Plane With Bolivian President Aboard Has Been Rerouted; Suspicion Snowden Aboard...

By Associated Press, Updated: Tuesday, July 2, 3:53 PM

LA PAZ, Bolivia — The plane carrying Bolivian President Evo Morales home from Russia was rerouted to Austria on Tuesday after France and Portugal refused to let it cross their airspace because of suspicions that NSA leaker Edward Snowden was on board, the country’s foreign minister said.

Foreign Minister David Choquehuanca denied that Snowden was on the plane, which landed in Vienna, and said France and Portugal would have to explain why they canceled authorization for the plane.

Obama's not going to scramble jets

Just going to threaten other countries into grounding a head of state and setting aside their moral compasses, but not going to scramble jets.

He's even got France acting all subservient - how much threat did that take? But not gonna scramble jets.

Defend Liberty!

should we be talking about this?

I mean, he could stay at my place ya know...

Stupid, weak no-good puppets of an rotten empire!!

First we read about European governments being "angry" about the fact that the US has spied on them, - one of many sad facts revealed by a guy who is also my hero, Edward Snowden.

Then the same governments acts as weak no-good puppets of the same government with whom they are "angry" and who wants to have him arrested and tried for espionage!! I am sorry, these days even the very word "government" makes me want to puke!

Are there any politicians left in this world with moral, integrity, and who is even able to stand firm on at least SOME principles?

No

apparently not.

bad cop, good (bad) cop

bad cop, good (bad) cop routine

Their politics where once was national, is now global, they help one another manipulate the public, i mean, what better fall guy then a country outside the one having issues, as long as those in "charge" promiss one another its just for show

Iceland?

Why not go there? I thought it was in the works from the beginning.

Confirmed Snowden not on plane...

AP is reporting that Morales is now spending the night at a Vienna hotel. It also reports Austrian foreign ministry officials have confirmed that Snowden is not on the plane.

Ouch. Bad day for the EU

Ouch. Bad day for the EU heads of state who revealed themselves to be puppets of the empire for nothing.

If I didn't know better... ;-)

I'd swear that forcng the airplane of a head of state to the ground was tantamount to kidnaping, regardless of how gentle they treat him, and that that is an act of war.

But really, are you going to start a fight with the biggest bully on the beach just because he kicked a little sand in your face?

Of course not, because you know your place in the order of things even though you like to pretend that you are as important as the everyone on the beach most of the time. Sure it's humiliating to be "set down" from time to time, but you put up with it because all you really want is to play volley ball with the popular kids.

Just sayin'.

It's nice to know Edward

It's nice to know Edward Snowden is now the most important person on Earth.

He's

doing a good job making the US officials look like fools. This would almost be funny if Snowden's life was not at stake. I mean, diverting airplanes with Presidents of foreign countries in them because of some hearsay rumor. It's pathetic. One thing, though, is these guys all talk too much. You would think they would have figured out by now that they should keep their mouths shut and just get Snowden to their country when no one is looking, if they want to do that. I am hoping maybe that is happening; like, we haven't heard from Iceland yet. What would be great is if while we were busy playing keystone cops with Bolivia, Snowden was on his way to Iceland. I wish...

There is too much money at

There is too much money at stake for the big countries. They'd be devastated economically if the US imposed trade restrictions, tariffs or some such thing on uncooperative partner countries. It always comes down to money.

The pope will not

of any help to Snowden.
He, "son of South America" was chosen to facilitate the pretend clean-up of the Catholic Church. South America is littered with sexually bent old men, banished and hidden out of sight, until such time as to parade them in front of the World as proof of change.
This pope has been placed to aid the Rape and Pillage of South America
that will happen as soon as the Middle East is under control.
To those of you who are Catholic, I apologise, and I mean no offense, but the Devil hides his workers in plain sight.

Can you back up your claims?

Or is this just another fanaticism-fueled rant that only other fanatics can understand?

I'm not a fan of the Catholic Church either, but I tend to stay away from cults as a general rule.

A signature used to be here!

The hierachy of the Vatican

is a political force, and they meddle in World politics all the time.
South America is being lined up for the next take-over by stealth by Big Everything, which the Vatican has always been apart of.
There is nothing fanatical about it....just an understanding of how the Vatican works.

and the Bolivian President is a moral man!

What a nice place Bolivia might be to live with a President like that. It's been so long since we've had good, moral people in our government.

