Help put this metal prophecy in context

"They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be removed: their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the LORD[YHUH]: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels: because it is the stumbling block of their iniquity." Ezekiel 7:19

Abuse of the Tool: A Warning

Money is a tool and certainly one that can be abused. Money should serve humanity but some have made it master.

The love of money leads first to pride, which undermines humility and separates one man from his brother. It damages the soul. This type of materialistic pride leads to the second.

Second is luxury which undermines productivity, creativity, and responsibility (both individual and social).

Third is idolatry. The money itself is the end. The cart is placed before the horse.

Finally, there is outright oppression. Pride makes you better in your own eyes than those you'd enslave to receive 'free money' which is really the product of the slave labor. Addicted to a life of luxury and willing to enslave and destroy the other members of your human family to do it.

Translation:

When SHTF... bullets, beans, and bandaids will be worth more than gold and silver.

Of course, it's what gold and silver can do for you after SHTF that some people are thinking about...
