Maybe it wasn't such a good idea. Thanks for setting me straight everyone. Still, let's make sure to target Kucinich supporters and get them to join the movement.

If he endorses anybody...
It will be Obama.
Folks...
...before getting all riled up when a post hits the forum, perhaps it would be best to understand the person and motivation behind the post.
For example, in the case of this post, this Heraty character doesn't appear to exist when clicking on his/her name. As do one or two early posters to this thread who supported the idea posed by the original post.
I suppose it was the same person trying to raise a commotion amongst the true RP supporters that frequent this forum; and it seemed to work.
Please take time to understand the motivation and intent of posts before responding when the subject appears like it will divide us.
Thanks for reading.
No No No!
Thinking long about this, I would have to say that this is a bad idea. A Democratic endorsement of any kind right now would destroy all inroads made with Main Street Republicans. It would leave him vulnerable to attack and criticism, distraction from the real issues.
Although I have the utmost confidence in the Doctor to handle it, now is not the time for a Kucinich endorsement. While I admire him for his fearlessness, he doesn't have a whole heckuva lot of support, hence his retirement from the campaign.
I also believe that Dennis knows this, and he wouldn't want to compromise his friend's real chance at the nomination.
Save it for the general election.
Sometimes we make the mistake of thinking that more people think like we do than actually do. These people are seasoned political operatives. Let's give the Good Doctor the benefit of the doubt.
Stop criticizing the campaign and let them do what they do best. If anyone knows the inner workings of the political game, it's Ron Paul. He knows what he is doing.
Keep supporting him with funding and campaigning, and let the experts handle the rest.
How will this sway Republican primary voters again?
I don't think the generally conservative, generally pro-war primary electorate is going to flock to Dr. Paul because Kucinich endorsed him. General election - great. Primary - bad.
We need as much support as possible!
Kucinich, Nader ect. ect. suporters/Voters
We are in the fight of our life's and the rounds are getting late in the fight.
P.S. I sure hope to God they don't put that Kid (Rudy G. ) next to our man again tonight!

Lets not!
We do not want his endorsement. Most Americans think he is out there and would make us look crazy! It’s not a ringing endorsement. Can we find somebody else please? I would much rather have endorsements from judge Napolitano.
Needs to be a carefull endorsement.
Cant not endorese RP economic policy but he can endorse his FP and defence of personal liberty.
What about his supporters?
It's not an endorsement from Dennis Kucinich that we need, it's votes from his supporters that we need, all 50 of them :-) No, seriously, does anybody really know the depth of his support in the coming primaries? In 2004 he just missed out on winning Hawaii by a small percentage, and got into double digits in several states, and got to speak at the Democratic National Convention.
I say who cares who these politicians support, lets go after their supporters. So welcome Hunter, Thompson and Kucinich supporters.
kucinich will endorse a democrat
Or he's done as a democrat..John Edwards would be my guess
I think Dennis Kucinich will enorse Ron Paul
This is a good video of Dennis talking about Dr. Paul. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=py8cXlLyX18
.
Welcome Kucinich supporters (with my open arms: left and right)
Holy guacamole. Kucinich endorsed RP immediately, no quips and hesitation, faster than a speeding bullet! He admits there are differences in approach to domestic issues, but their are in synch on international affairs! I think Kucinich supporters might like to watch this video and join the revolution.
I remember RP expressing the same fondness, if this is the right word for it, to Kucinich when asked about which presidential candidate he would support if not nominated.
Come on guys, gals, join the revolution and take back our country!
Thank you
:)

A Kucinich endorsement would be a detriment now,
but if Ron wins the nomination it might bring more votes from the anti-war Left in the general election.

Bump. Regardless of his domestic monetary policy (which is socialist) Dennis Kucinich is one of the few members of congress that have the courage to stand up in congress to fight for personal liberties. Dr. Paul has said they are "great friends" and he "respects" Kucinich for his stand on personal liberties. To me... any issue is secondary to freedom.
NOTE: I am not advocating violence in any way. The content of the post is for intellectual, theoretical, and philosophical discussion. FEDS, please don't come to my house.
I agree
honest people are hard to come by. Mr. Kucinich is concerned about civil liberties as well.

