Glenn Beck: "They should shoot all the Gitmo Prisoners In the Head" (7-9-2013)

THAT is what the self-proclaimed "Christian" Glenn Beck said on his radio show on Tuesday July 9, 2013.

I know because I heard it.

Then he REPEATED it so as to remove any doubt that he said it at all.

And this rat calls himself a CHRISTIAN???

To my knowledge, they haven't even charged or convicted every prisoner at Gitmo so some (or all of them) may be innocent.

But Beck says we should shoot them all in the head anyway.

Glenn Beck is an Arab-hating, RAT who represents what is WRONG with the GOP (and indeed much of our nation).

Beck's first comment on shooting the prisoners is at 5:45 here:

no disrespect or hate intended, but

the Christian religion is based on one main belief. That salvation only comes through God's Son Jesus Christ. Many sects may be based on Christ, but that doesn't make them Christians. If you really are interested there is plenty of info out there
cheers!

I get it...

Your Jesus is better than their Jesus.

Jesus would like that I bet.

Thanks for explaining.

I was told

by my parents as a kid that Mormons are trying to manipulate it all. Perfect way to turn away from God is to become a Mormon. Deceiving at its finest. But hey.. I was raised that way... don't hate me for it. I still love every one!! lol

I hope they didn't teach you to hate Jews and Muslims as well

Sad. I'm sorry

I wasn't taught

to hate. I was taught to not follow Mormonism. Where did you get hate from? I don't believe what they do. Big deal.. I have the freedom to do so. And you have the freedom to choose or none at all.

This sounds hatefull to me

"Mormons are trying to manipulate it all. Perfect way to turn away from God is to become a Mormon. Deceiving at its finest."

If you want to use the DP to attack a religion you don't understand at all, go ahead, I'm done.

I never said that

I said I was told that by my parents. Can you read?
And if I believe that are not, it really doens't matter does it?
I have the freedom to believe what I want. You seem more like you are hating and stirring up problems for no reason. Have fun!!!

Btw, Mitt Romney was a Mormon.

WTF? "Btw, Mitt Romney was a Mormon."

What does that even mean?

Romney

was a professional liar and proved it. By lying, it makes Mormons look bad because Mormons are actually good people that don't lie.

How many more chances should we give GB?

Hmmm?!?!?!?

I want one of the people saying that GB is an emerging libertarian and to give him another chance exactly how many more chances to give him?

He stabbed RP in the back 2 times over 4 years at clutch moments.

He's lambasted RP supporters.

Now, this.

Just give me a number. How many more times? Thanks.

I thought

Glenn didn't believe in Violence. He sure seems like a pansy on TV. Getting kicked off Fox, crying up a storm, laying down to the elite. His violence promoting is quite funny and not intimidating at all.

And btw, what heck is this new book he wrote? I happened to be in Walmart the other day, seeing his All Seeing Eye Crap with big words saying Glenn Beck on the end cap. Is he exposing it or not?

You heard it?

Why is your [headline] quote...
"They should shoot all the Gitmo Prisoners In the Head"

...different from the one in your link..?
"We’re going to shoot them all in the head..."

These are very different!

The second quote could easily be seen in the potential context of his making some typically bizarre Beckian point of which he may NOT have been saying he thinks that they SHOULD all be shot in the head.

Of course both quotes may have been said separately. In that case, I'd be as alarmed as you are.

So which is it? More information please!

It is possible the link to that headline was not referring to...

...the actual show on which I heard him say it - which would mean he's eluded to it before as well.

I heard him say it with my own ears on his national radio show on July 9th 2013.

In fact - he said it TWICE right before going to commercial.

And that was after Arab-bashing and mocking Muslims for a good part of his dumb-ass show before that.

No I'm not Muslim, but no Muslim has ever wronged me in any way - and I worked with plenty of Muslims for years.

Plus, I don't believe in mocking anyone for their religious beliefs -something Beck takes great delight in - and profits from.

BURN IN HELL BECK.

Beck's about as Libertarian as Obama and Bush.

"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."

Just another psychotic

Just another psychotic awarded by our evil society with untold wealth.

That's Beck in a nutshell.

To Beck, Libertarianism is just a prop, something to draw viewers in and discard like garbage the next day.

