My suggestion for all future Zimmerman posts

I'm tired of watching our collective narrative get overrun by the Zimmerman MSM circus. As was so eloquently stated ironman77 recently "Libertarians and progressives were united with regard to Edward snowden and Bradley manning, and a few other things. Now these two groups have daggers drawn over the Zimmerman case. Well played TPTB." I must admit, I fell into the trap for a bit myself.

My suggestion for moving forward here at the DP is that we A) down vote and B) no longer post comments on ANY post that is related to the Zimmerman trial, even if we agree with what is being said on the post.

Heck, I'll even start by down voting this very post myself.

I do not see the divide...

I do see a group of liberty lovers where one side argues against known facts and makes up a story line to fit the media's narrative, if not their own, and the other side that uses what evidence we know that was presented as fact, and using that to draw obvious conclusions. Peggy and I have been back and forth, but I can honestly say I hold no disregard for her in the least, and the reason I am so passionate about it is to hope she can some day see the light of reality.

Always remember:
"It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people's minds." ~ Samuel Adams
If they hate us for our freedom, they must LOVE us now....

Stay IRATE, remain TIRELESS, an

I find your comment to be confusing.

Perhaps it is because I have not read your discussions with Peggy. Are you saying that some people on this site are using facts to argue the outcome of the Zimmerman trial while others are not?

If that is the case, then you miss the point of the post completely. The point is that any arguments concerning the Zimmerman verdict are drowning out other discussions on relevant issues where the liberty movement was beginning to make headway. NSA spying being one of those issues.

I don't care if people use magic and toothbrushes to argue the Zimmerman trial. All Zimmerman chatter is unproductive as far as the liberty movement is concerned.

What should Individuals do?

Do you have any suggestions for them or only for collectivists?

"You are a den of vipers and thieves."

I mean to rout you out!

-Just because you are among us, does not make you with us

-The door is wide open, anything can slither in

My suggestion IS for individuals.

You may individually choose to reject the suggestion if you want the Zimmerman dialogue to continue to dominate this site.

Also, I have decided to UP VOTE your comment to show that I, as an individual, disagree with it. =)

Duh, I had to read this twice.

Before I realized that this was brilliant and MUST BE DOWNVOTED!

An insanely sane post, thanks for the enlightenment :)

I still have no idea what

I still have no idea what TPTB means. Could the use of insider jargon and acronyms be minimized from now on (other than when describing the alphabet soup government agencies)?

Thanks for the down votes.

Awesome Idea

Never thought I'd like to see a post of mine dip into negative approval. =)

The importance of the Zimmerman trial is in exposing the MSM

But yes taking sides is not the best way forward for libertarians.

We must concern ourselves with pointing out all the other atrocities that happen everyday that the media is not reporting and then point out that the agenda for putting this case into the limelight is to divide and conquer
