NSA Rejecting Every FOIA Request Made by U.S. Citizens (7/6/2013)

I guess that's official, NSA is telling us :

"Oh, on your last FOIA request? Well, f... you."

...

Found on the Tikkun Daily Blog, via Cryptome :

Clayton Seymour, a 36-year-old IT specialist from Hilliard, Ohio, recently sent a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the NSA, curious as to whether any data about him was being collected.

What he received in response made his blood boil.

"I am a generally law abiding citizen with nothing I can think of that would require monitoring," Seymour told me, "but I wanted to know if I was having data collected about me and if so, what."

So Seymour sent in an FOIA request. Weeks later, a letter from the NSA arrived explaining that he was not entitled to any information. "When I got the declined letter, I was furious," he told me. "I feel betrayed."

Seymour had decided to request his NSA file around the time I published a post instructing Americans on how to properly request such files from the FBI and NSA. A Navy vet and two-time Obama voter who supported the President's platform of greater governmental transparency, Seymour was shocked by the letter he received.

"However, the central problem

"However, the central problem is this: Seymour’s letter from the NSA points to Executive Order 13526, signed by President Obama in 2009, as justification for the NSA’s FOIA exemption.

This order signed by Obama established a uniform system for classifying national security information, and stipulates that “information shall not be considered for classification unless its unauthorized disclosure could reasonably be expected to cause identifiable or describable damage to the national security.”"

What is this identifiable or describable damage to the national security they speak of. Please elaberate.

Write back. Can you give me

Write back. Can you give me one concrete verifiable example of breach of National Security, explain the actual damage done by that breech, and the physical harm done to specific entities? This is so I have some baseline to compare actual events of harm done, and if the harm done rises to a level of concern.

I'm not going to write the NSA, my friend.

I'm not going to write the NSA, my friend.

Nor to your POSOTUS "administration".

Instead, I'm going to write your congressmen and senators.

Again.

And they're going to be served, I'm telling you.

They'll have something new to hear, besides what they hear from their regular butt-lickers.

Go Cyril! Let him know an

Go Cyril! Let Ted know an economic collapse of the USA is the greatest threat to National Security, as it was to Russian National Security when they had their economic collapse.

Dont you think we could ask our "representatives" their thoughts

Don't you think we could ask our "representatives" their thoughts about this?

How about they'd try this experiment about themselves and the data the NSA has collected on them?

Finally, can someone please ask them, on my behalf, WHAT THE FUDGE they have to say on that early warning NOW:

Nevermind. I'll do it myself. That's not going to be mild in the tone of the letter.
