Too funny: 75 Ways Socialism Has Improved America

A much more trusting individual than I wrote this piece of Statist trash:

My favorites: The White House, the IRS, FEMA and the Prison system.

I hope to see a hearty discussion on this one.

You LIE about my positions, and expect me to be civil with you? Screw that. Act like a child, get treated like a child.

"There is no choice on taxation of one's income. It will eventually catch up with you, and I am saying that to all of you supposed sovereigns who go around BSing everyone that you don't pay taxes."

Garbage *lie* quote. I have never said any such nonsense.

Second, tell me a single path in which I can feed myself and survive without being subject to a tax? You can't. And simply saying that being offered the choice of one tax vs another is sufficient, is insane. That's like saying you are responsible for your own death because you given the choice between the chair or a rope. Give me a break.

If you attempted to eliminate all taxes, you would be a solitary cavemen, barely surviving on grubs... But oh wait, you owe tax on that property.

The Philosophy Of Liberty -

You choose to be here (the

You choose to be here (the US) and let yourself be taxed. You choose to be a part of this system by not living in the woods and hiding, being self-sufficient. Don't blame anyone but yourself.

Don't go acting like I love taxes or even think they are necessary. Taxes on income is unfair. Tariffs on goods is fair. If there were not taxes on income or your property, everyone could EASILY avoid tariffed goods and be self-sufficient on your own land. It's still possible now, just claim some area of land in uninhabited woods as your own and live there.

Not sure it would be worth your time

See the thread that's been running for a couple days, which both Freedom Ninja and I have decided to stop contributing to: http://www.dailypaul.com/292792/kids-react-to-controversial-...

The user "ramicio" does not want the soul that it has, wants to burn in hell, wants to be left alone to have property and be miserable, and apparently has a lot of loss to share but says that there was never any loss.

I'm not blocking this user account, but I am rather suspicious of it and will more delicately choose whether to discourse with it.

I love you. I'm sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you.

Can you read? I specifically

Can you read? I specifically said I don't want to burn in hell just because I was created and didn't want to be. I just want to plain not exist.

What about my account makes you suspicious? Paranoia... I would rather you block me. I don't even want to argue with people I don't agree with. The more people that don't even see my comments because it's already been figured out that we don't and will never agree, the better. I don't like arguing, but I will not stop. I'd rather converse with people of whom I am in absolute agreement.

what gives?

You write absolute nonsense, and then at the end you have one paragraph that makes sense.

You don't know the difference between tax serfdom and investment?

You also don't know that the roads aren't just paid for by those who drive through gas taxes? They are paid for by people who have lost their property to iminent domain. They are paid for by people who don't drive---through polution and loss of fertile land. They are paid for by the destruction of society they cause. These are all costs which are bourne by many people, and yes, they can be considered a kind of socialism. At any rate, they are the result of initial and ongoing tyranny.

You need to get a clue.

We're talking monetarily

We're talking monetarily here. People are offered money to move. That's their problem that they want to be a wienro and screw everyone else. Eminent domain is used as a last resort in those situations.

WTF pollution are you talking about? CO2? Seriously? Roads are now destructive to society? WTF are you coming up with this crap? Roads are not socialism.

Electric Cars and Hybrids

It's just a matter of time until the government will wake up to the fact that hybrid and electric car drivers aren't "paying their fair share" and they do something about it, like the current effort (really - call your rep today) to tax internet sales, when what they should be doing is ending the tax.

In the meantime, I guess they think the gas tax is a tool of social engineering, trying to get people to stop buying gas probably by moving to the city per Agenda 21.

Actually, of all taxes, until the advent of electric cars, the gas tax was the most like a fee -- that is, when they weren't diverting the funds to something other than roads.

What do you think? http://consequeries.com/

Well GODDANGIT YOU SURE AS HECK ARE GOING to get it whether you want it or not! It is FOR YOUR OWN GOOD.

