President Barack Obama has ordered federal employees to report suspicious actions of their colleagues

WASHINGTON — In an initiative aimed at rooting out future leakers and other security violators, President Barack Obama has ordered federal employees to report suspicious actions of their colleagues based on behavioral profiling techniques that are not scientifically proven to work, according to experts and government documents.

The techniques are a key pillar of the Insider Threat Program, an unprecedented government-wide crackdown under which millions of federal bureaucrats and contractors must watch out for “high-risk persons or behaviors” among co-workers. Those who fail to report them could face penalties, including criminal charges.

The paradise of paranoia

Can you imagine anything more destructive of morale -- in ANY organization -- than people being REQUIRED to rat out co-workers who show signs of developing a conscience? Exactly what are the "warning signs" that someone might be considering "leaking" details of government misconduct? What kind of a government will it become, when misconduct is protected, and expressions of moral sensibility put one on a potential-traitor watch list? Ah, the unbearable ugliness of being a government employee. Barack Obama is already in the ironic position of a black man trying to reestablish slavery. Now he's going to bring back cannibalism.
