How fortunate I am...

To have a man named Edward Snowden
living at the pinnacle in time
where a strain of tyranny
never before imagined
is arising from the incubator
of the sickest minds the world has ever known.

And this man named Edward
has the unique blend
of personal integrity,
uncommon scientific mastery
and a gentle but noble spirit.

How fortunate I am
that he has chosen
to sacrifice everything he loves
for the sake of many...
and me.

That one day
I may live to see a world
where mankind does not make a full-time venture
of mutual aggression
in all manner of endeavors.
