What's It Going To Take To Awaken The American People?

If this was 1969 all over again, and the draft still existed would college campuses be so silent today?

How many people are truly wide awake in America?

25% at best? How can the tireless minority light a fire under the sleeping majority without causing harm?

There's been a lot of hype about, "the imminent financial collapse," but I don't buy it. What other world currency is going to replace the dollar? A financial collapse would turn the simmering pot into a quick boil, causing too many frogs to jump out of the pot.

Incrementalism is the recipe for a total takeover. They don't want the frogs to feel the heat building up.

Is a financial collapse the only thing that will wake up the average American who cares more about their local sports teams than their own country?

People seem to care only when they are hit hard in the wallet. Americans have been hit hard in their wallets, but the hit didn't happen over night, it happened over a century, very slowly since 1913.

Russian troops are now coming to America to help protect us, the NSA is spying on every single American citizen while the border remains wide open, 70% of Americans are on prescription drugs, the IRS is targeting Obama's political enemies, the media has become a target for assassination, and an American citizen who dares to tell the truth is called an enemy of the state.

Good Lord.

What is it going to take to change the tide?

Rand Paul is my only human hope. I firmly believe that he shares the exact same opinions and values as his father, but Rand doesn't wear his heart on his sleeve like dad does.

May God please help us.

Firstly apologies for a duplicate post

1) "Be prepared to fight"

I am under no delusions that politics doesn't involves diplomatic contest

2) "Because I for one am not going to let you win"

If it isn't about principle, I will be saddened to see one's soul lost to corruption

<

No need to apologize for a duplicate post that wasn't intended.. duplicate posts happen, it's not you. I know that.

1) I worked with Nader for three election to A) get ballot access for third parties and Indy's B) Open debates.

The results were dozens of laws suits in dozens of states by both major parties and we lost every suit. Conclusion.. a third party and Indy is a VANITY camapaign.. that's the principle.

You don't KNOW the GOP.. you KNOW what MSM has told you what is the GOP.. When I went to my first GOP meeting.. I was afraid. Seriously. I had visions of Bush and Chaney giving me the evil eye. Wound up being two democrats (there was supposed to be 24 people there) TWO.. "keeping the seats warm" because the local GOP did not like Bush... the next meeting.. 6 folks showed up to see if I would show up, to kick me off.. I fought them for a year.. they did not make it easy for me. Now I have FOUR liberty seats filled, and the rest LOVE Rand Paul.. go figure..

GOP committees all over the USA are just like mine.. Liberty committees and we have a good time because we are free to rewrite by-laws. resolutions... we're in. Every committee is it's own.. the committee becomes the people on it.. so by being on a committee, or supporting a liberty committee, Y/OUR PRINCIPLES become part of the plan.

2) Corruption in the GOP is what we fight.. so to think we have someone like you who won't join us but is going to form your own party and LIE to people and tell them that WE ARE CORRUPT because you don't go to our meetings, you don't KNOW us.. all you know is what you've read and seen on TV.. I'm not going to let you win if you're anywhere near me.. I'll call you out.. so prepare to lose.

You don't want to stand with us,, fine DO WHAT YOU WANT.. just don't think you're dealing with 08 or an 2012 GOP.. you're not.. WE ARE WINNING WE ARE THE FUTURE.. that's the way it is.

both parties

Ron Paul : Both Parties OWNED by the same Elite

So?

It didn't stop him from being a Republican his entire life but all of 6 months just so he could STEAL the Libertarian Party nomination from REAL LIBERTARIANS who earned the nomination.

saying he is not a real libertarian

deserves a huge LOL.
he's done more to put libertarian thinking on the map than even ayn rand.

Then LOL

He's still in the GOP

so is

john mccain and lindsey graham. so what?

So

GJ is coming back into the GOP too.

maybe

he said he hasn't ruled it out, and why?
so he has at least a chance of being in the debates.
you saw what they did to him in the last debates though. he was too
supportive of ron paul, made way too much sense so they kicked
him off.

He was a spoiler

He was just another cog in the GOP spoiler machine to keep rEVOLutuonaires from joining the forces in the Ron Paul rEVOLution.

He did his job FOR the GOP, not you.

he was and still is helping to spread

the libertarian message of ron paul.

i didn't realize you supported romney.

He's merely casting a net to catch fish

I didn't support Romney. Fact is, no one on my committee supported Romney.. not even the neocons.. No one voted for Romney in the primary, so we all became equals by the general election. I honestly believe, it was one reason many neocons got out. They saw what was going on and while they may not have agreed with Ron Paul, they didn't agree with the GOP leadership even more.

