Ecuador Leader Says Biden Called Him About Snowden - Ecuador whimps out - NY Times

QUITO, Ecuador — President Rafael Correa of Ecuador said Saturday that Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. had asked him in a telephone call not to grant asylum to Edward J. Snowden, the fugitive former security contractor wanted in the United States.

Mr. Biden’s call to Mr. Correa, the highest-level contact between an American official and the Ecuadorean president since revelations about Mr. Snowden’s role in releasing classified N.S.A. documents, raised new questions about whether Ecuador is having qualms about granting asylum to Mr. Snowden.

White House officials have said in recent days that in their contacts with foreign governments about Mr. Snowden, they have warned those governments about the felony charges that Mr. Snowden faced in the United States and urged that they not further aid his international flight.

Biden called

Correa, hmmm. There is no love lost between our two counties. Correa dislikes US very much. They tried a coup in 2011, guess which Sec of State visited 2 weeks before. Correa kicked out the air force from Manta, China now in. US has now stopped "Fair Trade" as of July 1st, guess phone call did not go well.

Start demanding the jobs and procution of

NSA employees and other corrupt government employees.

Called him???? Don't you mean threatened him and the country

he represents with stopping all aggy trade. For a poor country like Ecuador $1billion is to much to lose.

Thanks for the video

This video helps to summarize the situation up to this point. Although RT has its own agenda, their reporting certainly appears to be more factual than our state-run media on the subject.

All else aside the Ruskies have had him in a black box

and I think they like having him there. I'm thinking Putin is a long view man and he might just want to make Russia more attractive for a new generation of defectors. They will want to parade him around in good health if so. But no mistake, there's whole teams of people and interrogators assigned to Mr. Snowden.

If any of this is the truth to begin with.

Be brave, be brave, the Myan pilot needs no aeroplane.

I realize this is likely a

I realize this is likely a stupid question, so please bear with me.

With the NSA's reported monitoring of all communications, why is Snowden so invisible? Could it be that the whole thing has been manufactured? Snowden is a character in Catch-22 that 'spills his guts' (literally).

AFAIK, what's been revealed

AFAIK, what's been revealed by various whistle blowers thus far, is global surveillance over US citizens, corporations, and in/out the US Inet backbones, and over a few "allies" (e.g., EU offices) they had to go bug target servers of. I may have missed it, but it hasn't been suggested (yet?) that it was completely global surveillance of absolutely all electronic communications around the globe 24/7.

But of course, we shall hear and know rather soon from Russia, China, India if it's totally wrong and overlooking the biggest piece of the cake, there.

Cirroco--- because he knows how to encrypt

....and because he's smart.

We do not get the full set of

We do not get the full set of news. I do not believe the news that say he is "stuck at the Moscow airport because he does not have a Visa". B.S. He may be at the Kremlin headquarters exchanging information.

The CIA can locate any person in the Americas and eliminate him. I mean JFK was killed and a B.S. story was fed to the people.

Maybe, probably, he intends to stay in Russia and this "moving to Ecuador" is a false flag.

While in Russia, if you are fleeing

Your country, they oftentimes set you up in a hotel in Moscow. I'm sure it's very secret, and that the person is very well protected by Russian police or soldiers or some kind of arrangement, so that these people cannot be apprehended by their homelands CIA – type of people.

This is what Russia did for a mother and her children who were fleeing their Middle Eastern country. Just recently I read this article, I believe, in the Guardian newspaper online. So, yes, Edward Snowden probably is in a hotel somewhere being guarded by the Russian police or soldiers.

I've been saying this for a long time now, Iceland is the place to go, and I truly believe that Iceland is the only place for Edward Snowden, UNLESS they reject his plea for becoming a citizen.

If that happens, or if it has already happened, quite frankly, I would be looking to become a Russian citizen. This may be exactly what the United States wants, to make Edward Snowden look like some kind of traitor, but the US government does not fool the majority of the public now, no matter what they tell their minions on TV to spew out about him, and this brave young man shall be supported by everybody who knows his situation, NO MATTER WHERE HE RESIDES, and that will be millions of people in the United States.

Thanks for not saying that I'm completely full of poo.

I guess I just find it difficult to believe an administration notorious for lying about EVERYTHING and being supported by a prostitute media with the journalistic integrity of Penthouse Letters to the Editor.

Looks like we are about to find out

what Correa's price is, for being bought...and what Edward Snowden's life if really worth.

Those FRN's can be printed by the millions...my my.

I'm sure you are correct in the method.

But in particular, I'm sure he mentioned what the Jackals (reference John Perkins https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yTbdnNgqfs8 ) have a history of in the name of the NWO.

It pisses me OFF that American's are blamed for this.

This is good

Now we'll see the real Rafael Correa
