If Ron had 10% of the prime time Fox News presence enjoyed by Rand, he'd be the Prez.

Why not let the US market set wages?

Why depress wages with "migrant worker programs"? People don't respond to $9.50 an hour. Well then, just lobby the congress for cheap labor and drive down wages.

WE are against a minimum wage, because (a) it immorally penalizes business owners and (b) it actually costs jobs. But on the other hand, we are for forcing wages down by flooding the market with non-citizens.

I'm a Rand guy, but it sounds like he may be talking to too many farmers and carrying too much water for them.

This message will not sell, and he loves it as talking point. If I were one of the 25% unemployed without a degree, I would be screaming at the TV when he advocates depressing wages with Mexican workers.

Don't like it. It is not free market. Further, every time he says it, he loses votes.

Please Rand, don't self destruct. Reach out to American workers for Chirst's sake. Forget about the Mexican's for a while. When politicians keep harping on the noble Mexican immigrants and never mention the unemployment and plummeting household income in the country, it really comes across like they just don't give a damn.

Whoever keeps whispering in Rand's ear to "mention the work visa program" is an imbecile.

I don't like this lady!

First, she sets it all up. Mentions "President Paul"

Then, the rest of the interview, she tried to discredit Rand Paul.

If Ron had 10% of ...

...the prime time Fox News presence enjoyed by Rand, he'd be the Prez.

With respect, allow me to offer a different viewpoint.

Ron Paul was ALL OVER Fox all the time. He was given so much press coverage, it'd make the casual observer and ESP Ron Paul supporters think that maybe, just maybe he'd have a chance in a presidential election.

Of course, we know what happened in 2008 and 2012: there was a vicious smear campaign, coupled with a black out. Remember those black boxes on this site, blacking out Ron's name?

Of course, of course, of course Rand will be dealt with the same way. The idea is to give hope to those who have hope, and then of course to cheat the Liberty candidate in the nomination process, and of course, to utterly smear him and black him out. This is the circus part of bread and circuses. We, the property of the state, whose population is being dramatically reduced, are to be entertained by the circus of politics. The Pauls have been allowed to love because the PTB know the nomination process and elections are rigged.

We see the same stupid talking point of "you're an isolationist!" argument being used here by the sold out presstitute, Laura Ingram. All the while ignoring that those attacking Rand/ Ron are genocidal sociopaths (with irrefutable evidence of crimes against humanity)!!!!

Ron was NOT "all over Fox all the time"

You are not remembering accurately. See my below post.

Ron was NEVER on Fox News prime time in between the '08 and '12 campaigns. Not ONCE on O'Reilly, Hannity or Greta.

Being viewed by 50,000 on Fox Business, or by the non-Republican core audience on CNN, is in a different world than the 2+ million Fox News prime time Republican core audience.

I won't argue your memory.

Regarding RP appearing in prime time.

But my point remains: RP did in fact get A LOT of MSM coverage, then the smears came and then the total black out.

The same fate awaits the son, because the apples has not fallen from the tree at all.

My opinion is that the system is rigged. Ron Paul could not be elected because we don't have fairness built into the process.

And I believe you will see my words to be prophetic about Rand, not that the future smear/ blackout is hard to predict.

You simply can't compare...

...Rand's level of MSM coverage since the '12 election with Ron's post-'08. Even Ron's "A LOT" of coverage didn't amount to 5% of what Rand is getting.

You can't compare Rand's weekly presence on Fox News prime time, with Ron's ZERO presence on Fox News prime time.

Your premise, that Ron suffered a drastic fall in coverage, is erroneous. He simply didn't have far to fall to reach the level of a "black out". Are you forgetting the lack of coverage at the Iowa Straw Poll, a half year before the primary votes were cast?

I'm not disagreeing with you that the MSM will pull the plug on Rand at some point in the future. I'm simply pointing out that THAT would be a COMPLETE 180 degree turn, as Ron never came anywhere close to reaching Rand's MSM coverage heights.

I see.

Thanks.

You're so poetic!

We need a Liberty calesthenics program, turn these flowers into trees.. liberty trees.

Bring on the storm.

ugh...

I don't (quite) know how to express this...
....
....
I just want to vomit..
sigh..
watching the propaganda organ of the state
display their VULGAR power...
to 'anoint'
or
to ambush..
It sickens me.
Sorry.. guess I'm just in a mood.
They were so cruel to his father..
I mean I literally WEPT and SHOUTED at the TV sometimes..
so.. to watch this...
so staged... and dripping...
nevermind... carry on.

You should look at the bright side

Yes, they're vulgar, and yes, they were cruel to Ron.

But their cruelty to Ron largely manifested in their IGNORING him. In the few instances where they weren't ignoring him, they ridiculed and distorted his message.

That's not happening with Rand. At least not yet. He's a CONSTANT presence in the media. He is getting consistent opportunities to message that, "we don't have to get involved in every civil war", and that there's a distinction between 'mandatory' and 'voluntary'.

This is positive not only for Rand '16 but for the libertarian movement as a whole.

That was a Great Interview!

Rand Paul is his Father with a little more sense of how society views Politicians. Did anyone else sense the push back of Fox toward Rand? That should be eye opening in itself. I predict that Fox will push against him as he moves closer to nomination for 2016. He does have his fathers view of foriegn policy to a point, but he is willing to understand the majority of voters insecurity and fear of the unknown in foriegn affairs. I believe he will succeed where his father failed. Ron (Bless his Soul!) was shunned by the elite and many members of Congress because his truthfullness scared the BeJesus out of them. Rand has a diplomatic way of maneuvering around this fearfullness in order to gain trust to the many that just could not trust the Master (RP)!!! I believe that Rand is going to be the real deal. If I was Rand and won the Presidency, on the first day I would announce my father as my top advisor! Wouldn't that be something!!!!!!

What makes you think Rand

What makes you think Rand wont be shunned by the elite when thing start rolling. Remember inbetween presidential runs 08 and 12 the media always had ron on everyweek he was somewhere but when the elections started going he was once again shunned and not to be seen anywhere. Same will happen to rand, i hope not, but its the same situation.

There's a BIG difference...

...between Ron's media presence then and Rand's now.

Ron would get on Fox Business (very low audience), and other cable new programs, but rarely on prime time, and NEVER on Fox News prime time.

Rand is a fixture on Fox News prime time. Barely a week goes by without an appearance on Hannity, and he's been on O'Reilly twice in just the past two months.

Fox News prime time is where it's at for the Republican primary candidates/voters. The primary reason Santorum and Gingrich emerged in '12 was their near nightly appearances on Hannity and Greta. They got the regular free advertising to the core audience. Ron did not.

Remember?

I don't know if it will continue for Rand, but it was a NEVER-WAS for Ron.

Because

Ron didn't have people seated in the GOP. Because of Ron, folks like me took seats, eliminated Neocons. Rand has swung committees to Liberty.. my committee was Neocon now it's Liberty and we are far from alone.. So it will be impossible for the MSM and GOP to ignor us as we are the majority and better educated, and willing to fight.

We are ready for Pribus and the silencer in 2016.

Because Ron Paul said so...
