Do Ron Paul Supporters Juice?

I've been juicing for about 4 years now and feel great. I hope that everybody else here is doing the same.

If you don't its an easy practice to do. As you know with all of the processed food out there you are getting very little vitamins at all.

Doing one juice per day can ensure that your body is getting what it needs.

You can get a Jack Lalanne juicer for as little as $100 or go up to a more expensive Hurom for basic juicing.

I prefer to make smoothies because you get to keep all of the pulp. You can buy a smoothie maker such as the Nutri-bullet for $80 or step up to a more expensive blender like a Vitamix.

Its fun to mess around with different recipes on a daily basis too. I always throw in a little hemp oil, coconut oil or coconut milk for the best taste and effect.

Have a good day and keep juicing.

This is what I drank for breakfast this morning

The standard ingredients: Organic carrots, celery, kale, cucumber, and apple. Then whatever else happens to be around. This morning I had some beet and some asparagus.

Yum! You can feel the power immediately going down the hatch.

Love it!

It's been a while

since I juiced regularly. I have a carrot apple juice every once in a while, though I've been thinking about getting back into it. Lately, I've been drinking a lot of raw goats milk.

I prefer to use all the pulp. My usual is greens (spinach especially) from my garden, carrots and pineapple. Sometimes add apples, broccoli, beets.

A special drink is about 3 ripe mexican mangoes. It gives me a head rush.

is this what you mean?

I can't do juicing

I need my sugars to be bound up in the plant fibers a little longer because I'm still too insulin resistant.

I'm getting better

I had to cut out the gluten, then a lot of other things because it's going to take me a while to heal all the way. My joints have improved by leaps and bounds, too.

People with gluten intolerance can't absorb minerals.

Fresh Juices are a great way to get nutrition except they are mineral deficient. Livestock managers have been providing mineral supplementation for more than seventy years. Can we eat out of the same fields and expect better results?

It takes 90 days and 90 nutrients to roll back the clock 10 to 20 years. A year ago I couldn't spend a pleasant day walking around Greenfield village, with grandson and my hips and knees. I am no longer favoring or suffering when I walk.

YES!

Been juicing religiously for about a year now and it's been fantastic. Just juicing one or two cups of some truly fresh vegetable/fruit juice a day does wonders to both your physical and mental health. Just a tip for people that want to start juicing is that you have to juice and drink it fresh and on the spot because the juice loses some of it's nutrients if you let it sit for too long. Also store bought juices only have a fraction of the vitamins (you'll notice a major difference once you start making it yourself) so it's highly recommended to make it fresh.

I know it seems like I'm exaggerating a little bit but doing this juicing diet has given me a huge boost of energy (much cleaner and more healthy than you get from coffee)and has also made me a lot more clear minded than I used to be.

Does one of these juice

Does one of these juice drinks take the place of a meal? Does it fill you up? I would like to try this I have been looking into this for a ffew weeks, would this be a good tool to lose weight? Has anyone tried juicing to lose weight?

does it fill you up

you'd think that would be an easy question to answer. but its really quite strange.

When I was juicing "seriously" I would make 64 oz of veggie juice (with an apple or two to keep it palatable) and drinking 16 oz for breakfast, and filling 3-16 oz thermoses to take to work and drink throughout the day. This strategy works well if you are committed. But if I decided to go out to lunch with the normal lunch group at work, I could eat a full lunch and drink all of the juices (which is not a good weight loss strategy). I was loosing weight when it was juice all day except for dinner, but only when the shakes were mostly veggies (instead of fruit).

I find that shakes fill you up more than juice (the pulp makes it take longer to digest). So a Vitamix is a better investment than an expensive pressure juicer. It is also useful for more things.

anyway, now I do a 24oz spinnach+carrot+fruit+yogourt shake at night before bed, and eat normally for my 3 other meals. I'm not loosing weight, but I feel great.

Thumbs Up

Been juicing for years, do it 2x a day!

Haha...when I saw the topic listed...

Haha...when I saw the topic listed, I thought this was going to be a discussion about steroids, which I thought would be an interesting discussion here on DP.

With that said, I do juice (fruits and veggies, not steriods), but not as much as I blend. I make a couple shakes a day using all organic fruits and veggies. My main ingredients include: rainbow chard, kale, carrots, cucumbers, bean sprouts, ginger, sweet potatoes, avocados, beets, apples, bananas, pears, grapes, plums, etc. Not all at once, just a combination of any of those along with some vanilla flavored protein powder.

My last Juice fast was for 49 days.

I am going to start a new one tomorrow. I am going for 60 days this time. I will keep you posted on my progress.

I am down

15lbs since I've started having a fruit smoothie for breakfast with hemp powder and coconut milk. Have done my new to eliminate all processed food. It's hard cause I'm a musician and get home late with the only thing open being fast food. Just gonna start bringing food to shows.

I juice, but more often use the Vita-Mix

Whole fruit smoothies with frozen bananas and greens = my daily breakfast :)

Easier to clean than the juicer.

I also have a wheatgrass juicer specifically for the wheatgrass I grow.

Yup

I still use my Juiceman Jr that I bought 20 years ago off an infomercial LOL. It sat in the cupboard most of that time but I pulled it out a few years ago and I regularly make carrot-apple-ginger juice and less regularly cucumber-melon or spinach-parsley-cucumber.

I need more good juice recipes...what do you juice?

ABSOLUTELY!

NutriBullet by Magic Bullet
After using a Juicer and wasting all the nutrients in the pulp we switched to NutriBullet. It pulverizes EVERYTHING including skins and seeds. And it only takes a minute instead of 10 or 15 to clean-up. The juicer clean-up was a deterent to regular juicing. By using the entire vegtable -- Kale, Cukes, Celery, Lemon, Ginger and Apple we save a lot on money instead of throwing massive pulp balls away!
