July 4th is About the Right to Secede from a Corrupt Federal Government Unfit to Govern a Free People.

The recent course of current events today as well as back in 1776 do hold very similar parallels. Like the founders as of today. They have tried every peaceful means petitioning working with the system trying to resolve redressing grievances with a political solution. As of today as well back before 1776. The response by those in government was as outlined in the Declaration of independence was:

In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury.

Regardless of the mind control and brainwashing happening to the population. There are those like me and many like minded individual was see the obvious. This is not just to Barrack Obama and Joe Biden. This is to John McCain, Lindsey Graham, Joe Lieberman, Diane Fienstien, Chuck Shumer, Nancy Pelsoli and Peter King and John Boehner all have proved the following in the famous document Thomas Jefferson wrote with another quote:

whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.

It is not a right....It is a DUTY

as pointed out in the Declaration of Independence.

I keep pointing this out to people... we need a "Free county project"
similar to the "free state project" but on the county level.

All it takes is one county to tip the dominoes.

All political power should be at the county level, close to home to keep officials and elections accountable.

Speaking of right to seceed

I have some relevant ass hatery for anyone interested here.

A close co-worker of mine has a buddy who is a higher up Military Intelegence guy, he resently went to go visit him and he disclosed to him that the massive ammo buyouts that have dryed out the ammo markets from NSA were indeed due to mainly Texas and (Wyoming I think) seriouslly threatening sucession.

I wasn't sure if this info deserved a thread of its own, but this thread seemed like a good place to share that.

Huston, we have ignition

I guess that would not be totally improbable. I understand Texas would due much better without the federal tax burden. Rick Perry has said that Texas jointed the US voluntarily and reserves the right to leave voluntarily, he has made more than a few speeches threatening succession. That is all probably political BS, but if the SHTF, Texas could be the first to go. I wonder how the feds would react to that?

lindalsalisbury's picture

This Texas-Okie

would agree that TX would lead the charge.

We would have to have a boat load of help fast - OK would probably join the fray.

It is my understanding that nukes are still made in Amarillo. There is a large ammo plant in Ardmore - not to mention the pipeline crossroads at Cushing. Energy sources and refining + major shipping ports. And then, there is the wheat belt and the cattle industry.

The feds have already threatened a no fly zone over the TSA squabble.

It will be fast and bloody if TX tries to go it alone. The rest of the country will be without hope if they do not help. They will have no chance if TX, with all it's resources goes down first.

I don't agree

The Firth is a celebration of those who had the ability to write a constitution and bill of rights to GIVE to colonies that wanted freedom.

They gave us something to stand for, unlike many who want to give us nothing to fall for a UN Agenda by default.

What is

the 'Firth' anyway ? You live in California, why should Texas pay to prop up a lost cause ? You made your bed, now lay down in it...

"If ever time should come, when vain and aspiring men shall possess the highest seats in Government, our country will stand in need of its experienced patriots to prevent its ruin."

The Firth is a typo

I live in CA, where representatives from Texas come to take our corporations and work force.. DeVore and Karl Rove were here recently to bash CA and sell us TX.

That said, I don't believe TX owes CA a thing, and to be honest with you, there isn't anything TX has that I want and that includes their jobs.

As for saying that "I made this bed".. That is incorrect, I have fought the bed being made in CA by the Democratic party, but as a Californian, I will lay in this bed, just as an American, I will lay in the bed Obama/Bush have made, though I voted for neither, both have been and are my president, so I will suffer the consequences, and rather than focus on my siffering, continue to find ways, despite Jerry Brown and the Democratic Party, to RESTORE CA, because the truth is, despite it's political downside, CA is rich in natural resources and continues to have potential in developing energy and technology beyond TX.

Finally, CAL MEX beats TEX MEX hands down.

