Watch out Rand Paul...here comes the NeoCon competition

This man scares me more than Karl Rove...A Bolton presidency, IMHO, would bring on WWIII.

Bolton Plans a Tour of Early-Primary States

By Robert Costa | June 24, 2013 | National Review

Watch out, Rand Paul.

As Paul, a Kentucky senator, plans for a 2016 presidential run, he is talking up his views on foreign policy, which, broadly speaking, include less intervention in foreign conflicts and a smaller military budget.

But Paul’s positions and rapid ascent have alarmed many Republican hawks. Behind the scenes, they’re worried that he has a shot at the nomination.

Enter John Bolton. Bolton, a former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, is being encouraged by several leading conservative power brokers to consider a presidential bid.

If Bolton and Santorum are to be added as competion for

Rand in the primary - good. They'll pull votes from Jeb, Rubio, Christie, etc. Can you even imagine either of those revolting men as POTUS? Not going to happen. GOP will lose again if they rig it towards any of them.

The "power brokers" who are urging a Bolton run likely don't expect him to win. They are using him to draw a contrast against Paul, and make a "moderate" falling somewhere between Paul and Bolton on foreign policy appear attractive to Republican voters.

Paul is politically savvy though, and can turn out some good national security rhetoric, as he has in the past. I dot think this plot will work as well as they are hoping.

Wow, and you thought...

...McWarmonger and Mittens had a bucket full of charisma...Bolton? Ha. At least his bushy mustache and "Oh, God!" John Denver haircut are mildly interesting. This has the stench of Rove all over it. I can see his campaign slogan now, "Be afraid! Be very very very afraid! Bolton/Santorum 2016." If Bolton won the primary(which the RNC gets to decide over the lowly delegates now) it would be proof positive, or should I say, confirm what we already know... we have a one party system, and Queen Hitlary would assume the 'throne' er, White House.

Ha - hilarious

I was just about to post that myself. I was trying to think of what to compare him to in terms of charisma, and the best I could come up with was a beat up, bleached, weathered, 2x8.

Zero charisma. Speaking style that is as blunt as a hammer.

I can see his campaign slogan now, "Be afraid! Be very very very afraid! Bolton/Santorum 2016."

He's the man.

Michael your comment was the closest contact I've had with a celebrity since the Morrissey look-a-like I ran into outside a venue in Portland two months ago! Thanks dude! Honestly though! Honestly! The written word shows no emphasis on words, no intonations, or sense of sincerity, to say the least 'personality.' Having re-read this message I realize how awful it sounds to someone that may have a disposition to assuming the world is facetious or sarcastic. I'm not being that. Seriously. Is this message perplexing? Yeah me too. Good beer. Thanks for the upvote!