I think Ron Paul saw all this coming.. it's why he ran, not to win. I don't believe he ran to win because he KNEW he didn't have the seats.. but his message would call people to the seats, and it did. And folks like Rove are very worried.. When I met him at the CA GOP convention, I could tell he was worried.. the floor was full of rEVOLutionairies.. they were the action, the juice.. the tea party was pissed and rebelling while the rEVOLution was full of energy and life, their booth always had people, while the others went from selling things, to giving away what they had, and no one was quick to pick yp the freebees.

People here like to talk about principle, but I don't think they understand what principle is.. you see principle means that you do what you say you are going to do, even when it's not what you want to do.

I got signatures from people I KNOW, neighbors, associates, to get that seat, to get Ron Paul the nomination.. I had to sign those loyalty oaths.. I didn't want to join the GOP. I didn't want to sign loyalty oaths. I wanted Ron Paul to get the nomination and I did what I didn't want to do to help him.. and as I watched the whole thing go to hell.. I was on the hook. Ron Paul is waxing about "The Golden Rule" and doing to others what you want them to do to you.. and you better believe, If Ron Paul won the nomination I would want the Neos to keep their loyalty oaths.. so how could I not?

Didn't matter what I WANTED.. It mattered that I kept my word, my oaths. That is principle. Now we're in, and the hard part is over.. no more broken bones, no more censorship, no more silencers.. it's a different inside fight.. "Who is going to the biggest GOP party in decades in 2016?"

I really don't care what GJ or the Dems or who any party runs for pres, and for what reason.. it doesn't matter at all. What matters is that we get Rand the nomination.. it will be a good fight. I'm looking forward to it..

Now don't get me wrong.. I don't expect most here on DP to be interested.. we will probably be parting ways by then. MN and others will have their candidates, and it WON'T BE RAND. I got that message LOUD AND CLEAR, and I'm fine with it.

1) "I worked with Nader for three election to A) get ballot access for third parties and Indy's B) Open debates. The results were dozens of laws suits in dozens of states by both major parties and we lost every suit"

I am sorry to hear the disappointing news. However, I believe some lack of success can be attributed to an incohesive ideology which the Green/Indep platforms espouse

2) "a third party and Indy is a VANITY campaign"

Disagreement: at one time R/D were minority parties, while original ideas such as the ones which Free Dominion advocates also have to start somewhere

3) "that's the principle"

Disagreement: I define 'principle' as a conscionable ethic, rather than suppositional circumstance

4) "You don't KNOW the GOP"

Perhaps while as you pointed out, popular perception is significant and I prefer starting fresh with an original message: dignifying the prerogative of individual choice concerning public domain. Otherwise you are courageous for tackling a formidable opponent such as the entrenched GOP, and congratulations on your success

5) "Corruption in the GOP is what we fight.. so to think we have someone like you who won't join us but is going to form your own party"

I wish you continued success while practically speaking as Chair of the new Party, less time has been lost battling internal political opposition

6) "LIE to people and tell them that WE ARE CORRUPT because you don't go to our meetings"

I made no such accusation concerning your political committees, while simultaneously forewarning the dangers of immoral power if blocking my efforts as a viable candidate

7) "all you know is what you've read and seen on TV"

I will concede being unfamiliar with your particular efforts, however historical record (inc. closed debates) demonstrates that the Republican name has already been compromised

8) "if you're anywhere near me.. I'll call you out"

Let the debates begin

9) "WE ARE THE FUTURE.. that's the way it is"

Presupposition

<

1) You should know that the Green Party split over Nader because Nader refused to join Green Party International, so there was a Green Party USA created, and he refused to join that too. Nader was nominated by the Reform Party, and many small third parties.. that's how I came to learn there were 36 third parties.. but he pushed us to Decline to State Party, now called No Prefered Party NPP, in CA. So Nader had an Army of third parties and Indy's supporting him.. and to be very honest.. it was far more brutal working with Nader than Ron Paul because the two major parties worked together to bring us down.. false arrests, broken bones.. fights, it was very hard.. the good part was seeing Americasn from the left, right and center, come together.

2) I call it a VANITY campaign because it's ALL ABOUT YOU, as in WHO else are you representing? I had to go to my county recorder's office to register to petititon, collect signatures to be one of four representatives on my county central committee, after elected, I had to sign not just a loyalty oath to the party (registered Republicans, but an oath to the constitution of the USA and a 470, will not commit perjury to be seated), thus, it was not about ME, but about those in the GOP, in my county district. The benfots are huge.. I never knew the POWER as I previously was a Libertarian 76-93 and then with Nader went Indy from 93 - 2010, when I knew Ron Paul was NOT going to do it MY way and go Indy. I don't regret it because now we have a GOP Liberty committee and it's less work, less money than being third party or Indy, and more benefits with built in forms, ability to change by-laws, make resolutions, innitives and send them to the top much faster.

