Hong Kong: "Snowden Left Lawfully For Third Country; U.S. Failed to Complete Paperwork Properly."

! Precious Zinger !

His departure came a day after the United States made a formal request for his extradition and warned Hong Kong against delaying the process of returning him to face trial in the U.S.

The Hong Kong government said Snowden left "on his own accord for a third country through a lawful and normal channel."

It acknowledged the U.S. extradition request, but said U.S. documentation did not "fully comply with the legal requirements under Hong Kong law." It said additional information was requested from Washington, but since the Hong Kong government "has yet to have sufficient information to process the request for provisional warrant of arrest, there is no legal basis to restrict Mr. Snowden from leaving Hong Kong."

The statement said Hong Kong had informed the U.S. of Snowden's departure. It added that it wanted more information about alleged hacking of computer systems in Hong Kong by U.S. government agencies which Snowden had revealed.

Maybe government employees

Maybe government employees will do their proper extradition homework a little better next time.

I Hope Assange Gets Away Too

He deserves it.

Was it a dream..or

Did I read somewhere George W has property in Ecuador in case he is ever brought up on war crime allegations?

"Howdy neighbor, what a good fence you seem to have"

Maybe it was Paraguay. Same purpose I suppose.

Godspeed and please don't stop now, Edward!

Paraguay.

Paraguay.

Wow

Never seen it either. Always glad to be learning about more whistleblowers.

Thank you for that.

I had never seen that article.

I'm amazed this fellow hasn't been "suicided" after all this

time. There is hope for Justice, I suppose.

What would the Founders do?

If he has 911 intel he is doomed.

I believe this would be the mother of all targets.

I pray for you Edward.

Maybe they could put three or four look-a-likes on different planes-just a thought.

If he does have 9/11 info,

If he does have 9/11 info, he's already released it to others. They can't kill the information.

He's going to Ecuador

He has made a request for asylum.

He's in the embassy now, per Twitter.

Venezuela

If true, that worries me a bit. I'm hoping it's a ruse to get him to Iceland instead.

Either way, go Snowden, I am VERY glad you are out of the clutches or our Tyrannical government!

ICELAND is perceived as a NEUTRAL country,

and not perceived as an "enemy". In fact, Iceland is ignored for the most part, and never even mentioned by the US government. The last thing our government leaders would want is for him to reside in Iceland.

Why? Because of the very fact it's viewed as a neutral country, he could not be accused of going to a "hostile country", as David Gregory stated on the NBC interview this morning.

Hello, ICELAND. Edward Snowden can now arrive in your country! I hope and pray for that end. What do Icelanders think? Do they support this young man who risked his life for all Americans? Do they want to help him? I pray so. Letting him know he could become a citizen would mean an arrival would not be met in vain. Icelanders are Christians. So, am I, and I do believe GOD would want him protected, and what better country than Iceland to perform this act of assistance and benevolence.

TO Iceland politicians:

At one time, America was your friend, always to be trusted, especially after WWII, but time has changed America, for the worst. Millions of Americans are now extremely disappointed with the direction she has been taken over these past decades, from the total control of our banking system with the Federal Reserve elites, to the Banking bailouts, to the total control over our Education System, with parents no longer having a say in their children's education, to the unsupported death panel Obamacare where all the politicians have waived themselves from it & some corporations, too, like McDonald's, and all the undeclared NON-STOP wars & occupations & invasions of innocent countries & the killing fields of millions of people, and on and on and on.

No, America has changed for the worse. We hope, in recognizing this fact, that Icelanders will see that by opening their doors to Edward Snowden, they can show the world that a tiny, courageous little country like Iceland can stand tall in the eyes of the world.

I don't believe they're

I don't believe they're perceived as neutral anymore. http://news.yahoo.com/minister-iceland-refused-help-fbi-1830...

PLUS!

They threw out the international bankers just after they stuck their onerous debt up their keesters.

Gee....

Just like Libya did. Sure hope the same fate doesn't await them for doing that.

It's ironic

Hong Kong follows its laws better than our own government.

bless his heart for trying to stay alive--

though there have been many martyrs to the cause of freedom, so many of them die without it being known that they are being assassinated.

Just as Dr. Paul's managing to stay alive (for whatever reason) has give those who want liberty time to learn about it--

Snowden's fleeing from the despots could help wake more people up--

I hope.

it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--

haha, that statement from

haha, that statement from Hong Kong kinda sounds like the statements the Turkish boys give the US when we try to extradite terrorists from them...

Snowden plane stopped in Moscow, then off to Venezuela?

Snowden leaves Hong Kong, may head for Venezuela
An aircraft believed to be carrying Edward Snowden landed in Moscow on Sunday after Hong Kong let the former U.S. security contractor leave the territory, despite Washington's efforts to extradite him to face espionage charges.

The anti-secrecy group WikiLeaks said Snowden was heading for a "democratic nation" which it did not name, although a source at the Russian airline Aeroflot said he would fly on within 24 hours to Cuba and then planned to go to Venezuela.

Thats what my sig..

is all about.

Civil Disobedience and exposing evil comes with a high price. Thank God, he made it out alive.

I personally believe he is a hero. Without the information he provided America would not know its government is spying on every single one of us.

Under this kind of leadership people are going to start disappearing. That is the only logical next step. When leadership believes they have the right to kill you, spy on you or lock you up forever without charge.. What do you think is next?

America needs leadership. America needs Rand Paul. Rand Paul will correct the ship and lead America to peace and prosperity.

Congress should give Mr. Snowden a medal.

If ever anyone deserved it, complete with an image of the man's face on it, Edward Snowden does!

Americans are finally waking up. When will Congress wake up?

I agree, Nonna!

Maybe after we have altered or abolished THIS government apparatus, and reinstituted (sp?) new government (or none at all) that "best effects our safety and our happiness"...maybe THEN...will we be able to award him the medal.

In reality....that WAR CRIMINAL we have currently as president should give back his Nobel Peace Prize and it be given to Snowden and Glenn Greenwald.

Time to INVESTIGATE the investigators of 9/11. PROSECUTE the prosecutors. EXPOSE the cover-up.

Godspeed, Mr. Snowden.

Thank you for your service to this country.

I wonder

how many people on that plane were aware Snowden was on board? That would have been for me, one hell of a long flight!...His going to Venezuela doesn't make any sense to me at all. I'm betting on Iceland!
I hope he makes it through OK. Our government forced his hand in this mess.
