USA Jeff Olson, the 40-year-old man who is being prosecuted for scrawling anti-megabank messages on sidewalks in water-soluble chalk last year now faces a 13-year jail sentence. A judge has barred his attorney from mentioning freedom of speech during trial.

According to the San Diego Reader, which reported on Tuesday that a judge had opted to prevent Olson’s attorney from "mentioning the First Amendment, free speech, free expression, public forum, expressive conduct, or political speech during the trial,” Olson must now stand trial for on 13 counts of vandalism.

Any judge who treats a vandal like a 'Whistleblower' is

treated these days, is a terrorist.

Nice!

More of that, please!

What would the Founders do?

Wow. How many commissions of domestic violence do you

hafta have under your belt to get 13 years?

This judge needs to be horsewhipped publicly.

(Where does one buy tar in bulk? I think we seriously need to bring back the practice of tarring and feathering.)

What would the Founders do?

Outrageous

He should pay for the damage....

which would be .....what?.... a bucket of water?

Damaged property? Destroyed property? ... Really?

VANDALISM Mindless and malicious harm and injury to another’s property. Example: “such willful or malicious acts as are intended to damage or destroy property.”
Who is Mark Twain?

Defenses: Mindful; Helpful intent; Harmless to another's property. Damages? Erased by rinses off or rain.

"Sometimes my feelings are so hot that I have to take to the pen and pour them out on paper to keep them from setting me afire inside; then all that ink and labor are wasted, because I can't print the result. I have just finished an article of this kind, and it satisfies me entirely. It does my weather-beaten soul good to read it, and admire the trouble it would make for me and the family. I will leave it behind, and utter it from the grave. There is free speech there, and no harm to the family." - "The Privilege of the Grave," published in Who is Mark Twain?

"A judge has barred his

"A judge has barred his attorney from mentioning freedom of speech during trial". This person is not a judge.

If story is as is, then

If story is as is, then there most deffinatly needs to be some firings....and people should NOT have to call for it!

Clue:this is one of those things that maake people mistrust you Mr government, ....... OATHBREAKERS

Trying to force victim to plea-bargain

Take the conviction, have it overthrown on appeal.

Hang tough. Judge will fold.

Free includes debt-free!

So the judge wants to sentence state taxpayers to 13 years

of prison expenses to warehouse this man, who thinly spread colored chalk on some sidewalks that could easily be hosed off in mere minutes, or washed off by the rain.

This judge must be working on meeting his quota for the prison industrial complex, eh?

I have to ask...

Was the sidewalk he chalked on a public sidewalk, or part of the bank? If it was private property, and he knew that, the act was vandalism (as an act of civil disobedience).

VANDALISM

-Webster- Willful or maliclous act of "destruction" of public OR private property.

I don't see no "Destruction" here.

Be interesting to see how those who interpet things under the "Black Law" define it....

Now that's a great idea,

Judges block a person's right to defend themselves, courts are only used for voicing accusations before sentencing, saving state's time and money.

The words of the prophets are written on subway walls, ..& banks

BoA aggressively pursuing maximum penalties against this man demonstrates just how worried these banksters are. I hope for empty shelves in the colored chalk section of all California's stores and that every bank become the new place for inspired prophets to compose.

Any links to the offending art?

It would be awesome if good photos of them could be turned into products that could be sold towards his defense. How would it backfire on their efforts to persecute free-speech, if they helped the prophet, profit, by making his portrayals of their shame more public, eh?