No

they come to Calidumpya to keep your jobs and corporations from going oversea's! Many came to Texas on their own way before Rick Perry ever showed up in that socialist dump! Sense your so in to the USA and all, you should be thanking us for keeping all that tax money in the states so Calidumpya can survive! Your state is a lost cause. It has no potential for anything but more Liberal and Socialist policies and robbing more money from the production states to prop their failed green weenie pipe dream Utopia up...

NO

I met DeVore and Rove, listened to what they had to say, watched their videos, heard their speaches and bashing of CA, party politics.. but made no mistake that they are absolutely inviting Californain corporations to relocate to TX.

Thanking TX for taking corporations? I'm all for a free market and don't blame any corporation for relocating out of CA to pay CEOs rather than taxes..

But my state is not a lost cause, the pendulum will swing back because CA has natural reasouces TX does not have, and thanks to Obama and Brown, the Democrats are NOT happy and therefore can be open to solutions.

I can THANK GOD the greenie weenie pipe dream is failing, for that is what will empower the pedulum to swing the other way.. and then you will kiss those corporations goodbye, for they will do to TX what they did to CA.. corporations have a nature much like governments, they are not loyal to anyone but the folks at the top, and that loyalty is bought.

While I'm not a huge fan of Texas, I'm not going to knock Texas because there are things I appreciate about Texas.. I've had great times in Texas, met great people in Texas, though I wouldn't suggest anyone go to surf in Texas.. Gaslvestion had to be the worst most polluted break I ever laid eyes on.. didn't even get in the water it was so filthy. NASA is pretty cool though, and Austin is beautiful,, SXSW is a lot of fun, UT and TA&M are great schools. The home cooking of TX is better than the TX Mex, and I like the people from TX.. I've met many good people from TX.

Best Mexican Food

on the planet is a mile from my house! Its called the Donkey and Calidumpya couldn't hold a candle. Corporations aren't leaving Texas, they are moving in to stay. We have all the resources Cali does and we can also self sustain should we succeed from the Union unlike Cali. Steady job growth is here for a reason while the rest of the country goes down the crapper. I do wish you luck in your fight, you will need all the luck you can get as your state will never recover to the point to match Texas, even on a good day.. To many Liberal's there for that to ever happen..I admire your wishful thinking..;)

El Tarasco is the best Mexican Food on the planet

http://losangeles.citysearch.com/profile/140415/manhattan_be...

It's a hole in the wall, and there's always a long line that's worth the wait. (It's not only VERY inexpensive, but everything: chips, salsa, guacamole (he owns an avocado grove so the portions are huge and YUMMY!) is hand made and fresh.. his carnitas are crispy moist and juicy.. but I have a thing for the chili relleno burrito...

The BIG secret is you order your food to go, stop by a liquor store and pick up a six pack of your favorite cervesa (or order their hochata).. when you pick up your order, head to the East side of the building where you will see steps that go to the roof.. not even all the locals know about the roof.. where you get a panoramic view from Malibu to Palos Verdes.. and the mountains.. and there is nothing in this world like spending a day at the beach and then eating on top of the world at El Tarasco.. I think a burrito is under $4.00 and that comes with endless bowls of hot crisp corn tortillias you break into chips and awesom chilled and spocy salsa.

We do have resources in CA that TX doesn't have, and like TX, we have oil, and that includes offshore that is virgin.. we have mountains, the pacific, and the weather is perfect near the coast..

YES, the liberals have hurt CA with their give aways and Obamanation.. but this will not last.. it may take decades.. but I LOVE my state for many reasons, and I am not going to give up working to bring CA back from the brink. CA is worth the good fight. We have happy steer and cows BTW too.

The Donkey

is a old rickety place that has that Mexico atmosphere. Cases of beer for bar stools..the works..can be seen in top few rows of pics here...

The Alcopoco looks good

Still, when I think of Tex Mex I think of this picture http://cdn.head-fi.org/7/7e/7efe341d_TresHombres.jpg

Nah..

