Please don't hate me for suggesting this...
If John McCain wins in Fla. we may be in big trouble. No, he does not have a ton of money, but he will have won back to back states and have the momentum. We need anyone but him to win. Realistically, this is not a "home" game for Dr. Paul. We are not going to win Florida. Now maybe he had a phenomenal debate tonight and gets a bump, I'm not saying we should not try to win. But if we are still sitting on 6% support and obviously finishing 5th, maybe we should wield our power at the polls by voting for either Guiliani or Romney.
If either of them wins, not only would there not be enough delegates on Super Tuesday to wrap up the nomination, but it would truly be an up in the air nomination.
Thoughts???
P.S. If anyone thinks this post is completely unhelpful, feel free to delete it...I just dont want McCain to have enough momentum to really make a sweep of Feb. 5th

Split the party!
I think it would be perfect if RP wins ... but a guliani victory is great ... the more divided the party ... the better for us

As a precint captain in Florida
I have spent quite sometime calling people for Ron Paul and the vast majority of them are for Guiliani. He can take care of himself. We need to support Ron Paul and make sure he isn't last since he has never been last in a primary yet. Vote President Paul and tell everyone about him. Here is a link to his economic plan just released - http://www.ronpaul2008.com/Prosperity
read this, print it and give it to everyone you know in FL. It will change their mind.
The lesser of two evils
This is the very same logic used by those who say we should vote for any republican to keep the democrat out. It is a flawed logic that only resulted in getting us more "insiders" elected. Anyone who suggests that we vote strategically instead of voting on principle either doesn't get it, or is on the other team.
VOTE RON PAUL EARLY!
VOTE RON PAUL OFTEN!

yeah
i thought about that, i don't live in florida but i'd try to convince anybody not voting for paul to vote for guilliani
"we fear change, especially nickels"
i've thought about the same
i've thought about the same thing. even posted about it. yeah i dont know how to weigh it. id love to see guiliani lose and drop out. but him winning will split the delegates. and since were all trying to be delegate (RIGHT?) we can take it at the convention. but i dont know if i can vote guiliani. on principle.
I promise you will not
offend me. I guess this is just my way of saying, I think we need to root for Guiliani...I'm sorry for offending anyone.
Sorry to offend..
you, but it is asine to EVEN THINK about voting for ANY of the "leading" lugheads. I do not care if the Republicrat party rejects Dr. Paul, I refuse to hold my nose and vote for any of them and SO WHAT if hillary or osama win the Democan race. They are ALL THE SAME and America deserves whatever occurs afterwards. No one can say they did not have a choice this year. I for one, will sit out the election. I refuse to vote for the "lesser of two evils". We have been doing that for 20+ years, and look where it has gotten us. From Bush I to Bob Dull to the present egomaniac, king jorge, we have been fooled by the power elite and it is Ron Paul or NO ONE!!!
Do you think you could delete
this post. We need everyone focused on President Paul. I understand where you are coming from, but we need to give President Paul as much of a shot as he can get. President Pau has not come in last yet, dont let Florida be the first time he comes in last.
Btw, I am from Florida, and I've already sent in my absentee ballot for President Paul.
Vote for Paul Pray for Giuliani
The best outcome in Florida for us (other than a Paul win), would be a Giuliani win. This gives him some delegates and keeps the total delegate count diluted, increasing the chances for a brokered convention. Romney has the money to go all the way. The rest are starved for fundst. Time is on our side so long as we continue to fund the campaign and get the word out. A lot of people haven't heard Dr. Paul's message yet or don't even know who he is. A long campaign hurts the others as they burn up or waste their funds, flip flop on issues some more, or say stupid things on TV.
wow.
just wow.
people on this board are considering voting for someone else when ron paul's name is on the ballot?
I can't wait for the moment i get to cast my vote for him.
how could you do otherwise?
and in the grand turkey race, if rp doesn't get florida i hope mcinsane gets it. romney has too many delegates right now.
I appreciate
all of your feedback on this. And I admit, even if I thought it was teh best strategy, it would be hard for me to pull the lever for anyone but RP. Let's just keep working at this.

it's better to vote for what you want and not get it
than to vote for what you don't want, and get it
Don't play god. Vote bec it
Don't play god. Vote bec it is your right as a citizen. Vote for who you believe is best for you, your family, your country and your future. Vote your conscience. Leave the outcome to chance, fate or God, whatever it be.
The straegy has always been to vote your conscience
If you start playing their games and sink to their level you will feel empty inside and turn into a newt...I mean sheep.

Vote for Dr. Paul unless you want more borrow & spend, along with more inflation.

I'm sorry, I don't do that... play strategy with my vote
I give my full support to Dr. Paul and vote that way. I've already voted in the California Primary (mail ballot) for the Super Tuesday election.
I understand that strategy may sometimes work... but I'm sorry, I just can't do that in good conscience. I vote my commitment and that is that. Maybe I'm not a sophisticate. But, my vote is honest and straight up FOR my candidate.

Best strategy for FL is to break Rudy
If he wins he will go on a bit more and perhaps win somewhere.
FL needs to break him good. Huckabee needs to be next, then McCain.
I don't know how much longer the Romney phenom will last.
I'd keep voting for RP as the best strategy.
McCain is rotten to the core and worms will burst out of his face soon enough! The media will go after him next. their strategy is to make everyone disgusted with the GOP because they want Hillary to continue their globalist agenda. That's why they must keep on ignoring RP. They are making him invisible to the already blind populous.

If Ron Paul supporters in other states had thought like this
we wouldnt be where we were today. Here's how I deal with a question like this. What would Ron Paul do? Well he would vote for Ron Paul based on principle, not the lesser of two evils.
I absolutely disagree
If you support Ron Paul, vote for Ron Paul. Let people who support Rudy vote for him. Imagine if people in Iowa or New Hampshire thought like you, then we would never have beat Rudy. Rudy can take care of himself. He doesnt need our support. I'm almost ready to call you a closet Rudy supporter and flag your comment. But I wont because I hope you were sincere in your statement. But I absolutely disagree.
Your Call
If you are a Floridian Republican, then of course it is entirely up to you whom to support. If you think a Benito win would be less bad than a McKeynes victory, I guess that's your call. I would still urge you to vote FOR Ron Paul. I take your point seriously, and if I were there I would be stressing McKeynes' failings more than Benito's, but would still support The Good Doctor.

Decent caucus strategy
given how we were screwed in LA. It would be best if Rudi won (as much as I hate that, he's THE worst out of all of them.) He has little traction anywhere else outside of NY. I know those are winner take all, but I'll take my chances with him in. Romney and McCain will hold up, and Huck should take enough southern votes to ensure it's a brokered convention.
However, this is a primary, and I would NEVER vote for him under any circumstances.
my thoughts exactly..
my thoughts exactly.. despite the fact that I can't stand the slime-ball
Quit freaking out
This is all about weeding out. We need to get this down to 2 or 3 candidates and then Dr. Paul will tear them apart.
I Like Your Attitude BUT
Vote RON PAUL 2008
__________
There is NO WAY in hell I'd vote for GIULIANI or anybody else except RON PAUL.
I feel hate coming on. I'll close now.

interesting angle. I wonder
interesting angle. I wonder which one it would be best, Romney? Huckabee? Julie-Anne?
