask Rand, here's your chance.

If ignorance is bliss, Washington DC must be heaven.

My only question, and I'll

My only question, and I'll keep asking it until he answers.

Explain the TIMING of your rmoney endorsement.

Who/what is 'rmoney' ?

Romney. Get it? :)

Get it?

Only question?

This is the only question? Get over it. Rand Paul doesn't owe you an explanation.

What a idiotic thing to say

You get over it. Rand Paul owes every person an explaination that he claims to represent, (speak for). You need to get on stage with that Beauty constest woman who loves NSA monitoring. How can you post this kind of garbage on a liberty site. You realy think a us senator owes no one any explaination? I only shake my head. Are you kidding!

I pay taxes in Rand's

I pay taxes in Rand's state....do you?

As a taxpayer, he owes me an explanation of ALL positions he takes.

owes you?

I pay taxes in Ron Paul's State....Whoop Dee Doo!!! Rand did not take an oath to explain ALL of his choices to you. This was a YEAR ago and now you are making predictions of what Rand will do in the future? The liberty movement will continue and you seem to want to have pity parties for every little bump in the road and even complain of what you think he will do.

You deserve what you get for supporting an extored theft called tax system designed to enslave the population with a compounding false debt jined up at a Rothschild zionist central counterfeit bank out of thin air and legitimized by a installed puppet government propagandized by a rothschild zionist media.

But your so proud of being a cowardly submitter that you can get agressive with any free person that doesnt go along and submit to false debt scam and immoral extorted theft.

You would argue till the end of time about how correct you are and denegrate any person who would see you as a willing slave. The slave of a slave is the most horrible master and that is what you represent. read up on how the during ww2 the japs used korean prisoners to guard the americans. Slave of a slave treatment.

But its impossible to reason with cowardly submitters because they have to defend their self loating immoral submissions to justify their life.

I wont block you yet ill wait and see your response but I already know what it will be. typical.

Me I was born a free sovereign and to be called a taxpayer is a insult.

Ps you deserve to he heard by him because he is the so called elected government senate offical sent to represent you, IE he works for you. Not because your a submitter to extorted theft but because of the constitutional republic claims to follow a constitution. He claims to repersent you and you deserve the right to question anyone who claimes to speak on your behalf.

Just let it die already.

"Once you become knowledgeable, you have an obligation to do something about it."- Ron Paul

Im sure all the lemmings want

Im sure all the lemmings want people to let that issue die.

I bet 10,000 FRNs on a couple things:

a.)he will flip flop on some important issue in the coming years before the election, like immigration, drug reform, gay rights, gun rights, or fiscal policy.
b.)he will be at Bilderburg in the next few years.
c.)he will back mcconnell even if a liberty candidate challenges him.
d.)he will send money and troops to back Israel when the war starts.

I'm fairly certain he has answered that.

Hasn't he?

I'm sure one of the blind

I'm sure one of the blind rand followers has a link of some kind.....I'll wait.

So, you're saying

that your hate for him is so much that you havn't even bothered to find the answer to the one question you have for him yourself? And who is blind? Sounds like you have Blind Hate to me. That's pretty weak, dude. WEAKKKKKK!

No, my position in the debate

No, my position in the debate is that he has never explained the TIMING of the endorsement.

Prove me wrong, or you're the weak one.

OK, check this out

Here here is on Peter Schiff show. He explains specifically the timing and explains that he had previously discussed it with Ron. I'm pretty sure he also explained it on the Jerry Doyle show and other places.

Ron had said on MSNBC (I'm pretty sure that's where it was) that he was NOT going to be the nominee a few days prior to Rand's endorsement.

You've mentioned that private information held by third parties isn't protected by the fourth amendment. You've also mentioned that you think that these court decisions were a mistake and that there should be some measure of protection afforded (particularly in the digital age). What would be an appropriate way to address the lack of constitutional protection afford to private information held by third parties? What intentions do you have, if any, to addressing this problem?

"If you run for President...

...will you openly espouse the abolishment of the Income Tax and IRS in your campaign?

If not, will you at least consistently communicate a message along the lines of, 'In a truly free society, there is no income taxation...shouldn't we at least strive for such a free society? Shouldn't we work toward that goal?'"

A couple of questions come to mind

I'm pretty sure he voted for sanctions against Iran. His father views sanctions as an act of war. Does he agree w his father on that? And why did he vote that way anyway? Why torture the people like that?

Also on a random note, does he know who his father would've chosen for VP had he become president?

Are "national sovereignty" and "rule of law" . . .

concepts that the senator understands ? And how does granting amnesty and opening the borders to millions of foreigners fit in with that ?

