Ron Paul Super Bowl Ad

The were talking on ABC news earlier about the pros and cons of one of the candidates running a super bowl ad. It would cost $2.7 million. What do you guys think, out of curiosity. Would it be a good use of funds, or could Paul get more exposure for that amount of money another way?

This would be a good Idea if....
Ron Paul would have to inject something along the lines of,"don't let the media decide for you who should be President" If this point is not made within his message I don't think we will get our monies worth. The American people do not like being fooled or told what to do, period and he needs to tap into these feelings of ordinary people.

But a target Ad could work
A national ad is not the way to go, but targeted ads in local markets could go a long way.

What you don't want to know
It has to be done. You must do it. You might think that someone else will do it for you, but no one can replace you canvassing your precinct. Please do not think that it will be okay and other people will do it. Everyone needs to become a precinct leader and canvass. I know you give $$, post signs, etc but we ALL need to canvass. People are so thirsty for this message, and they are very kind to those who bring it to them. WHen you go door to door canvassing in your precinct, you will be amazed how easy it is to get Dr. Paul's message out. When they are alone in the voting booth, they will remember learning the message from someone who was passionate enough to get out and talk to people about it. Please do not wait for someone else to do it. Please become a precinct leader and canvass your precinct/neighborhood. You will be AMAZED at how effective it is.
I don't understand the interest in a super bowl ad.
Isn't that audience fairly soused by the time the commercials come? I don't think they are intellectually engaged during that event. I don't mean that as a criticism or insult.
I'd rather pay a 1000 people
I'd rather pay a 1000 people $2700 to canvass for a couple weeks
I'll SECOND that!
THAT is thinking outside the box.
Please don't ask me if I think the "official" campaign is on the same page, though.
"Luctor et Emergo" - Struggle and Emerge
I'd rather pay a 1000 people
I'd rather pay a 1000 people $2700 to canvass for a couple weeks
Excellent idea!!!
With the economy going south on us and so many young people unemployed this would be a win-win situation. The media doesn't want to include Ron in on their news so we should make our own. If they went out and told people that Ron decided that instead of sending money to a biased media to get his name out there he decided to do something that would help him and help others at the same time. They could tell how the economy has impacted them and their finances and Ron is thinking outside the box. Ron thought that he could get better coverage by employing honest hard working youngsters that were unemployed and still get his message out. This way the media doesn't get the bucks of which a majority of would go to some billionaire and the money goes right back into the economy by helping those that needed it the most. Anyone else think this is a great idea?????
I'll second that