Best way to send Beck to oblivion is this: Do Not Click

Same goes for Anne Coulter, Michael Savage.

Even if it's a hit piece from the opposite side of the left/right lie.

This is part of how the false left/right media enable each other.

Calls himself a Christian?

I was under the impression that he is a Mormon. Lots of Mormons call themselves Christian, but I don't think they realize that their Christ is not the Christ of Christianity, but rather the "another Jesus" of 2nd Corinthians 11:3-4. They bring the "another Gospel" of Galatians 1:6-9. They call the book of Mormon "another testimony of Jesus Christ". They might as well call it "another Gospel" like in Galatians where it is warned against and distinguished from Christianity because of it's differences. The vast differences in ones theology from Christian theology should be enough to dismiss someones profession of faith as Christian.

False dichotomy

Re: "those who think they are Christians who spend all their time arguing about what Christianity means instead of following Jesus will"

That is a false dichotomy. The fact is, those who were instructed by Jesus endorse arguing about what Christianity means, as part of the way of following Jesus. Jesus himself turned the tables and argued against the religious hypocrites in their professed pursuit of religion.

Jude 1:3 "Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints." Jude goes on to talk about false Christians in the following verses.

The apostles themselves argued for what Christianity meant, even within the Bible. If you don't know what Christianity is, how can you ever follow it?

There you are--

following Christianity. Jesus didn't say, "follow Christianity"; He said, "follow me."

That is a big difference, and if you can't see that, nothing I can say will help clear it up.

Yes, there are many false Christians, in all sects that proclaim themselves to be Christians; why is that any kind of surprise.

Contending for the faith means being faithful. Just follow Jesus--

And the fact is that many Christians have been led away from the pure gospel by various detractors--

Schofield (sp?), for example, with his 'bible'--

has caused a tremendous amount of damage--

it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--

What kind of following is that?

Re: "following Christianity. Jesus didn't say, "follow Christianity"; He said, "follow me." That is a big difference, and if you can't see that, nothing I can say will help clear it up."

I'm suspecting equivocation on your part with the term 'Christianity'. Christianity is the following of Jesus. Where a group strays from that does not represent Christianity, but rather represents aberrations of Christianity. Jesus appointed apostles to establish churches which were commissioned to spread Christianity. Would you reject the writings of the apostles merely because they weren't written by Jesus directly?

Re:"Yes, there are many false Christians, in all sects that proclaim themselves to be Christians; why is that any kind of surprise."

The question is: "How do Christians deal with that?" historically, you can look at the early church fathers, some of whom were students and friends of the apostles hand picked by Jesus, and you will see that they 'argue' for their beliefs. There are volumes upon volumes of arguments for Christianity from the early church fathers.

Re: "Contending for the faith means being faithful. Just follow Jesus--"

This idea that contending for the faith does not include interaction with and correction of false ideas is completely foreign to Jesus, the Bible, The apostles, and Christianity. Maybe you should take your own advice and stop arguing for your view. That is not what the apostles modeled. They wrote letters to churches correcting their errors and sins with written arguments. Read the New testament, it is full of contention against ideas in opposition to Christianity. Most of the books of the new testament are letters sent to churches which are primarily theological and moral corrections.

2nd Corinthians 10:5 "We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ,"

Jesus similarly corrected pharisees and such. You say to just follow Jesus, but it's as if you want people to turn a blind eye to what Jesus actually did and taught his apostles to do. What kind of following is that?

I thought he was Mormon?

In any event, it sounds like the usual neocon rhetoric. They will fight tooth and nail to save innocent unborn children at home and then openly condone the killing of other people's innocent children abroad. Makes no sense to me.

I believe that we should respect all human life, not just the lives of those that are convenient or within our borders. A death sentence should only come after a fair trial by a Jury of your peers, and even then we should be very cautious as we have made mistakes in the past.

Well, lots of Mormons claim to be Christians.

I've heard Beck espouse Christian dogma and values in the past.

I guess he forgot about that part about Golden Rule thing about treating your fellow man the way YOU would want to be treated.

Beck is one of the most hateful pieces of crap out there.

I say go to hell Glenn Beck.

Well, if he's a Mormon, he's

Well, if he's a Mormon, he's a member of the Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-Day Saints. Sounds pretty Christian to me.