Follow up questions: does he think national biometric ID card 'papers' really fit in with the concept of Liberty ? Does he think the Republican party will actually get new votes from this - enough to balance those who will leave the party in disgust ? (Ann Coulter - who I seldom agree with - thinks this is stupid even on the short term vote pandering level.)

Hmmm - would the senator support amnesty equality laws ? That is, to require Mexico and other countries to admit Americans and pay to provide them with social services ? After all, isn't 'fairness' often used as an argument for this and so much that D.C. politicians come up with ?

Ron Paul . . . just said he would NOT support

the amnesty bill because of what it'll do to the American economy & the dangers to Liberty of the biometric ID card. (Just heard him in an interview.)
Bonus Question: When will the D.C. politicians start thinking about the long term interests of America, rather than immediate revenues and their personal election prospects?

As President, how would you deal with unConstitutional...

Executive Orders that have been signed by your predecessors?

I second that

I swear, I was gonna post the same question!!!

Given that the US has been so successful...

does he believe that the border can be secured? If so, what are the potential tradeoffs to liberty that he foresees? For instance, does he think it is possible that one day a foreign politician may say, "Mr. President, tear down that wall!"?

Alternatively, how many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop?

Please ask him why he

Please ask him why he continues to support foreign aid to Israel and what proof he has that Iran is pursuing a nuclear weapons program. Also, why is Iran being held to a different standard than Israel? Please have the balls to ask these questions.

I asked him!

I sat right next to him during the private round table discussion where about 25-30 people were in attendance. I only had a few moments as there were a lot of people asking questions.

Sitting directly beside him, I led off by mentioning the Daily Paul, and he smiled with an "of course I know of the DP" twinkle in his eye, and "boy, you guys sure do get around" . I told him the blog and website is dedicated to the restoration of constitutional government and he has a lot of supporters and activists who are willing to support him, esp in Iowa (as indicated in a post on this thread).

I held up several sheets of paper in my hands, and told him that I had 13 pages of good questions from the Daily Paul, and that I knew there wouldn't be time to ask them. So therefore I asked him if he would be willing to personally visit the website and answer the questions or have a spokesman answer them for him.

To that he replied approvingly. He immediately motioned to a lady standing to the side, and introduced me to her, the Deputy State Director, and publicly requested her to work with me (the DP) to pull off a special web event where questions from the DP would be addressed. He asked if I would give the questions to her (which I did), and then to work out a way to do something like a Twitter Q&A (I think was what he said) or something interactive where people's questions would be addressed. He was very accommodating and willing and desirous to see that this event take place.

Later as we left the room and walked down the hallway, I told him and his deputy state director that Michael Nystrom would probably enthusiastically welcome his campaign's interaction with the DP.

Back to the round table Q&A where I was sitting next to him. I told him I wouldn't have time to ask all these questions from the Daily Paul, so I picked one question that really challenged me to ask it. I read your statement to him and the group, "Please have the balls to ask these questions."

He smiled, and I asked read the two questions.

He didn't shy away and replied, and I paraphrase (these are my words not his, but I'm attempting to repeat the spirit of what he said):

He prefers there to be no foreign aid, but that since there is, why not give it to a legit ally. He did say Israel was an ally, and that would explain the double standard. He referenced a non proliferation agreement that Iran is not abiding by, according to their own admissions (perhaps reading between the lines is how I took it based on the activities they're involved in, like mining uranium or something of that nature). But he said he was opposed to foreign aid as a general rule of thumb, and he gave examples of where the aid ends up in the hands of evil people. So he seems to be against it, but hasn't taken an absolute position like his father. He took quite a bit of time to answer the question.

My observations of Rand at this meeting: he was a very good listener. He never interrupted and then answered each question as concisely as he could. He was gracious and interested in what the problems of Scott County were. He even knew some of what was going on in our county that most people wouldn't know, so he had done some homework.

Awesome! But Rand is wrong.

Nice set of balls! Thanks so much for having the courage.

However, Rand doesn't know what he is talking about. First, Israel is the one that refuses to sign the Nuclear non-proliferation treaty. Iran is NOT in violation of any part of that treaty. It has a right to mine uranium for peaceful purposes. There is absolutely no evidence that Iran is building a nuclear weapons program. None.

Finally, how has Israel been our ally? What treaty did we sign? Does an ally of ours continue to be an ally when it continually violates numerous UN resolutions and privileges Jewish citizens over non-Jewish indigenous citizens and those under Israel's illegal occupation?

And more importantly, how can a nation that is considered our greatest spy threat and that was involved with 9/11 be seen as an ally?

Can't argue with your logic and principles.

Fyi, Rand's Deputy State Director emailed me yesterday and said she was beginning to work on the Q&A. If their interaction begins, hopefully this thread will get promoted back to the First Page.
