Why are y'all still talking about that stupid trial?

Don't you see it is what the White House is telling the media to report on? The government propaganda station CNN is the only channel still covering it non-stop.

You are doing what they want by still discussing it. They were hoping it would start large riots and seem disappointed it didn't. That would have been the perfect opportunity to enforce martial law like they did in Boston.

Wake up folks, and see when you are being manipulated--instead of falling into the trap.

Couldn't even whip up a riot,

in spite of the best efforts by the DOJ's 'peacemaker' dept, the Community Relations Service and govt stenographers, CNN. Move along folks, nothing left to see here...until the next effort to bring down martial law.

Well a lot of people said we

Well a lot of people said we needed to have a discussion about this. I'm glad we've had the discussion on this like they said we should have. We can move on, now that the discussion is over, and talk about NSA spying and Edward Snowden some more among other things.

Because

this case represents what is wrong with the media, and being such is an excellent tool to use to wake up the masses.

no shit

but giving the media more views only validates their efforts regardless if you agree or disagree with their stance.

let it die already

Can we all ask the moderator to filter out negative posts from

the most viewed section on the front page? I think that it would be useful if we didn't display posts that have a negative rating. What do yall think?

Hopeless agreement

Some native traditions state that a person's soul will hang out for a few days after "crossing" because they wanna see that their loved ones will be ok but after that you kinda wanna "bless them on" so they can join into the "next place". And it's not that good to talk about them a lot cause their spirit will get called back here. And they got more important matters to pay attention to in the next place.

I'm taking no position on who was right or wrong, I have no clue, I wasn't there, I didn't see it but right or wrong, all of this probably has poor Trayvon spinning in circles.

Bottom line: a young man is dead. And it's just not right that he's kept spinning like this. It's incurring a spiritual debt that I really don't think we want to pay.

We might have to exert the power of prayer.

This lacks all of the formal fandangle but let's just try.

Trayvon Martin I am Smudge Pot. I approach you as a friend. We are sorry for what happened but it's going to be OK. We won't forget you. But it's OK now young brother. You can go home now and be with your ancestors. It's going to be ok. Rest now. And I hope to meet you one day. Next time will be better.

Amen, Smudge

You're on it.

Same bro

Always enjoy your posts/comments and sometimes we have to stand up and offer correction and guidance.

Don't need to tell you to keep the faith, I know you will.

Agreed

I thought most DP'ers would be aware of the giant shiny lure being trolled in front of them.
People are murdered every day in this country. There are far greater injustices taking place here and around the world for that matter. I can't understand why some are allowing themselves to be whipped into a frenzy like this. They've fallen right into the divide and conquer trap. It's pathetic.

And while I'm venting....I've also had enough of the all caps
"BINGO"
"BOOM"
"BLAM"
"POW"
"SHOCKING"
"STUNNING" headlines around here. What the hell is this the National Enquirer, or an old episode of Batman? It cheapens the experience here. Just post the F'N headline.

The National Enquirer

is one of the greatest investigative tabloids ever, we should be so lucky to be in the same category as them. Also, their writing is superb!!!

I think if we write like the New York Times, then we appear as Thunderbird wino's!

IDK

if you're being sarcastic or what, but I'll take your word for it. I don't read the NE or the Times for that matter.

The problem is that it fosters a
(((((((((HEY LOOK AT ME)))))))))) atmosphere where people feel like they have to one up each other to get attention for their headlines. It's juvenile and stupid. The DP is partly a news aggregate where people come to take refuge from the sensationalism and spin. If I want tabloid crap I can always go over to "The Blaze."

You are correct, Ralph

Now...onto more relevant topics...like pulling the plug on the Shadow Government of the USA...who are ruining this country before our very eyes.

They must be stopped.

Meanwhile

Russia is in the news conducting one of their largest military exercises ever, Israel is bombing Syria, and that cockroach Silverstein is back at the trough for more insurance money. I can think of a dozen things more pressing than this stupid Nancy Grace sideshow.

Couldn't agree more!

Ironically, you're still

Ironically, you're still talking about it. But yes. Agreed.

I swear...

I was thinking the same thing. I think I see it more here than I see on TV and it has divided the site on a topic that usually brings out the worst (sometimes closeted) sides of people. We can't even has a simple discussion about it without seeing something like this:

-Zimmerman was a hero (+17)
-Shouldn't self defense go both ways? (-30)

lol.

But it all seriousness, I was sick about hearing about it before, during, and now I'm sick of reading about it after the trial. At the end of the day, no side really won. A young man is dead and another man will never be able to live a normal life again.