VATICAN CITY----a country for Edward

Edward Snowden can apply to the Vatican City and Pope Francis for asylum from the world's evil people.

During World War II the Catholic Church rescued many, many Jews and protected them from the Nazis.

It does not take a pope

There are many orders within the Catholic Church, so a Cardinal or Bishop could place and protect Snowden in a monestary and protect the Pope by doing that.

The Vatican rescued the Nazis

through the famous "Rat Lines" to South America. The Vatican is notorious for playing both sides against the middle. It has honed this tactic for 1500 years.

BTW, criticizing the Vatican is not anti-Catholic or Catholic bashing. The Roman Catholic Church has found it necessary to also establish itself as a state political power. It has a checkered history, to put it mildly, and it has its political fingers in many pies around the world working behind many layers of secrecy through its proxies.

It is the Vatican that deserves scrutiny, not its many Roman Catholic believers.

VietVet4Liberty----Nothing in life is PERFECT

....not even our country. As you can understand, I'm sure, that our own AMERICA has declined, been declining for a very long time. Are we to blame? In some ways, yes. Are the Catholic faithful to blame? In some ways, yes. But, we don't throw out the Constitution with the bathwater anymore than we throw out the Catholic Church with the bathwater.

Believe it or not, the Catholic Church became infested with evil homosexual people with the advent of the 60's liberal ways in our culture. As our culture declined, our morals have declined. As our culture has declined, so has our government personnel in wanting more and more POWER to arbitrarily rule over all of us. Anyway, there is a lot more you need to learn, if you want. Recently---

Pope Francis has recently swept house in the Curia, if you even know what that means. Read--

"Two top managers of the Vatican Bank resigned on Monday (July 1), just five days after Pope Francis appointed an independent commission to conduct a top-to-bottom review of the scandal-plagued bank.

The surprise resignation of the bank’s director general, Paolo Cipriani, and of his deputy, Massimo Tulli, follows the arrest of a senior Vatican official with close ties to the bank who was charged on Friday with attempting to smuggle 20 million euros into Italy from Switzerland."

The Vatican also rescued persecuted Jews

For balance,

"...... There probably was not a single ruler of our generation who did more to help the Jews in their hour of greatest tragedy, during the Nazi occupation of Europe, than the late Pope." -The Jewish Post, Nov. 6, 1958

"[Pope Pius XII's] dilemma was, how does he speak out without endangering them even further."

http://youtu.be/_QqRX96Akxo

Rolf Hochhuth, a German playwright, had been credited with first advancing the idea that Pope Pius XII, and by extension the Vatican, had remain quiet during the Holocaust.

More recently, the Holocaust memorial in Jerusalem in 2005 had erected a placard with history conforming with the Hochhuth caricature of Pius XII. But in 2012, at the behest of Pave the Way Foundation, another placard with more tempered and accurate account of the history was added along side the previous one.

Right, and Edward would be under GOD's protection

....and under the wings of the SWISS GUARDS, too!

And, you know what? They wouldn't dare attack the Vatican City, they wouldn't dare! And, Pope Francis is just the kind of Pope that would do it. He knows about those that are persecuted.

If this happened, I believe Edward Snowden would think this is a miracle, and he would believe in God if he doesn't already.

Edward, pray, pray...no matter even if you are agnostic, pray and ask for HIS help.

P.S. I don't know how to send it to WIKILEAKS..

That's a great idea...

send it on to wikileaks and the pope!

I wonder

I wonder if any other countries would change their mind if that happened.

bigmikedude's picture

Heh heh

Yeah. I'd like to see our elected "Yes men" panty waste officials dare badmouth the Vatican publicly on the record. Mid term elections are approaching fast.

Talk about some instantaneous tongue biting...

That might be the "checkmate" move of all time.

It might actually even make FOX news amusing to watch again for a while.

Pull the Pope's plane over, say he's aiding and abetting a traitor to the state and then tell the people how you revere religion, Jesus, and God, come elections. I dare ya. I double triple quadruple dare ya.

LOL

Then again, I wonder if the Vatican would back out too for political reasons. The hypocrisy sure wouldn't fare well on them either.

The whole scenario could be turned into the ultimate throw down option to shine a light on who's genuine and who isn't in both worlds.

Using the Vatican for asylum...

...is a dangerous thing. They can't be trusted. They played both sides during WWII.*
