"I am a libertarian also, have a nice night."

As I approached the light it turned yellow. I saw the office sitting at the light opposite side of the intersection and thought to myself do I mash the breaks or will I make it passed the threshold of no return. I decided I would make it passed the threshold, and I was not speeding so I kept going. Sure enough, I got pulled over shortly thereafter. I do as I always do when it is dark and I get pulled over, I turned on the dome light in the car, pulled my license and kept my hands on the steering wheel as the officer approached the car. When he came up to my window, he asked who the car belonged to, and being my wife's car, I said it was registered to her. He said ok. I then told him I felt I had passed the threshold going through the light and he said, fair enough. He then asked who the stickers belonged to on the vehicle. I thought he was talking about the license plates and I stated my wife. He said no, not that sticker, the Ron Paul sticker and the anti Obama sticker, I smiled and said they were mine. He then stuck out his hand and said I am a fellow libertarian, shook my hand and said have a nice night. I could say nothing more to him, as I was in total shock, and he walked away. There is hope America.

Winning!

Awesome.

Isn't being a libertarian

Isn't being a libertarian state enforcer kind of like being a satanic christian?

where did this happen?

where did this happen?

my lips are sealed to protect the officer's identity that is how

we must roll. We must protect our own.

The R3volution requires action, not observation!!!!

Well, if it happened in

Well, if it happened in California I wouldn't be surprised.

I have a lot of friends in law enforcement.

you paint a great picture with words thanks for the story

As a libertarian I love my

As a libertarian I love my liberty being infringed upon by an armed individual. /s

Just know that if you didn't stop that 'libertarian' cop would've used deadly force to stop you even though you harmed no one nor were committing any crime.

Note to cops: Please don't pull me over unless I committed a crime.

you paint with such a broad brush my friend

all is not hopeless. If all is dead then why do you choose to still live, if you have no hope then what is anything.

I'm not sure what you mean about hopelessness?!?

My point was I don't find it funny or good when an armed individual infringes upon my liberty to say 'hey nice sticker, I'm a libertarian too'. I have zero need for police to do anything other than apprehending an individual that has infringed upon another individuals life, liberty, or property. A cop pulling someone over for going through a yellow light is a ridiculous waste of my money. If a cop wants to tell the world how libertarian he is then he can do it on his own time, on his own dime.

I got off

a couple of tickets for having a Ron Paul Bumper Sticker. I live in New Jersey too!

I also convinced my dad to be a Ron Paul supporter and he convinced his cop friends too!

Just Because Libertarians Can be Scary

Just because libertarians can be scary, doesn't mean they intend to be, nor that being scared of them is justified.

Of course, it's probably not a good idea to pull people over just to talk about Ron Paul.

What do you think? http://consequeries.com/

it was a very close call on the light Imissliberty

he had the right to pull me over in this case, I just pushed the envelope subconsciously, maybe it was the deviant in me I don't really know.

We need more posts like these!

It's always the bad apples that garner the most attention. It's always nice to hear about some good ones.
