Lets all Play the MSM GAME...
I was watching John Stewart the other night....
who asked some interesting questions to the MSM Newsweek editor. Stewart even mention Ron Paul by name, asking why the blackout.
John asked, "Tell me, is the news ....is it ideological? What drives the news narrative?"---not exact quote but I believe that is how he asked his question.
Anyway the answer John Stewart got was very interesting to me. He said that the MSM are simply a bunch of "storytellers" and he said the "news cycle" is "controversy driven". He said, look at the headlines, its always, War against this, the battle against that. He said that reporters are always asked by their editors, "Where is the conflict? Where is the tension?"
So lets "play the MSM game". They play it like a game, perhaps we should too.
Ok, here is our candidate, Ron Paul.
What is the narrative?
Where is the Conflict?
Where is the Tension?"
Again, in MSM own view of themselves THINKS that what "drives the news story and what drives the narrative" is the questions;
"Where is the Conflict, Where is the Tension?"
So, lets look at the Grassroots. Where is the Conflict? Where is the Tension?
Ok, how about this:
HQ not listening to the Grassroots.
HQ not allowing the Grassroots to vote up or down on proposed expenses.
HQ not transparent with its game plan and expenses.
Now as a MSM news editor, then ask yourself, "is that news worthy enough that lots of people will want to read about it?" Answer: No.... who cares about that Conflict and Tension? As editor, your reporter did a story that just a bunch of nerds in the RP Grassroots, who cares about it? Even HQ does not care.
Ok, still unconvinced? Watch Zack Wolf, reporter from ABC who travels with Ron Paul ...watch as he has NOTHING to say, no narrative to report, no Conflict or Tension...and thus, why he is the ONLY reporter following Ron Paul around.

HOW DO WE create Conflict and Tension?
Notice a while back there was a news story about how RP supporters chanted around Rudy? A small story, but it had Conflict and Tension. Perhaps the MSM news editor is right.
Lets put our collective thinking caps on.
The Blimp has no Conflict and Tension....just the WOW factor.
How do we create Conflict and Tension? That is what --- according to a MSM big wigs, creates the "news cycle story narrative; Conflict and Tension". So where is the Conflict and Tension in Ron Paul and his quest to the White House. The Campaign itself does not PAINT the Narrative for us as say, Obama or Hillary campaigns do.
Notice how the MSM even LOOKS for it, when there really is none? Here the MSM has Obama and Hillary and its a lame debate. So they look for every slight, every bit of minor conflict and tension, and BLOW IT UP all over MSM. Why? Because these two are the "front runners" and MSM "wants to tell the story".
So lets ask ourselves.... what STORY do we wish to tell?
Here is our Product.... and its all about "packaging" our product well, then to get it into the "news cycle" we must have an interesting "narrative with lots of Conflict and Tension".
Any suggestions? Lets here them?
Should it be:
1) The baseball Player with a dream to be President--against all odds?
2) The country doctor who knows what ails American--goes against Washington insiders his whole life?
3) The reincarnation of a Founding Father, and what he will do to America?
FOR THE GRASSROOTS.....
1) To debate or not to debate, who is tough enough?
2) Compassionate Conservatives want war, Patriots want Peace.
3) To shoot the bastards now, or shoot the bastards later?

i say we stand in front of the parking garages and gates of all network news outlets in protest of the RP Blackout. when the "talent" doesn't show up on time to vomit their stories, we'll get some press.
Tension
The conflict and tension is WITH the mass media. They ARE the opposite of Ron Paul. They are the globalism we are fighting. This is their propaganda machine and they have it down to a well rehearsed science. The tension is against the CFR. I say leave Ron Paul out of it and get a few well spoken people to start telling the real story. That might make the news. But I don't think so. This is the real story that the opposition which owns the msm is blackballing. The tension is inside of the tension and they are masters at playing their own game.

I commend you on creative thinking but the bottom line is the NATIONAL media outlets are all owned by corporate conglomerates. If you look at the overall protfolio of investments for these conglomerates you will find that the NO BID contracts for rebuilding of Iraq and the support of military operations overseas are a sizable portion of those portfolios.Think about that for a minute, I wonder how much the contract just for the office supplies for the military offices overseas is worth. Follow the money to see why he is being blacked out.
If Paul got elected he has said troops would leave overseas bases almost immediately. How is that going to sit with their bottom line? Why do you think the other candidates who have made it thus far (aside from RP), will not commit to any sort of reasonable timetable, and of course they get all of the free press coverage that they want? It isn't about sensationalism or conflict or tension it is about how it is going to hurt the big bosses wallet and what that means for their jobs. There is all kinds of conflict regarding RP's campaign, I mean he is talking about throwing out the book on establishment politics for the past 100 years and you don't think there is any conflict there? If they were truly after conflict or tension they would be interviewing him non-stop hoping for him to say something that could bury him. These reporters aren't stupid and to be honest the only one who is coming even close to the line from the MSM is Glenn Beck. I am willing to bet he would outright endorse Paul if it wouldn't lose him his current TV gig. I mean, he said he would tounge kiss him if he werent a man and that he thinks that Paul is the closest thing we have to a Founding Father alive today.

I too used to think there was a shot that maybe we can do something to make them cover him but it is a futile effort. I mean seriously he released the most comprehensive, controversial, best bet economic stimulus package you are going to find out of any of the DC idiots and I haven't heard one peep from the MSM.
Keep trying but you may just be spinning your wheels. Keep talking to people and informing the public using the original news network, word of mouth.
Actually, if you really wanted to make a difference get a few Sat/Com engineers and a bootleg setup overseas then overpower the broadcast signals for all the major "blackout" news networks and pull a V for Vendetta style broadcast. That would surely make them report on it or at least get people to see a different view than normal. I mean if you want conflict and tension there you go, dee-bo their network and broadcast what you want until the feds kick in your door and haul you off. It is an FCC violation of which I do not know what the punishment is but it might be worth it if someone didn't have anything to lose. I am not openly endorsing this type of tactic but you did ask for ideas, lol.

