Fred Heads Turning to Ron Paul!

Go ahead and unplug your TV now. It won't do you any good trying to find out what is happening with the Ron Paul campaign.

All I ask of anyone considering supporting Ron Paul is to spend just one day flipping cable/news channels trying to get an update on his campaign.

After one week, you will see what we have faced for a year now and understand why the News channels always say his support is "limited" to the Internet. And hopefully you will come to realize the efforts the grassroots across this nation have been able to accomplish are truly a part of American History.

I just met a big Fred Thompson supporter a couple days ago who heard the news that Mr. Thompson was going to drop out. We were talking about real estate and then we was showing me his immense gun collection and our conversation moved then to 2nd Amendment issues and politics. He then expressed his concerns with the other candidates and said that he's thinking about supporting Ron Paul. I then mentioned to him that I was also a big Ron Paul supporter and have been one since May and it appears we now have another member--and a very wealthy one too!

They will support whoever wins the GOP nomination. It is my firm belief that is Fred had never entered the race, he would have won the nomination, hands down. Before he entered the race, he was doing great. To all the Thompson supporters, Welcome to the Revolution!!

...their supporters will have to re-evaluate and give the remaining candidates another look. True conservatives will be left to choose between McCain, Romney -- both of which are quite liberal -- and Dr. Paul, the only true conservative in the race. They can sell their souls to stay in the war or they can forget about the damned war and stay true to everything else they believe in and choose Dr. Paul.

When it gets down to two men -- our guy and whoever, of course -- the media will not be able to censor Dr. Paul and the networks won't be able to exclude him from any debates or polls or whatever, so he'll become a household name. Once that happens, I believe we'll have a real shot at the nomination.

Although I think his foreign policy ideas were nuts and he was weaker than I'd like on personal liberties, I think that Fred was a good fiscal conservative who would have been my (distant) second choice out of the Republican field. Although they will have to work out some disagreements, I think the FT supporters will find themselves right at home here in Ron Paul Nation in no time.

The things I liked about Fred I also love about RP - he's fiscally conservative, is a "straight talker", and has a reasonably good history to prove he stands behind his principles. If we concentrate on some of those things when talking with our Fred-Head friends, bringing them into the fold should be no problem.

and then discovered Dr. Paul last July. I made the switch over and it was because Dr. Paul is more conservative than Fred is, but Fred Thompson was still my second choice.

His positions were constitutional. He would've been my 2nd choice. Small government, low taxes and he actually had a plan for social security that would have given something to the contributors, albeit not as much as promised. I have no 2nd choice now.

Don't feel like you have made to big of a leap. I happen to be a recovered Democrat and I am a super diehard conservative republican now thanks to Ron Paul. Don't let the war issue get in your way Ron Paul is for a very strong defence for or country. If our congress declares war on a nation you better believe the other side will get a real war. He's a very serious person. He just believes that war is a last resort. He knows our nation is very powerful and has many ways to solve our problems than just one. He is without doubt the only person that can beat any of the Democrats and we all share this. This man is the most conservative man in the race by far. There are many thing to learn in this movement. I have learned so much about my country and how it has worked for the last 100 years. It has even been overwhelming at times. I wouln't trade this year of my life for anything. Keep and open mind its an amazing ride to say the least. I feel bad for your campaign ending the way it did. I'm sure you all had alot time and money invested in it. You have made a good choice coming here and I assure you you are among friends here. We eccept all people here. Not everyone agrees on every issue and we come from every belief known to man. We are a diverse group. We are energetic and protective of or candidate. We love him very much. I believe what bonds us together the most is we all want to see our leaders obey or law just as we have to obey the law. We believe there is no fixing our problems without following the Constitution. We defend this even more than Ron Paul. We love our Constitution in this movement and we love our Republic (And we will be the first of all people to point out the word Democracy is not in the Constitution or the Declaration of Independance). You can also take heart that we love our troops and they love us. Ron Paul has more military donations than any other candidate. We have many vets and active duty members in our movement. The military loves their Constitution as well and they put their life on the line every day to defend it. Anyways welcome to the R3VOLUTION we are glade to have you here.

If Fred had been the right man for the job, he would have thrown his support behind Dr. Paul. But fortunately, his support has a mind of their own and are obviously looking for the right way. They had almost foud the right place and now they will.

Ron is not against defending this country our fighting a war. He just believes that the congress needs to declare it and he has to have the support of the American people.

NOW THAT IS CONSERVATIVE IN MY BOOK.

Dr. Paul just doesn't think that we should be going all around the world looking to solve everyone's problems. And we should not be paying for it!!!

Sorta-I was almost a Fred supporter until I could not leave Ron Paul. At first I sorta thought it was something I could mull over and think about. But then the more I thought, the less I could leave Ron Paul. Once you really start realizing that this is a question of globalism or American sovereignty, then there is NO choice except Ron Paul. Even Fred, God bless him and his mother, was going to just be a slightly different version of what we have with a little less bad stuff. But Ron Paul takes us all the way to where we really need to go. Back to being America. Land of the Free, Home of the Brave. Thank God Ron Paul has been brave enough to stand up to all the nasty belittling the press and the candidates have dished out. I personally would not want my children to act like our candidates have acted towards Dr. Paul. Talk about disrespectful. Laughing, jeering, talking over, rolling their tongue in their mouths, repeating what he says as if it does not make sense, when it makes perfect sense and what they said does not add up. They have been rude, gradeschool bully tactics.

Yes, I would also like to welcome Fred Thompson former supporters. I agreed with a lot of things FT said, but not his aggressive stance on foreign policy. Or the fact that he is a CFR member. All I can say to former FT supporters, is that you now have a chance to join the real deal.

A TRUE Constitutional patriot , a fiscal conservative, a freedom lover, and a believer that we can take better care of ourselves, than anyone else can. Individual liberty and freedom, I can smell it now! Peace officers once again, not government thugs out to harass you, if you've done no harm to another.

that's okay I actually beleive that alot of Fred supporters will go Ron Paul. I have met some in person.

its like if you go to mitt romney forums or anyone else, you will encounter like 75% ron paul supporters acting under pretense.