3) Ever hear the saying, "Good intentions pave the road to hell"? Many times, what one believes to be conscionable ethnic, one finds out later, that is not the case, but rather, what one thought and what it is, can be different, I suggest the story of the 6 blond men and the elephant as reference.

4) It was corageous in the beginning, now, it's the norm, so it worked out, and THANK YOU for the congratulations. It's truly a wonderful thing to witness the change is such a short time.

5)I think a one year turn over is pretty quick.

6) I apologise for misunderstanding what you are telling people about the GOP.

7)The GOP "name" being compromised is what is helping change the GOP.

8)You;re on.

9)WE ARE THE FUTURE is the motto Ron Paul gave us and Rand Paul is carrying.

>

I must say that I thought our discussion concerning these subjects had settled, but I will reply accordingly

1) "it was far more brutal working with Nader than Ron Paul because the two major parties worked together to bring us down"

Sad news indeed. Would you say however that dissatisfaction with the 2 party system has generally been on the rise?

2) ".. the good part was seeing Americasn from the left, right and center, come together"

This gives me encouragement because I believe that if the message is sound, success can be achieved

3) "I call it a VANITY campaign because it's ALL ABOUT YOU"

Disagreement and allow me to share a story: I was weeding the yard yesterday when a neighbor came by petitioning for a ballot spot as local Election Inspector, and as a Green. I likewise plan to vote for him because he demonstrated the considerable commitment necessary to approach me personally and stand as a public figure

4) "WHO else are you representing?"

My committee people, those who actually said they would vote for me and of course, those citizens who agree with my positions in the District

5) "I had to sign (not just) a loyalty oath to the party (registered Republicans).."

Personally, I just couldn't do that

6) "Ever hear the saying, "Good intentions pave the road to hell"?

Partial agreement in that I see intention as being one of several components comprising virtual justice: intention / action / consequence

7) "Many times, what one believes to be conscionable ethnic, one finds out later, that is not the case"

Partial agreement (and assuming ethic rather than 'ethnic'): I see principles
[ I cite 6 http://facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=673364406010241 ]
as being enduring guides for ethical conduct. We may subsequently fall short, however the virtue of these axioms remains true

8) "the story of the 6 blond men and the elephant"

Thanks for an interesting parable (assuming -blind- men also) while ultimately, I think we are climbing 2 sides of the same mountain and the future of both our stories remains to be seen.

Cheers

Thank you

1) Yes

2) How well did that work for Ron Paul? Censorship, broken bones, fights, arrests, still, it was still a cake walk compared to Nader's Independent run. What we achieved.. we amassed dozens of laws suits in dozens of states , the two major parties worked together against us, and of course, they had the courts on their side, so we did not win one law suit. What we won was helping them close the loop holes in their states. The state WILL be happy to take your money with a BIG SMILE, pats on the back, and they will encourage you, KNOWING you're blowing your money. Now you might get a small win, but with that win, you will find you've just been made a dump. Seems like me you appreciate challanges.. I don't learn so much from others efforts as I do my own.

But all this said, it's not to discourage you as much as it is a warning.. I was FAR from alone.. there were 500K of us WORKING, I spent a lot of money, led two states on petition drives.. back in those days we had a fund where we could bail people out of jail.. the Patriot Acts stopped that.

I believe MSM works with both parties in producing public apathy for both parties. Ron Paul said the GOP was a shell, and he was not kidding. My county's GOP committee was being run by former Democrats who admitted, they were keeping the seats warm (keeping up the illusion that there were two parties). I fully believe it is the intention for the top in the GOP to "kill it", because they want a ONE PARTY government like China.

3) He was what kind of Green? GPUSA or GP international (org)? Many have no idea their party was split https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Green_Party_of_the_United_States

As you can see, the GP is not for constitutional government. I believe why you signed it is because you saw someone who was active in your area and hope they will repay the favor.

I was an election inspector for 8 years. Here in CA that is an appointed position by the elections department of the County Recorder, working with the CA Sec of State. Today, most of CA is mailed in ballots, we have one polling place, where one can deliver their mailed in ballot.

