Voices in the WildernessSubmitted by Delete on Wed, 07/03/2013 - 11:54
Louis Farrakhan, of all people, once referred to Ron Paul as a voice crying in the wilderness. The good Doctor's integrity and unswerving stand for liberty did, indeed, at the time seem like a quickly passing quixotic delusion.
Rather than slip away, however, his vision became a reality. More patriots woke up and answered the call rooted in 1776. Judge Napolitano, Justin Amash, and others who are less well-known at the moment, but every bit as true to the call, are rising up. Freedom's bell is now even ringing around the world.
Nigel Farge, the firebrand from the UK comes to mind and, most emphatically, Clare Daly from Ireland. Clare Daly's impassioned plea in parliament on behalf of Edward Snowden is something that I will never forget.
I thank God that Ron Paul, the father of liberty in our day, is no longer a lone voice crying in the wilderness.
