Gun Owners Brand American Rifle and Pistol Association a 'False Flag Operation'

When the American Rifle and Pistol Association launched July 4, it hoped to attract gun owners across the political spectrum who were looking for a "sane" alternative to the NRA. So far, that effort doesn't appear to be going well.

On various gun forums and blogs, the reception has been anything but friendly. Instead of being depicted as the new and improved NRA, the group has been described alternately as a "false flag group," "astroturf phonies" and "frauds."

"Here we are again, not so far away from important 2014 elections, and we have another fraudulent pro-gun group for the people," wrote the gun blog Gunalizer. "If you disagree with us, fine. Stand up and be heard. But don't put on a mask and lie about your true intentions," wrote the site Ammoland.

Bogus American Rifle and Pistol Association Promotes ‘Sane’ Gun Control

Ohio --(Ammoland.com)- Do you remember the phony “American Hunters and Shooters Association” that pretended to support gun rights … but actually advocated more gun control and endorsed (surprise, surprise) Barack Obama?

Well, now with the 2014 elections gearing up, another fake gun group has popped up claiming to support “sane” gun ownership.

They’re called the American Rifle and Pistol Association and they’re officially launched, July 4. But don’t be fooled by all the firearm photos on their Facebook ( http://tiny.cc/ypfrzw ) page or all the Second Amendment talk on their colorful website.

The Latest Not-Really-Pro-Gun Group

Here are the screenshots that show the Connecticut converted to Texan Chairman of American Rifle & Pistol Association who is an Obama supporter who is pushing Bloomberg/MAIG’s gun control campaigns while helping to promote Moms Demand Action, a group trying to pressure companies to ban lawful concealed carry so gun owners can’t carry in public anymore and convince gun retailers to stop selling the most popular guns in the country.

These are the publicly shared views of American Rifle & Pistol Association’s leader, and it certainly does not appear to reflect someone who is actually concerned with protecting the individual right to bear arms. These shared materials reflect an ally of groups that would take your guns without a trial, ban licensed concealed carry owners from even getting a cup of coffee at the most common coffee house around, and who thinks that gun owners with concerns about federal legislation are just little jackasses.

Just like the concept of “member-centric,” I don’t think that the leaders of American Rifle & Pistol Association actually understand the concept of being pro-Second Amendment.

Maybe someone should start an

Maybe someone should start an organization called mayors for sane gun laws and then use all the contributions to fight for open carry laws.

Love this idea.