But you are STILL not PLAYING the game.
Reporters are not LOOKING to create the Narrative, the Conflict, the Tension.
Campaigns KNOW THIS and so does the WHITE HOUSE and thus they give their pundits talking points which IS ALL ABOUT narrative, conflict and tension, and they discuss it till we puke. Its not a discussion in the sense of a trying to come to truth, but a discussion in the sense of trying to get everyone to believe...believe a certain thing.
So, recognize that Ron Paul HQ has NO NARRATIVE. Recognize that Ron Paul seeks to avoid all conflict and tension.
Now this is the beauty about Ron Paul and HQ, I will agree.
The only point being, it means we are not "in the game" and thus, not on MSM.
We have to provided the narrative, the conflict and tension. Then the pundits and reporters will all jump in and try to poke holes in the narrative.

Ron Paul Paparazzi The Answer
Start up a website called: http://www.ronpaulpaparazzi.com
Use the website to track Paul's movements around the country and get supporters to follow him incessantly taking flash bulb pictures of him and asking him about rumors related to his personal life (Is it true about you and Britney Spears? Do you sleep with roadie girls?).
This will eventually attract real paparazzi, which will get Paul in the tabloid press. Since the MSM gets its news from the tabloids these days, Paul will finally get MSM exposure.
Want to create tension and media buzz?
How many times have we seen Rudy get drown out by the raucous crowds of RP supporters. Previously, there was an article titled "Counter Intel sucks". We have enough supporters around the country to use the MSM to our advantage through the other candidates. Find out where they are appearing and when. Post the info on one common thread and alert the local meet-ups to get their signs and swarm the enemy gathering. JUST keep it PEACEFUL...loud, annoying, BUT peaceful. It's obviously affected Rudy and would really bother someone like McCain. Think of the Psyops factor on the opposing candidate, witnessing more Ron Paul signs than his own! Could you imagine if we bothered someone so bad that they got angry and lost it in public! Plus, the media would be all over it, as they have been before! I'm afraid we are going to have to generate OUR own tension.

you cannot defeat the MSM on their own battlefield
but you can cut off their supply lines. They are not underreporting Ron Paul for any lack of controversy. If that were really their motivation they would be all over him, because they could make a great war between him and the CFR candidates. You're wasting your time if you think their motivation is that simplistic. The reality is they are owned, funded, and run by the military-industrial complex and CFR-minded people. Dr. Paul is their worst nightmare. Stop watching MSM, because it will only frustrate you. Instead, cancel your cable package and help cut off their funding and influence. Then, whenever you feel like watching TV, realize you're about to waste precious time. Become a precinct leader and make campaign calls or knock on doors instead. Ron Paul avoids controversy
He is afraid of looking like a kook. If he weren't, he would distinguish himself from the other candidates by calling attention to their CFR affiliation. He would use his debate time at least to inform the audience about the CFR. Plenty of conflict and tension there.
I saw the writing on the wall when he ducked the 9/11 controversy. Conflict and tension there too.

HQ should have called (and still can) call for a NEW investigation by a blue ribbon panel of non government workers.... made up of physicists, engineers, lots of detectives, and so forth...
RON PAUL could USE this Call for a NEW investigation as a Whip ....all without saying he is a 9/11 truther. He can say he does not know what happened,...that he is still confused about why norad was AOL....that there are just too many unanswered questions... he could say he is a Skeptic and needs to know more, and DEMAND the that the American people have a right to know more....

Try to play it... see it from their point of view. I am not saying they are innocent or right, but it is wise to try to see the other man's point of view, even walk in their shoes a while.... try it.... play the game, think like they do....pretend that YOU are the editor of say TIME and CNN...you have 25 news reporters... you need Ratings....so what is the narrative on this Ron Paul guy? He is too old? He is really a libertarian in Republican clothing? Whats the story? Whats the conflict? Whats the tension? Who is this Ron Paul guy, whats his "story"? Get it?
Now, play the game.
First you should notice is that "reporters" do NOT want to have answer the above questions. They LIKE and PREFER that the Campaigns themselves answers the questions FOR THEM. Then later, talking heads like Chris Mathews can have fun trying to poke holes in the narrative, discuss the conflict and tension to no end. But it STAYS in the "News Cycle".
Ron Paul is NOT in the NEWS CYCLE. We ... you and I...must get him there.

I don't think a narrative would help
I suppose it would be like "revenge of the Nerds" because all the candidates, and the Old Media are like a bunch of frat boys blackballing Ron Paul and his revolution, even though, he is by far and away the most intelligent of the candidates.
But in real life, it is supremely difficult to break through that barrier. Bottom line, We know that the Repbulican party elite will do anything to keep Paul out of the picture, and the media facillitates this, because they are elites also - they go to the same parties, their kids go to the same schools, they have their connections they use to get news stories. Ron Paul disrupts their simple world, and they don't like it.
Also, the smears aimed at Ron Paul were a way to keep the more rebelious journalists away from him - it wasn't aimed at his supporters.
Bottom line is that Ron Paul or the grassroots need a significant accomplishment. Something tangible, that will really get attention - Think about things that greenpeace did, or Move-on.org or something like that. I think if there was a PAC that would run terribly negative and outrageous campaign against the other republicans, or against the federal reserve, or even the CFR, and not be connected to Ron Paul - something he would disavow. Now there is afine line, where you can really hurt yourself, but what has the grassroots got to loose, we are all just a bunch of Conspiracy nuts, and racists, and . . .