4) YOUR committee? Is your committee registered with your county and state? Does it have a (registered) IRS number? Do you have a mission statement? By-laws? You seem bright enough to have all these things prepared.. of you don't, you are breaking election laws. Every donation you get MUST be reported within 24 hours (this can be a day to day.. so if you get 23 donations, you will report those 23 donations, give ALL information on each person for that 24 hour day.

5) When you are elected, you are going to have to go to your county recorder and take oaths and sign WILL NOT COMMIT PERGURY forms (for those who elected you). I did do that because that is what it took to claim my elected seat. ALL elected sign oaths.

6) All I wanted to do was help Ron Paul get the GOP nomination. What I had to do to acheive that was way beyond what I thought I was in for, petitons, signing oaths.. and as it came closer to the election, it became clear, he was NOT going to win. It was also clear Romney had NO intention in winning. Romney's stickers and signs were priced very high and he wasn't giving away anything.. it made it very expensive to have a GOP headquarters, and there was NO THANKS.. only confirmed for me that the GOP was trying to kill itself. When Rand gave his endorsement to Romney, to me (and those like me who had gone through all these hoops and ladders and found the GOP fighting us).. the message I got was, "warning, they will hold you to your loyalty oaths". I was correct. Rand saved me, because had I voted for Ron Paul, I would have broken my oath, commited pergury, lost my seat, been publically humiliated, never able to have any political seat or campaign, and possibly fined.

Because I did the right thing, rather than MY thing, I have been able to appoint people to the committee, and now we have a liberty committee. So it worked out in the long run, for Rand.. don't get me wrong.. the fight in the GOP is still ON, but this time, we are better prepared.

7) Ron Paul grabbed my attention with his Restoring the Republic to Constitutional Government.. (Ralph Nader gave me a full size U.S. Constitution as a gift for my efforts) Because I believe those who want the USA to come under UN laws.. If I did not want to restore the Republic, but agreed that global government is needed, I would be interested in your principles because I see how they would be a perfect tool to acomplish that.. though I would suggest you dumb it down for the public.. I have dyslexia, and I think I'm losing my vison.. I just had an eye operation this year, but it didn't work out so well. I have three pairs of glasses next to the computer, never know which one might work best.. sometimes I leave a pair somewhere else.. I'm not eligable for lasics.. I don't like giving excuses for my poor spelling: Please excuse me.. sometimes I see my writing and it gets me. I told myself I was not going to let it stop me from trying to communicate, (I had to hire an editor when I was in college).

8) I think the mountain is more like a volcano.

Thank you.

1) "How well did that work for Ron Paul?"

My honest belief is that Dr. Ron could've clinched the GOP Nomination if he was willing to play straight-forward offense (ex. taking Iowan election fraud to task, challenging opponents in the debates, not capitulating leadership when his 2012 Campaign speeches were peaking and wildly successful) [speculation: personal threat?]
http://www.dailypaul.com/252344/doug-wead-romney-threatened-...
I am still forever grateful because he guided me to a new philosophy while politically (and its easy to say peripherally), other approaches could've been made

2) "Now you might get a small win, but with that win, you will find you've just been made a dump"

Let's see what happens should I actually win: there are numerous approaches to affecting policy

3) "Seems like me you appreciate challanges.. I don't learn so much from others efforts as I do my own"

True and same here; a tragic flaw of the idealist ; ) ?

4) "But all this said, it's not to discourage you as much as it is a warning"

Appreciated, TG. It's not always easy to discern tone amongst these written words

5) "back in those days we had a fund where we could bail people out of jail.. the Patriot Acts stopped that"

Back we are to changing policy indeed, and I respect that you've undertaken the challenge to get involved within the apparatus. I should mention also that in contrast to some opinions which advocate 'letting the system collapse and starting over', without a rectification in policy my belief is that a cycle of oppression continues indefinitely

6) "I believe MSM works with both parties in producing public apathy for both parties"

You could very well be right, having read about such Intelligence operations as Project Mockingbird
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Mockingbird
Fortunately I do believe however that the desire for sensational stories can actually work in an astute candidate's favor (ie. Jesse Ventura as a political figure etc)

7) "Ron Paul said the GOP was a shell, and he was not kidding. My county's GOP committee was being run by former Democrats who admitted, they were keeping the seats warm (keeping up the illusion that there were two parties)"

Amazing opportunity and I'm glad that souls like yourself have rightfully taken advantage of the situation. I similarly maintain that another 'flank' (ie. 3rd party) can politically surround and defeat a common opponent when organized etc

8) "I fully believe it is the intention for the top in the GOP to "kill it", because they want a ONE PARTY government like China"

This is a new speculation to me quite frankly, but you could be right again

9) "He was what kind of Green?"

