Commercial ideas
Commercial idea-
A Camera floats over the back of a slick American sports car, Maybe viper or corvette flying down a smooth newly paved road. (you can't see the surroundings, just the car. and the road)
after a few seconds, (and you think it's a car commercial, it pans out and you see middle eastern buildings.
then it cuts to crappy roads, congested traffic, and cheap low value cars.
Then a voice says "Ron Paul, spending your money money at home, where it counts." "Visit us as ronpaul2008.com to find out how Ron Paul will protect your money, and spend it at home."
-----------------------------------------------
Then you use the exact same set up, with border control.
Camera follows as U.S. Border control officer along a fence, when it pans out you see the fence is in Iraq.
then show a unguarded U.S. fence.
Then a voice says "Ron Paul, protecting our borders at home, where it counts." "Visit us as ronpaul2008.com to find out how Ron Paul will protect our nations borders."
--------------------------------------------------
you guys can help come up with other ideas for health care and etc.
The trick is the follow the same format, and use similar lines and ties. that way every commercial reinforces the last, and keeps them interesting.

It's a great theme...
But I think it'd be better if it was construction
workers building a bridge. Which then
pans out to show it's in Iraq. somehow
this would have to be contrasted with
bickering over funds for the minneapolis
bridge collapse.
After all, what is the exact tie-in with
'spending your money' at home and middle
east cars? The main connection I would
make would be that the military is used
to keep oil available. Which is essentially
a colossal tax. Is that what you meant?
Other wise it would just be that we as
americans are spending money to buy
oil from the middle east. But that wouldn't
be the government spending that money.
However, all in all, definitely a great
pan out general concept
and certainly more creative then
any official campaign commercial as of yet.
Hum
my first thought was also the bridge collapse, but i figure that would insensitive to the families. the over all theme though, was that we are spending so much money over there to make sure they have a convenient way of life, while neglecting our infrastructure here at home.
could play the foreign aid card too.... you see a ton of emergency items (blankets, food, etc.) being loaded into the back of a C130, and have it fly over the gulf coast on it's way to the middle east.
I really like the sports car one
I like the sports car one, it would draw more attention than the fence one
do you think -
do you think if i storyboarded this, they would take a look at it?
That would be sweet!
Start with a single person (someone actually delivered) saying, "I was delivered by Ron Paul"
and flash though a bunch of people saying the same thing,
than the last person will be a very old person (older than Ron Paul)
And they say, "I was delivered by Ron Paul"
then the end, Ron Paul, giving freedoms back, learn more at ronpaul2008.com"
I still want a commercial
Featuring ALL supporters who were delivered as babies by Dr. Paul. At first, I thought it should be pro-life, but upon consideration I think ANOTHER issue might be even more effective (spending has my vote!). The facts would provide the pro-life subtext without having to even mention abortion.
