Can I Smoke Inside A McDonald's Playplace? (Should I?)Submitted by Chris Cheesecurdski on Wed, 07/10/2013 - 17:37
(edit #2 - putting this under 'hidden knowledge' until I can do a complete rewrite. I will be doing this event as a publicity stunt to promote the newest edition of the Oxford English Dictionary and their newly-revised definitions for the words freedom, slavery, ignorance, work, war, peace, play, and a few others. Please excuse my vamoose)
(edit- there is a misunderstanding and it's my fault. I'm planning to do this and have been planning it since shortly after the smoking ban went into effect the day after Independence Day, 2010. I know how I'm going to do it but not yet sure if I should. Hence the post)
Wisconsin has a smoke-free workplace law.
Some McDonald's restaurants have 'playplaces'.
A playplace is by definition not a workplace.
Question: Should I go in, order a salad and a coffee, and enjoy them with a cigarette?
I'm not sure what this would accomplish but it would make for some entertaining youtube.
I'm trying to do the right thing but the law is so confusing...
