Why the Calorie Tax & Taxes on Fatty Foods Are More Than JUST Taxes

Taxing calories and unhealthy foods are apparently the new tools in the fight against obesity, because if the gym and a healthy diet don’t cut it, holding a gun to obesity surely will, at-least according to friends of the government.

The issue that has motivated me to talk about this is a recent National Bureau of Economic Research Report that a calorie tax would curb obesity.

So taxing foods and making them more expensive in a government-created depression would make people buy less food and consume less calories?

What an innovative idea! Forget taking responsibility for your body, let the government tax you into starvation… for your health!

Fatties are ALREADY starving by eating vast amounts of junk

Fatties are ALREADY starving by eating vast amounts of junk; they don't get any nutrition from crappy junk food, so they eat and eat and eat and eat, starving while stuffing themselves.

Meanwhile, they are poisoning themselves by overindulging on chemicals that, in high doses, can be dangerous, such as high fructose corn syrup.

At the same time, corporations are making huge profits out of their slow deaths, all while offending me every time I step outside the house.

I don't get upset by proposed soda tax or fat tax. Maybe its the only way to convince people not to eat six pints of Ben & Jerry's icecreams for dessert.

"Cowards & idiots can come along for the ride but they gotta sit in the back seat!"