Kucinich chose Paul as his VP of choice
so there's a strong chance he will endorse Dr. Paul.
an endorsement or acclaim
from Kuccinich for RP for 'obeying the constitution and being anti-war',would be just fine.
I would doubt Kucc. would ask his supporters to vote for RP-c'mon,RP does not stand for all that he stands for, either.
But endorsement would not hurt us anymore than the 'pro-life' endorsement recently hurt us with those of us who are pro-choice. (ie,it didn't).
High profile endorsements from people, based on their position of choice works to our advantage. It's not 'collectivism'; it's reality.
Might be good to wait a day or so
I am sure he feels bad he put in so much effort and the media shut him out just like Dr. Paul.
Prepare & Share the Message of Freedom through Positive-Peaceful-Activism.
Insane
I'm sure Ron is quietly hoping this won't happen. It would be the end of his campaign if it did.
Endorsed by a socialist -- yup that's just what we need.
It's All In The Vote Count
Vote RON PAUL 2008
Vote RON PAUL 2008
FORGET IT
Ron Paul needs Kucinich like he needs all of the 9/11 Truthers endorsing him. He'll just alienate himself from the GOP base. He needs Republican votes in order to win the nomination.
he needs money there challeging him in congress thats why
that why he dropped out people are able to donate to his campaign for congress I think he is someone that needs to be kept in congress

"All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent" Thomas Jefferson
to the people that think it
to the people that think it is stupid to ask for his endorsement.....you are stupid! Ron Paul and Dennis are good friends and we probobly don't even need to ask for his endorsement because he already said he would choose RP as his running mate out of the whole field including dems. This would be a good endorsement i live in Austin and there is a good amount of support for him here so it could only help us.
T.
the polls
....there are a lot more dennis supporters out there and undecided democrats than one may think. just like the shenanigans that have gone on for paul: msm blackout, vote fraud, election fraud, caucus fraud, delegate fraud.
and here:
every vote counts.

A Kucinich endorsement? Are you insane?!?!
Dennis Kucinich and Ron Paul couldn't be more different. Ron Paul stands for liberty and free markets, Kucinich stands for government-controlled everything!
Not to mention, any association of Ron Paul to Kucinich will kill what little Republican base support we're getting anyways and would seriously challenge me to rethink my support depending on how Ron Paul responded to it.
Good grief you guys, do realize what you're advocating...sheesh.

NO COLLECTIVIST ENDORSEMENTS
Yeah, an endorsement from a socialist wacko is just what we need right now. Maybe he will also mention UFOs in his endorsement. We should call Nader too. Maybe the opinion of TWO socialist wacko's will get us the REPUBLICAN NOMINATION.
This FRONT-RUNNER campaign got hijacked by the "third-party" bandwagon. Being against war does not a libertarian make. It seems that too many past Nader and Kucinich supporters are now for Ron Paul because he is the next in line of the "anti-establishment underdogs". This is a coincidence. Ron Paul is first and foremost a capitalist. Paul earns his "anti-establishment" label for being a free-market, Constitutionalist; Kucinich is "anti-establishment" because he is a collectivist who sees UFOs.
How can someone sanely support Kucinich and then Paul? Though their positions might line up here or there (anti-war, pro-legalization, etc.) they have OPPOSITE principles (liberty, socialism). Ron Paul is running on the same platform that Bush originally did in 2000. I don't think Kucinich and Nader liked what Bush was saying then (regardless of the fact he was lying) and I don't think they'd like what Ron Paul is saying now. Any endorsement from fringe wacko's will only work to label the good doctor as such. These endorsements would NOT resound in the conservative Republican base we so desperately need. They would only result in more jokes from Fox News. Please think before you post; a curious conservative may be reading. Paul - Kucinich comparisons will not get us his vote.
If you're assuming RP is
If you're assuming RP is going to win the White House based on how many libertarians he can drum up, I think RP should probably throw in the towel right now.
Regan won on a big-tent message. You think he should have told all democrats don't bother voting for him?
You don't have to agree with someone fully to think they're the best for the position.
There are people who don't agree with a single thing Ron Paul says but they'll vote for him on 1 issue, because he'll end the war.
Kucinich has what 2% of democrats voting for him? That could be enough to sway victory in Ron Paul's favor.
Well said!
Individual support is different, but soliciting a major figure like DK or RN would be a big mistake. Everything is perception.
Socialist Wacko
I am one of those "socialist wackos". On Friday, January 18, I registered Republican at San Francisco City Hall and immediately voted for Ron Paul for President. We support Ron Paul for many different reasons. Ron Paul is a true anti-imperialist. So am I. I'm also an atheist and do not want to force a woman to bear a child which she does not want. I try to show respect for capitalists, deists and people who are opposed to abortion. If we wait for a candidate with whom we are in 100 percent agreement, we will wait forever.
Cool. I'm technically pro-war and I support Ron Paul as well.
I support Ron Paul because absolutely nobody cares about Internet Regulation except him. There are no organizations that exist to protect the Internet. The ones that pretend to actually work for those who want to regulate it.
So it doesn't matter that I technically disagree with RP on some aspects of foreign policy (like the overthrow of Saddam and his sons).
