How will they portray Dr. Paul tonight?
Submitted by esircy7192 on Thu, 01/24/2008 - 19:10
I can't wait to see how they try to portray Dr. Paul tonight.
Why do you blame America for the 9-11 attacks?
If a girl has an abortion what crime should she and the doctor be charged with?
Would you choose Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as your Vice President if you win your parties nomination?
Why do you want to surrender to Al-Qaeda?
Meanwhile;
Govenor Huckabee, do you believe in God?
Govenor Romney, can you tell us how wonderful of a job you did working on the Olympics?
Senator McCain, how does it feel being singlehandidly responsible for the surge working in Iraq?
Mayor Guiliani, can you talk about Ronald Reagan and 9-11 all night?
»

Maybe
they'll ask Dr. Paul the questions they were going to ask Fred Thompson. I mean, why waste good material like:
Senator, do you think we need more naps in the workplace?
Did you and Alec Baldwin hang out while shooting Hunt for Red October?
Do you agree with Gov Huckabee's program to issue tax rebates to illegal aliens so they can attend public universities?
By a show of hands, who here is not a liberal tax-and-spender?
Watch the pattern of reruns tonight and tomorrow.
I'm thinking we'll see tons and tons of re-plays from everybody but Ron Paul. This is another way of manipulating with the press. They'll show clips of how everyone (but Paul) take a stand on this, or that......but this isn't carried on National TV, so the American audience won't see anything but the re-plays. Just what the mainstream press wants! They will show what they want, over, and over. And I don't figure that there will be much footage of Ron Paul. This is a brutal game. I've never seen such an effort against someone, not even Ross Perot.......

does anybody recall whether Romney
was in charge of that Olympic committee when the scandal broke out or did they bring him in to repair the situation? There was some sort of financial shenanigans associated with that Utah event if I remember correctly.
Also, do you know who the moderators are tonight? Is it Chris Matthews or what?

The conditions are RIPE.
For Ron to lay the smack-down on the other candidates NON economic agendas. Mccain has ZERO answer for the economic policies which leaves
"Im rich too" Mitt Romney.
Everything that has happened in the last couple of weeks favors Ron's issues. He just got Donald Luskin signed on as Economic Advisor
and has detailed his plan on his website. Its like Ron was handed a long in the works sword of economic truth to just bash the hell out of the next debate. I like that people are watching now, because of the economy.
Sadly, many people in America ignore the war issue because of the "it doesn't affect me so why should I care" attitude. However, they cannot and will not ignore the economy because it does effect them, AND THEY THINK IT DOES. This combo combined with the Fed slashing rates again (just what RP said NOT TO DO) will give him an opening that not only will serve him now, but in the future as well.
I think he will do well in the debates tonight, look for him to come out swinging.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed
after MSNBC aired the excellent piece/interview on RP the other day after the Judy shout down in Florida. Maybe this will be the turning point where he is treated as an equal.
It's the future of the
It's the future of the American people at stake. It's not a joke. Put the laugh track away. Get your head in the game, Rudy.
Defend Liberty!
yea..."tonight just might hold one of those PIVOTAL MOMENTS"
As a previous post said!! Hopefully something as GREAT as when Reagan said..."THERE you go AGAIN!!"
This debate wait is killing me!
It's a nailbiter for me right now and for all RP supporters I'm sure. I am however confident that Ron Paul will have his refining moment tonight.
Ron's not broke so expect a few cheap shots from the Ghoul and Huckster. Wouldn't it be cool if Dr. Paul replied "well, at least I'm not running on fumes".
I think
They'll treat him like an idiot
McCain will mock him
Rudy will laugh at him
Romney will probably just say something stupid --"you've been reading Al Queida's handouts" or something like that
Ron should do a shout out to Fox News -- You were right Fox -- there are only 5 candidates -- you just picked the wrong ones though
Paul Rudy McCain Huckabee Romney were the ones who should have been at the Fox debate
They will not ask him a question.
They really can't, to be honest. Any attempt to marginalize him at this point will have blowback, as Ghouliani found out. Also, they really can't give him time to speak... people might listen.
Edited. I mean the other candidates, of course.

I have a feeling...
...that tonight just might hold one of those PIVOTAL MOMENTS for Dr. Paul to change the name of the game on a national level.
GO RON PAUL - GO GET 'EM!
I AGREE
I think Dr. Paul is going to destroy the competition tonight. That is if they let them talk. I swear by God if I here Rudy chuckle tonight I will have to go look for a new TV tomorrow.
He won't be laughing...
Because he will be to busy crying as he tries to figure out where all of his money went. 8]
Seriously...
I think the mood will be more refined and dignified for Ron Paul this time around. (Money talks, Bullsh*t walks.)
I'd rather turn your
I'd rather turn your question around and ask: how will they (both the questioners and the other candidates) portray themselves?

Liberty for Dummies
I would like to ask a question
..if I was a debate monitor. What do we win, if we beat Iraq?
I mean--what are we fighting for? Do the American people get Honor if we win? Do we get Revenge? Happiness? Cheaper gas? JUST WHAT do WE get if we WIN..????????
one, two three, what are we fighting for?
Don't ask me, I don't give a dam,
Next stop is Pakistan...
sheesh
I agree Crickett
Exactly what do we win if we win the war and what do the citizens of Iraq win? a destroyed country and dead children, brothers, sisters and parents.
So far the primary argument
So far the primary argument I've heard from the other candidates is that if we leave Iraq without tying a big red bow around it, "al-Qaeda will laugh at us."
To which the only rational response from anyone who has outgrown playground mentality would be, "so what?"

Correction
Govenor Huckabee, do you believe in God and why does he demand that we vote for you?
sadly, that scenario...
...sounds pretty realistic :-(
LOL