I don't know, but will be curious to ask next time I see him

10) "As you can see, the GP is not for constitutional government"

I see and utimately, I believe this hurts the GP's cause as well

11) "I believe why you signed it is because you saw someone who was active in your area.."

Yep, I like to reward initiative

12) .."and hope they will repay the favor"

For petitioning, yes; otherwise they saw my placard for the FD Party and it can't be denied as a potential competitor, but that is a battle for another day

13) "YOUR committee?"

Yes for my Candidacy, which has been registered with the City Board of Elections

14) "Does it have a (registered) IRS number? Do you have a mission statement?"

The Party (~Free Dominion) does
http://facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=196358930504169
while as a Candidate for 'Councilship', I haven't yet read about such a requirement

15) "By-laws?"

Honestly I don't know, but I appreciate your advice and will look into it

16) "Every donation you get MUST be reported within 24 hours"

Fortunately I've self-financed (postal flyers), so that hasn't been an issue

17) "When you are elected, you are going to have to go to your county recorder and take oaths and sign WILL NOT COMMIT PERGURY forms (for those who elected you)"

I have no problem with taking a public oath of ethics per elected office (Party pledges is another matter)

18) "the message I got was, "warning, they will hold you to your loyalty oaths". I was correct"

At the very least, I hope that is something your new GOP can challenge (and for the record, FD stipulates no such obligation)

19) "..Because I believe those who want the USA to come under UN laws"

A big and relevant issue, indeed. My position on that isn't entirely formulated yet, but I firstly believe that because a conscionable apparatus is the mechanism for proper governance, individual agency should be the most vital form of authorship to be recognized and protected. Subsequently and because I define a 'right' as autochthonal demonstration which immutably stands upon tractable ground, I do not agree with a remote entity exercising dominion over the planet as a whole

20) "I would be interested in your principles"

Thanks: the premise of my philosophy is based upon the dignity of choice concerning public domain, and I make the case that 6 principles should guide the discernment of ethical conduct.

21) "..I see how they would be a perfect tool to acomplish that.."

Sorry--do you mean to invite or thwart global governance (and assumedly of a tyrannical kind)?

22) "I would suggest you dumb it down for the public"

I admit that some 'heady' words are included rhetorically while in my belief, other value is achieved by claiming the meaning of various terms (ie. "Dignitarian" ideology etc)

23) "I have dyslexia, and I think I'm losing my vison.. I just had an eye operation this year, but it didn't work out so well.. I don't like giving excuses for my poor spelling: Please excuse me"

I truly admire your perseverance, TG and am sorry to hear of any loss. I hope you stay with it though because vanguards like yourself are dearly needed

24) "I think the mountain is more like a volcano"

lol One heluva victory 'lap' should our causes succeed, no?

<

I hope you find and attend at least one GOP county central committee meeting. If you were in my county, you would see that you have a built in team with resources and "grandfathered" power (they've been doing it for so long, government on all levels, organizations.. it's expected that we will show up.. and you have expert (not me), people that bring something, and many there have been around long enough, they have a network for other counties, the state and big doners, who give not just money, but "in-kind" donations, you get a place in parades, at local fairs, at organized groups, like League of Women's Voters, radio and TV time, opportunity to debates.. when you see what is there, you may understand, building a wheel from scratch takes a lot of time and resources, where taking the wheel that exists, can get you where you want to go faster.

This was the case for me.. as much as I had worked politically, I had not really understood the power of the GOP, which, despite the bad brand the GOP earned under MSM and Bush.. Ron Paul has rebranded the GOP, many wonderful people who were former third party and indys have taken seats and offices, and while we are not clones, many of us are still very independent thinkers and doers, I will admit, this is the best political experience of my life.. it is very exciting and rewarding to be part of a rEVOLution, and I am grateful to Ron Paul for his lead.

After all, you may want to see who you're GOP competition is, eh? Meetings should be open to the public.

Onward!

Why? no 3rd parties?

just curious.

What's the point?

to be spoilers?

Agreed, point taken

I am clearly in danger of drunken posting..

Simply the same thing that spurred the Arab Spring:

Starvation.

"Bend over and grab your ankles" should be etched in stone at the entrance to every government building and every government office.

It's...

going to have to take a hit to their wallet. A hit so massive that they can't buy their iPads anymore.

less Fluoride?

just a thought....

Hah

Yeah, I was going to say, maybe you hit the nail on the head? 70% on prescription meds?

Do the doped up lab rats try to escape? Do they realise they are an experiment?