Too funny.

So the argument here is

So the argument here is whether those 75 things improved America right?

75 x No = Fail

not a single one of those things, to me, made the American people morally, physically, or intellectually better. They increase the power of, and dependency on, the government, but big government does not equal better (happier) people. Most could have been done by private means much more efficiently and effectively as well.

+1 for discussion

If ignorance is bliss, Washington DC must be heaven.

"Socialism is not a bad

"Socialism is not a bad thing. It benefits each and every one of us in one way or another."

Conservation of mass? Does that exist? If i take away something from you and then give it back, there is no net gain. 'Improvement' is subjective anyways...

BTW DailyKos, Socialism is 4 syllables, not 3.

[from intro]

You see, we are still a capitalist nation. In America, you can still make a billion dollars, get a giant tax cut, and pay your employees barely enough to survive while you sail in your yacht to escape any guilt that might inconvenience you. So don't freak out just yet!

Free markets would never allow this. Companies would be forced to pay a living wage if there were no welfare state. Example: Walmart and Foodstamps. Or McDonalds.

3. Public Libraries

Don't know about yall but I've never checked out a book much less stepped foot in a public library in my adult life. I have my own personal private library, thanks.

4. Police....They are there to protect and serve the community, not individuals

Such a wonderful invention. Please tell us more about Police Department accountability and the Blue Wall of Silence.

5. Fire Dept

If you have to call the fire department, your house is a loss anyways. How many firemen have gone around intentionally setting fires just so they could put them out? (broken window fallacy) No thanks. I've never had to call the fire department and I fire proof my own home on my terms.

6. Postal Service...Like having mail delivered directly to your front door and paying next to nothing to send mail anywhere you want?

Lysander Spooner, UPS, FEDEX. No explanation necessary.

7. Student Loans

Artificial demand for degrees are sending young adults into debt and unemployment because market signals for jobs 'that are actually in demand' are being run over. Everyone having a loan to go to school also raises the tuition cost in a never ending death spiral thanks to #7.

11. War - That's right! War would not be possible without socialism. Your tax dollars are used to fight wars for your country. This is Big Government at it's biggest. Private companies don't attack other countries, at least not yet. Government is the only entity in America that can defend us from foreign enemies and our tax dollars are used for every second of it. Socialism has brought down Adolf Hitler, Saddam Hussein, and Bin Laden. War may very well be the most socialist thing on this list.

Is this satire? Is he serious?

All the 3 letter agencies

"Oh thank you God, thank you so bloody much"

22. Corporate/Bussiness Subsidies

End corporate welfare, this is not a good thing.

23. The VA

Yeah, the VA is so awesome!

32. Hoover Dam

Needs to be dismantled. Destroyed a natural ecosystem for human greed to fix a temporary problem.

33. State/City Zoos

I'm sure the animals f-cking love being in prison and many are privately funded. Game preserves and Wildlife Management zones actually are good use of tax payer money as some hair brained progressive usually hasn't over altered the landscape.

40. Swine Flue vaccine

This is so bloody important to my survival, let me tell you...

53. FEMA

Providing flood insurance to idiots living in the 10 year flood zone of a major river. Thanks FEMA!

Don't you mean 'OFFTRAK' ? You'll never see me on one of those death tubes.

49. PBS/ 57. NPR

What if I don't ever plan to use them? Do I still have to pay?
Strange the FCC isn't on here. They could talk about it's monopoly of the air waves.

60. State and National Monuments

Never been to one.

The greatest laugher of all

75. Civilization

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, you cannot be civil without having a body taxing you so that they and others may live in a lavish lifestyle at your expense. Declaring unjust wars, medical experiments on the populous, false flags to promote statism, the list goes on!

My brain is weird, that jumped out at me from your final paragraph.

Something like "false flags to promote statanism", in other words, they're sacrificing us at their altar, for their own benefit.

I love you. I'm sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you.
