Free State Project/New Hampshire Question

I am considering purchasing land in NH; to become part of the Free State Project. I cannot move up there for at least another several years; however I would like to buy land now so I can pay it off before I make the move.

I have never been to NH and was wondering if anybody familiar with NH could give me their opinion on what part of the state I should consider moving to, where are some of your favorite places to visit and what are some of your favorite things to do in NH (mainly to further persuade my wife, she's under the impression that all of NH is the wilderness). Also, if there are any areas I should avoid.

I would appreciate any information. Thanks.

What kind of city would you like to live in? Sounds like you'd want to be south of Concord. Would you be able to make it up for a visit at somepoint. Free Staters will usually show you around and even offer you a place to stay. The cheap land is north of Concord but much more rural. Depends what you are looking for and employment situations.

I live in the eastern central

I live in the eastern central part of NH, near a town called North Conway NH, a tourist town. Tourist come here to ski in the winter and hike in the summer in the white mountain notional forest. Population density in NH is heavier down south of us and lighter in the north. The type of work here come mostly from the restaurant and hotel industry and some from construction industry. Hello fellow Free Stater

Jay, I hope you'll be at the BearCat event Monday. I am from Somersworth, which I wouldn't suggest for a destination point. Any other city around it is fine.

Thanks for the link, North

Thanks for the link, North Conway looks like a nice town. I'm currently looking to move to the Concord area because my wife prefers to be within 1-2 hours of Boston and the Ocean. I located a couple nice pieces of property in a little town called Pittsfield. Any thoughts on this area?