That looks like your typical Monterey House variety. The Donkey has that as well. I like the high end variety myself. I burnt out on enchilada's, beans and rice a long time ago...The Shrimp Diablo is the bomb ! Acapulco is awesome as well.
Oh and BTW, Galveston has pretty water but it depends on the time of year you go there. I've see it green/blue and visibility is great unfortunately most of the year spring/summer the currents and wind come from the southeast and bring all the muddy water from the Mississippi river this way and makes the water look like crap. That is the downfall of being on the north side of the Gulf and not the actual ocean.. If you go out by boat a quarter mile or so it gets very beautiful even when the water is dirty at the shoreline. Best time to go to Galveston is fall and winter after a few northers have pushed through if you want nice water. The fishing is always great. I have got a freezer full of summer flounder right now but i mostly do freshwater fishing..June , July, August and September, it gets to damn hot here to fish ! 100mph boat will keep you cool as long as you stay moving. Meeting my boating buds at the river tomorrow for some ice cold brews and 100+mph passes! Wanna ride? LOL

The high end?

Well, I've never had high end Mexican food even in Mexico, and I admit, my travel in Mexico was limited to all of Baja Sur and Norte, pretty much stuck with abalone, ceviche, carnitas and verde pozole (though the very best was a home made quesadilla of ham and swiss by a guy sitting next to me, Moses, on Tres Estrelles De Oro, when a restaurant refused to serve me because I was American, and Moses felt bad/ashamed.. it had been a hell of a bus ride, at one point the federalis boarded the bus and took a couple of guys off the bus at gun point.. it was great how the whole bus would sing or listen to opera.. and near the end of the ride the bus hit a truck driven by a couple of drunks backing out of a cantina at 4:AM.. but to three gold star's credit, they had another bus within a half hour and took many people to the hospital.. amazing thing was I was in the broken seat, so when we hit, my seat slid forward, while some folks lost their teeth on the grip bars in front of them.. even the hotels I stayed, where I had oysters and jumbo shrimp and fresh snapper, sea bass and grouper was pretty cheap.. I made some friends on that bus ride.. high end mexican food huh?

I saw the richest man in the world was Mexican.. Carlos Helu... wonder what he eats? "Simple home cooked meals".. hmmm

Well, I bet that Shrimp Diablo is killah at any price.. sure sounds good, and I bet after a Donkey kick ass rita everything tastes great at the Donkey (bet they LOVE Democrats hee hee).

Hi End

yes hi end for Mexican food...You know, Enchilada's , Burrito's, Nacho's vs Shrimp Diablo or Acapulco etc ...its a no brainer which one taste better and is a bit more expensive but none of it is what i would call very expensive. Perhaps exotic mexican dishes would be the term i should have used as they make stuff nobody else does...The DonkeyRita's are deadly...I usually eat before i drink. Not much on drinks while i'm eating except for ice tea... No DemocRats allowed ! Only Conservative Warrior's can handle the DonkeyRita's.. That means you will have to stay in California , sorry...lol

LOL

My gawd, I've heard of carding people, but to think my CA GOP membership card will only get me to the back alley at a place called "The Donkey", and we're talking MEXICAN, that's funny.

And it's even funnier to learn that it's not what's in the tortilla, but what the name of the tortilla that makes it "high end", because out here in the Republic of California, it's not the name of the tortilla (enchilada, burrito, taco, quesadilla), but the fact it's Mexican that makes it low end (the exceptions being the national chains with home bases outside CA, in shopping centers that never seem to last long). Mexican food in CA is blue collar food.

What's ironic is while CA cards people, everyone is assumed to be a Democrat, so if I was to show my CAGOP membershop card, I would be charged twice as much. The Mexicans believe the Democratic Party represents the poor and the Republican Party represents the rich.

Is Texas hip to fish tacos? I know you don't eat cheap Mexican food.. but I have to say, I think fish tacos are my favorite of all.. El Tarasco doesn't make them, but they do make the best and cheapest Mexican food in CA.
